A bit about me...

My name is Troy Durrance and I'm from Lancaster, NY. Yes, you guessed it, I'm the photographer for Troy D Photography. I'm a bit kooky and little off the wall sometimes, but I'm also very creative and VERY 'outside the box'. Maybe it goes hand in hand, I'm not sure. Don't worry though, I'm harmless... unless you count the bad jokes, they can be quite painful. When comes to capturing images, my goal is to work with your ideas and merge them with my creative talents. I want you to be as much a part of this as possible.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my passion with you. I’m not a large company with only profits in mind. I’m a photographer. My passion is getting the best photographs for you. That's not to say that I’m not business minded. I understand deadlines, quotas and fulfilling contracts and commitments. I have worked in sales and customer service for well over 20 years, so I understand how important it is to do a good job and leave a good, lasting impression.

My Style...

I love using dramatic lighting and going for an edgy look. I love the classic black and white. I try not to use props or gimmicky themes. They can be cute shots, but I call them 'fridge shots'. They'll hang on your refrigerator for a few weeks or a few months, they'll get replaced with something else and eventually be tossed in to the 'junk drawer'. I prefer to give a classic portrait that you would be proud to hang on your wall for years to come.
