Couples looking for a more intimate affair have come to the right place as this industrial space offers a more inviting atmosphere with its close quarters.

The Durham Exchange offers a list of preferred vendors that you can choose to work with whom are located in the Triangle area. However, if you would like to bring in your own vendors, you are more than welcome to do so. The Durham Exchange provides two onsite managers to ensure that the venue operates smoothly on your big day. Their wedding packages include, but are not limited to:

  • 2 get ready suites
  • A wedding arch
  • Chairs and tables
  • Black, white, and navy linens
  • Setup and breakdown
  • A prep kitchen
  • Use of microphones, audio system and projector

History

The John O’Daniel Exchange building began as a way for community members to adapt and grow in Northeast Central Durham. Whether the purpose was to provide minority jobs, empower women for economic independence, or house nonprofits working to make a difference, this company is a place of hope and opportunity for the community. Now, their mission remains the same as they provide a home for many small businesses and provide affordable wedding and event space for this community. Providing office space as well as event space has been a key part of owner Wendy Clark’s vision for building a community in Durham. Here, they cultivate entrepreneurship and healthy relationships as part of their rich history.

The Wedding Exchange

I needed a venue to host a writing workshop. This location provided ample s[ace, electrical outlets for laptop connections, projector for my power point presentation, etc. This space has such an inviting atmosphere and privacy not only to host the event, but to serve brunch all in one place. The staff is very responsive and excellent to work with. The quality of service is superb !

Top Notch Customer Service

Ellory and her team were nothing short of amazing throughout the wedding planning process for my October 5th couple, Moriah and Adam. If we had any questions about the space, she was quick to respond with an answer and any needed suggestions.
