1 Waveland Historic Site Reviews
Married on 09/22/2007
This is a GREAT location for an outdoor wedding. It was very inexpensive (only $500) and they have a beautiful historic building and gardens. We got married in on of the gardens at dusk and the sunset ... Read more sunset was perfect. We also set up a tent in the field for our reception and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! The keepers of the grounds were so nice and they even set up lanterns on the walkways for us!! It was great!!! Only one problem.....it is very close to a railroad track and in the middle of our ceremony the train did go by and blow its horn. We all laughed about it and knew it would happen! it was practically in our program!! PAUSE FOR TRAIN!! Still very much worth it!
