History
Wyoming is a Nationally Registered Historic Place located in Clinton in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Construction began in 1799 and was completed in sections through 1850. It was the traditional home of the Marbury Family who were given the land in the late 1690s by King George of England. The house was the seat of a large tobacco farm in the possession of the Marbury family until 1973, when it was bought by Gerard T. Dunphy, an English immigrant. Wyoming was registered with the National Registry of Historic Places in 1980. Ownership has changed over the years, but it now has the capacity to host wedding events.
