The Wilburton is an elegant historic estate in Manchester Village, Vermont with a 1902 mansion, rolling lawns and gardens and fabulous views. As you ascend the maple-lined driveway, past the stone walls and cascades of River Road, the views of the Battenkill Valley stretch below, and the vistas of the Taconic and Green Mountains surround you. The1902 Mansion is the backdrop for your ceremony, with a dramatic entrance down the marble stairway to the grand lawn, surrounded by romantic gardens and breathtaking views. The views from our hilltop of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous in every season.The Vermont marble pavilion tent is the perfect setting for your reception for up to 200 guests. The 30 acre hilltop has on site accomodateions for 100 guests, with more lodging nearby.
Plan a full weekend of activities for your family and friends to enjoy together, including rehearsal dinner, bonfire, brunch,afterparty-- plus pool, tennis and lawn games right on our property. There is room to roam surrounded by thrilling mountain views, sculptures and art to inspire your creativity.
For the reception, our Marble Terrace Pavilion is a glamorous tented outdoor space with a floor of local Vermont white marble, mountain views and room for 200+ guests to dance and dine all together. Smaller events can choose the Mansion Reception with dining and dancing in the lovely outdoor awning-covered terrace and the mansion's historic dining rooms.
The Wilburton’s experienced wedding team work closely with each couple to create a unique celebration reflecting your taste and style. Our chef creates delicious menus ranging from rehearsal dinner BBQ to elegant banquets, all of which can be customized to your taste. We are affiliated with Earth Sky Time Farm, which bakes wood-fired organic bread served at breakfast and events, and can provide farm-to-table vegetarian catering. Our wedding team can recommend wonderful local florists, photographers, musicians etc or work with the team of your choice.
We always provide wonderful food, excellent service and an extraordinary romantic setting. Wilburton wedding styles range from casual to traditional. The absolute BEST!
Meesha was so patient and such a helpful guide in the planning process. She was amazing at bringing together all the moving pieces and especially in 2022 that is a major feat! With each hiccup like rental companies not having any stock, or me ordering the wrong escort cards, etc. Meesha would brush it off, tell me it was no big deal and find a solution. I could not have done any of this without her. The unique beauty of The Wilburton is that it has a very special warm, homey, and comfortable feeling while still being a really grand and beautiful property. We filled every room for the weekend which made it feel like summer camp - everyone running around, being together and enjoying the grounds and the funky, incredible art installations. We truly had the best experience planning and hosting our wedding at The Wilburton and have spent the past week fielding texts and calls from all of our guests who loved it just as much. The whole weekend was so special. I wish I could do it all over again!!

The Levis family has owned and run The Wilburton for almost 35 years. The next generation continues to welcome couples to create personal and beautiful destination weddings on the hilltop.
Tajlei is the director of the Wilburton's Wedding Department and Special Events. She was a Wilburton bride, and is also a playwright and theatre producer.
Melissa is the expert on family reunions, milestone celebrations and corporate retreats, as well as vacation home rentals. Melissa is a singer songwriter, and writes custom songs for joyous events.
Max enjoys recommending Vermont craft beer and mixing speciality cocktails. He has a PhD and is on the faculty at Dartmouth with a focus on conflict resolution.
