Traine is a modern, yet historic wedding venue in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. With original brick walls from the early 1900s and wood timber beams, this space is where elegance meets contemporary. This venue also features an open concept floor plan, which gives you the opportunity to create a wedding that is tailored to you and your guests.
Facilities and Capacity
This 4,400 square foot open space floor plan provides a wide range of opportunities for your special day. Hardwood floors offer a rustic aesthetic, while the white exposed brick walls add a contemporary flare to the atmosphere. In addition, the space opens up to a beautiful outdoor deck, which is the perfect spot for cocktail hour. With an outdoor and indoor combination in addition to its city and modern vibe, this open gathering space offers couples the ideal venue on their wedding day.

The team of coordinators at Traine will work with you to bring your wedding visions to life. They understand just how important this day is to you, which is why they will do whatever they can to make sure the day runs smoothly and the event space is just how you imagined. Location
Traine is nestled in the historic Seaboard Railroad Station in downtown Raleigh, adjacent to the new $700 million dollar development of luxury retail and housing options. In the tree-lined walkways of William Peace University, it is the perfect combination of vintage and modern as well as conveniently located in the center of the hotels, nightlife and world-class restaurants. With walking distance to a variety of downtown attractions and next to many great shops within Seaboard Station, there are a variety of activities you and your guests will be able to do prior to and after your special day.
History
This city venue was built in the early 1900s as the original Railway Express operation in Raleigh. Now, it is used as an event space for weddings and other special affairs for couples looking to incorporate a historic charm in their big day.

A little about Richelle…
For the past 17 years, Richelle has been in the service industry offering dedicated, solution-focussed hospitality within fine dining and private event management. She has a strong passion for making sure her clients feel heard and understood. She brings to Traine a strong understanding of both the food & beverage industries, as well as corporate planning strategies to stay within budget.
Richelle approaches every event like a new invention that should have the ability to be creative and think outside of the box in order to create a unique experience, not just another event.
When Richelle is not working, she is with her 3 hilarious sons, building lego cities or teaching them to swim and surf at the beach. You may run into her singing at a local cafe or at church and if so, jump up and sing with her.
Richelle has her Bachelor of Arts degree from Moody Bible Institute in the one-of-a-kind city of Chicago, IL where she studied Cultural Studies, Bible Theology and Philosophy.

A little about Abby…
Abby joined the Traine team in 2017 as the Venue Coordinator while finishing her Bachelors Degree at NC State – go Pack!! She has a huge love for all things weddings + events, having worked for catering companies, florists, rental companies, planners, and even in a wedding stationery shop! Over the next year, she assisted in the venue’s tours, planning weddings and events, designing + coordinating styled shoots and open houses, and much more behind the scenes. Upon graduating in May of 2018, Abby made the move to Charleston, SC, where she currently resides. She has stayed on the Traine + APG team remotely since then, overseeing all things social media as our Social Media + Marketing Manager. Abby currently has her own wedding planning business based in Charleston (Suterland Weddings), and also works for a wedding florist.
