The Wooly is a distinctive venue suited to host your wedding reception, holiday party or cocktail party. We provide delicious in-house catering and a full service bar on-site. We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Gainesville, just minutes away from The University of Florida. The Wooly is here to serve up a good time!

ACCOMMODATIONS

150 people for a buffeted dinner or up to 400 for a cocktail-style reception

CATERING

Catered by the Top Restaurant. We also allow outside catering with insured licensed caterers.

FULL SERVICE BAR

We serve cocktails, a variety of craft beers, and a selection of great wines.

Tobin Wedding Review

I just celebrated my wedding reception at the The Wooly and it was absolutely perfect! Bailey was incredibly accommodating, thoughtful, responsive, and a general pleasure to work with! Our guests raved about every detail - from the incredible food (focaccia in particular was a huge hit), the amazing bar staff, the sound system, and the look & feel of the space. The Wooly is the greatest space in town to really highlight Gainesville, which is exactly what my husband and I were wanting. I could not recommend this venue more for a special event.

Amazing staff and atmosphere

Thank you so much to The Wooly for a beautiful wedding celebration for my son and his beautiful bride. Bailey and her staff were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for anything better! The atmosphere was fabulous and space was perfect!

The Wooly Wedding

I had my wedding here 11/12/2022 and I could not have asked for a more smooth experience. Bailey, with Top Secret Events, The Wooly and Mercer + Smith event planning made my day a breeze. I would choose them over and over again. Bailey was very thorough and quick to respond to our questions and concerns.
