About
Calligraphy is a simple, but beautiful way to add a personal touch to everything from your wedding stationery to your outgoing mail.
A longtime lover of handwritten notes and homemade cards, I grew up in Oklahoma, where I filled ruled paper with neatly printed words, practiced block letters in the margins of notebooks and absent-mindedly doodled cursive into thin air with my index finger. These dreamy preoccupations followed me to college, where I studied Film and English and my class notes were habitually filled with lecture-inspired lettering.
While working in the entertainment industry, I took a calligraphy class in formal Spencerian Script and was immediately hooked. It was an on-again/off-again hobby until I impulsively offered to do calligraphy for a friend’s wedding. She wanted something a little less Declaration of Independence-looking than Spencerian, so I delved into modern calligraphy, working on personalizing a style for her big day.
Working for friends soon evolved into working for friendly strangers and a whole new career. Now I spend my days addressing envelopes, trying to visually capture the weight and beauty of words and drinking more coffee than I probably should.
If you have any questions or want to chat about a custom project, I’d love to hear from you!
