Renee is a gifted and enthusiastic musician

who began playing the violin when she was

six years old. She has Bachelor of Music Education

degree from the Wheaton College Conservatory

of Music where she studied violin and voice

performance as well as strings pedagogy.

She serves as the Director of the K-12 orchestra

program at Worthington Christian School in

Worthington, OH and has a large private lesson

studio. In her free time, she plays for special

events as a part of her church’s worship team.

Pendra founded Viva la Strings in 2008 to provide more paying performance opportunities for local musicians and to offer more access to quality music to our community. In addition to playing and running the day to day operations of Viva la Strings, she plays with area orchestras and for special community events. Pendra holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana State University. Pendra is a freelance musician available for various concerts, shows and special events, and is a former member of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Jacob is a Cleveland, OH based musician and arts administrator. A southern Ohio native, he received his Bachelor of Music degree, Church Music Ministry, from Cedarville University in 2015, and Master of Music degree, Violin Performance, from Belmont University in 2017, receiving the Belmont University President’s Award in 2017 as the Classical Performer’s Concerto Competition Winner.

In 2016 Jacob formed Viva La Strings’ Nashville team. Under his direction as Nashville Manager, Viva La Strings-Nashville was featured in the National Geographic Channel series “Origins: The Journey of Humankind,” performed with major touring artists PinkSweat$, JOHNNYSWIM (also with Bryan & Katie Torwalt of Jesus Culture, Colbie Caillat, and Tori Kelly), We Are Messengers, and Stars Go Dim, and performed at private events for celebrity clients Brian McKnight, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, Rhett Akins, Dog the Pug, Tennessee Titans Kevin Byard, and more.
