      There are two airports for out-of-town guests to use when flying into Orange County. The first is John Wayne Airport, which is about a 10-15 minute drive to wedding locations near the center of the county depending on traffic. This would be a great choice for out-of-town guests if your wedding venue is in the center of the county, closer to Irvine, or Huntington Beach. The second airport is Long Beach Airport. Like the name suggests, it's much closer to Long Beach. If your ceremony and reception venues are closer to Long Beach, you might encourage guests to use this airport instead. Though it only does domestic flights so if you've got international looking for a non-stop flight, John Wayne Airport is the way to go.

      Weather Considerations

      Orange County's weather is pretty temperate year round. With a semi-arid steppe climate from sitting between humid and desert climates, Orange County is a good place to host a wedding year round.

      The warm season lasts from the beginning of July to the beginning of October with daily high temperatures between 70 and 90 degrees. The hottest days are likely to be experienced in August. If you've booked an outdoor or open-air wedding venue, make sure you have a place for guests to get out of the heat and stay hydrated. There is very little chance of rain during this time.

      The cold season lasts from the end of November to the beginning of April with daily high temperatures below 68 degrees. The coldest days will like be experienced during the end of December. Open-air wedding venues are also still an option as long as there are heaters. Rain can be expected during the start of February.
