Vennebu Hill is a rustic yet elegant and modern wedding & event venue located in Baraboo, Wisconsin - minutes from downtown Wisconsin Dells. This Norwegian-inspired barn venue showcases beautiful views of the Baraboo Bluffs and Wisconsin River while offering great amenities and modern perks. Vennebu is a Norwegian term meaning “a gathering place for friends and family.”

Facilities and Capacity
Vennebu Hill offers both indoor and outdoor event space options for an unforgettable ceremony and reception. This secluded, year-round venue offers two main indoor event spaces that seat up to 350 people. The indoor spaces consist of a 2,800-square-foot upper level and a 5,700-square-foot lower level, both offering A/C and heating. Outside, they have a beautiful 4,500-square-foot patio area. The ceremony space is separate from the dining and cocktail spaces so that guests can enjoy the seamless transitions throughout the event. The facility is fully equipped with audio-visual capabilities, including in-house sound, lighting, and large screens for presentations. It also includes a full commercial kitchen space with warming capabilities, two get-ready rooms, coat closet, and lobby.

We first saw the venue when it was in the beginning stages of being built, but the venue managers and the amazing view completely sold us. The overall process was still being figured out, but by the ... Read more end we had the most amazing, perfect day. The venue is absolutely stunning and all the guests could not stop gushing about how beautiful it was. From overlooking the river and trees at the outdoor ceremony site, to the lighting and details in the dining area, to the incredible chandelier in the barn area, you don’t need many decorations to make this place shine, it does that on it’s own. The attentiveness and creativity by the staff on the day of completely put me at ease, and everything went so smoothly (or at least I didn’t notice!). I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for an upscale, elegant place with a rustic, homey, personal feel.

Beautiful venue, screeching windmill

The venue is beautiful. The wedding was outdoors with a beautiful view and the weather was warm, sunny and breezy. That sounds perfect, however, the old windmill which at first glance was cool, a link ... Read more to the past, became the bane of the wedding ceremony. As the wind blew and the blades turned, the raw, screeching sound overpowered the event. In particular the shrill, high pitched sound drowned out the soloist and the ceremony itself much to the chagrin of the minister.
