About

Originally a Roaring 20s casino and speakeasy, The Tudor House was built in 1928 by the infamous mobster Bugsy Siegel. After realizing that Lake Arrowhead was quickly becoming the escape for the Hollywood elite, Bugsy opened this exclusive members-only resort in 1929. At that time, the resort included luxury guest quarters (The Bracken Fern Manor still exists today), horse stables, an Olympic sized pool, tennis courts, a private gas station, an artisan well which was used for moonshine and most importantly - privacy. All at a rumored cost of over $1 million dollars.

This sprawling retreat in Arrowhead Villas has been completely restored to its original magnificence and is now a historic dining and wedding venue. The vaulted ceilings, great stone fireplace and raised stage give the room the perfect ambience. When you enter into the Grand Hall at The Tudor House, the room comes to life and you step into a bygone era.

While the Tudor House is absolutely beautiful and so unique, we had a few hiccups. If you are using the grounds, you can decorate and prep the day prior and the day of. If you are using the inside, you can only decorate the day of your wedding and must pay by the hour. In addition, you have to clean up, vacuum and vacate the inside by 10pm. You may stay in the grounds until 11pm.
We did everything ourselves from rental, to center pieces to appetizers, to set up to just absolutely every detail. In the end it was just too much for 2 people who are getting married to do on their own. The rain did not help the situation either.
Other then that it is a beautiful and unique venue. The people who are in charge of booking and in charge of the grounds are absolutely wonderful. If this is the setting you want for a wedding of 50-60 people, I would recommend to hire someone for set up and clean up unless you are 10 or less people.
We paid 800$ for 5 hours. Rentals: tent, chairs, tables, plates, glasses, cutlery, linens, heater, etc, we spent 2200$.

Awful experience don’t recommend to anyone!

My now husband and I got married at this venue. We were supposed to get "wedding coordinators", which they were not they were scammers. They would say a price on one thing then change it later to get more money. These so-called wedding coordinators did absolutely nothing to help us with the wedding. NOTHING! Even when it came to the wedding they were nowhere to be found. I urge anyone trying to have a wedding here NOT TOO! Every step of the way was a battle with these hagglers. Not only are these so called "wedding coordinators", awful, the owner is rude, drinks too much and does not help any guests with issues they might have. The owner was upset that our wedding did not start on time, when do weddings start on time? He left right after the wedding started as well. We were literally 2minutes late with our wedding. The reason our wedding was even two minutes late, is because he refused to help us with audio for songs for the wedding! If I could give this place zero stars I would! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!

Awful do not have your wedding here!

If was the worst experience ever!! They didn't do anything they said they would. They charged us a ton of extra money and tried to back out of the contract that was written up, agreed on and signed. They refused to show us how to use the sound system so music wasn't going to happen. The owner is a rude jackass and a terrible business owner. The wedding planner didn't do anything to plan the wedding the Bride's aunt took over planning. PLEASE DONT waste your money or time here you will be horrible disappointed!!
