History
Since 1983, the Tobacco Farm Life Museum has been preserving the history and cultural heritage of the Eastern North Carolina farm life. It was established by a group of local families who had pride in their past and a strong volunteer spirit. Having seen the way of life of their parents and grandparents becoming obsolete, these families wanted to preserve this personal and special history for future generations. It has now grown to an internationally recognized and accredited museum and continues to interpret and present important rural legacy to the public.

I'm so glad we chose the Tobacco Farm Life Museum for our wedding venue! The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. We even got some of the best pictures of our day from Melody! They worked with us to have the perfect day and even helped us work on a back up plan if it were to rain. The venue was perfect, very peaceful, quiet, and stunning with the history and buildings. Location was perfect and there was plenty of parking for all of our guest. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing and the tobacco museum would be our first go to!
