  Best band ever!!

  My husband and I LOVE live music and it was important to us to get a great band. A house on fire hit it out of the park!!!! They played everything from Fleetwood Mac, Etta James, Led Zepplin, Cher and so so much more!! They were incredibly talented and at points it felt like we were at a concert not a wedding! All of our guests couldn’t believe the talent! Would hire them in a heartbeat!! My only regret of the whole wedding is not having any video of the band!

  Awesome band!!!!

  Awesome band for a wedding!! We had the guitar for for ceremony, piano for cocktail hour, and 7 piece band for our reception. There was great communication with Hans and Patty prior to and day of - very responsive and answered all our questions! The music itself was amazing. They were even able to learn and play a special song for our father-daughter dance. The singers voices were incredible and whole band was super energetic and brought the fun! They had a diverse song selection and they was a little something for everyone! We were very happy with our experience and would highly recommend this band!

  Best band ever!

  A House On Fire is everything we wanted for our wedding. We wanted everyone dancing as long as possible and they had such high energy that our guests danced all night! Patty was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout the planning process. Our guests are still raving about the band!

  Hands down the best wedding band in Vermont!

  It doesn't get any better than A House on Fire! We saw them twice in 2018 and knew we had to book them for our 2022 wedding and booked them almost two years in advance! Hans made the booking a breeze, and Patty made sure the day-of went without a hitch. This included stepping in to provide a mic and tech services for the ceremony when our venue failed to provide this in a timely manner. She really went above and beyond!
  
  We had the full 8 piece band and the dance floor was packed the entire night! It was so special to see everyone from grandparents to toddlers coming together through music to celebrate with us. Thank you AHOF for adding the magic to the best night of lives!

  Amazing band that will keep everyone dancing!

  A House on Fire did a terrific job playing for our wedding! We wanted mostly Motown/soul and they an excellent job. They are a VERY talented group of musicians/vocalists. We had to work through a lot of logistics with them because the wedding was outside our house rather than at a venue and they were very clear and prompt with all the tricky logistical communication. They were also very accommodating about special requests. Would highly recommend!!

  So much fun and were amazing!

  Holy crap are we sooooo happy we hired A House on Fire!! My husband and I eloped in our living room during the pandemic. But we wanted to celebrate with our family and friends still. Once the vaccine was announced we started to plan a wedding celebration. That being said we never wanted to have a traditional wedding but lean more on the party and celebration side of things. We're in our mid 30's and have been to a ton of weddings at this point and knew we wanted to splurge on a band. Only problem non of us had been to a wedding in Vermont with a band and with covid we couldn't see any bands in person. We watched some videos on A House on Fire and decided to take the risk. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried in the months leading up to the wedding but I don't know what I was worried about. They were beyond what we expected and they helped us through the party of a lifetime. We had cardboard cutouts of Nicholas Cage and Danny DeVito (inside joke that all our friends and family know about) Extra large foam cowboy hats and foam light up sticks for our guests on the dance floor and man did the band have just as much fun. At some points the band put the foam hats on, and they also put the mic up to Nick or Danny and brought them up on stage. Everyone had a blast even family members that don't normally let loose. Heck even my 88 year old grandmother was out on the dance floor the entire time. She had to change into sneakers to keep up with them. The whole band was amazing and if you're questioning if you should go band or DJ the obvious choice is band but the even more obvious choice is A House on Fire. Communication was easy with Hans and once we got closer we were in talks with Patty and she was also amazing. We never met in person until the day of but she ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug once she saw me and the entire night I felt like we were close friends with them and they were there to just celebrate with the rest of us. It was the best decision hiring A House on Fire.

  Amazing energy!

  I cannot say enough how amazing A House On Fire is! When looking for a band for our wedding, we wanted music that all our guests could get down to. A House On Fire did just that! They had the dance floor filled the entire night and knew exactly what songs would get people excited. We chose to include a brass section, which we highly recommend doing if you are looking to elevate the experience even more. Everyone absolutely loved the energy that A House On Fire brought. We also had musicians from the band play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The pianist, Christopher, was especially helpful. He even learned 2 new songs specifically for our ceremony. Thank you for making our day so incredible. Truly a talented and dynamic group of musicians and singers!

  AHoF Keeps The Dance Floor ROCKING!

  Every time we’ve seen our friends and family who were at our wedding on 8/28/21 in Killington, the first thing they say is something like “That dance floor! Where did you find that band!?” A House on Fire absolutely rocked it. Nearly every person, from teenagers to grandparents, tore up the dance floor from start to finish because when the band is that good, you don’t have the option to sit down. Our dance floor was everything we imagined and more thanks to the energy that AHoF brought to the party. They read the room and played all of the classics that get people going. “Jessie’s Girl” became “Jeffrey’s Girl” for one of the last songs of the night and will never be the same for us.   Energetic!!

  We booked a live band based on the recommendation of our wedding planner. She specifically recommended this group. They were phenomenal and had people on the dance floor all night, to the point where guests did not actually want to leave!! They were amazing and very energetic.

  Knows how to get the party started!

  The best band we could have hired for our special day! It was really important to me that people danced all night and A House On Fire did not disappoint! Everyone was getting down on the dance floor the entire night. I barely left the dance floor! They really know how to get the party started and keep it going!

  Exceptional Band

  A House on Fire Band played at our wedding on 10/5/19 at the Barnard Inn. They were spectacular. We had the acoustic guitar play at our ceremony and piano and sax at the cocktail hour. The guitarist learned multiple pieces that we requested for the ceremony. When it came time for the band to play, it was amazing. We danced all night and I'm still getting compliments about the performance. Importantly, this is a real and authentic band that has played together for years and you can tell. Definitely one of the best decisions we made for the wedding.

  The BEST Wedding Band!

  When my husband and I went to look at our venue, the first thing they said to us was, "If you get married here, you need to book A House on Fire!" We are so happy we listened to them! AHOF was one of the highlights of our wedding, and made the night so much fun!
  
  Hans and AHOF were so great to work with from the beginning! They even went above and beyond and learned our favorite Irish song! All of our guests were dancing from the ages of 3 to 90. We even had to move tables to make more space on the dance floor! The range of songs they play is incredible, and Talking Heads was a crowd hit!
  
  The members of AHOF are incredibly talented and equally as friendly. We had so much fun with them, and give our highest recommendation!

  Fantastic band

  A House on Fire was the best money we spent for our wedding! The band was incredible - they sounded fantastic and played the perfect music to dance to all night. They helped us with AV stuff for our ceremony as well and were so accommodating and easy to work with. Would absolutely recommend them! We spent the whole night on the dance floor enjoying every moment of our wedding, and all of our guests commented on how great the band was too. They were even kind enough to let my crazy aunt get on stage and sing a song with them :)

  We booked House on Fire for our June wedding and we could not have been more pleased. The band was amazing and so personable and lively. There wasn't a second that the dance floor wasn't packed. Hans and his team was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!!

  Booked this band for our January 7, 2017 wedding in Lake Placid, NY and we have SO MANY good things to say! We are from Southern CT throwing a wedding in Upstate NY, so we had never heard the band in person. We booked based on the great reviews, some awesome videos/recordings, and their impressively long and varied song list. Hans (who heads things up) was extremely communicative and very receptive to our specific needs (very detailed song requests for what we were going to walk out to, cut the cake to, first dance/parent dances etc.). Everything went off without a hitch and they perfectly nailed doing a seamless mix of classic rock, top 40s, and more eclectic Phish/Grateful Dead/reggae (which is the stuff we’re into!). Everyone raved about how great they were and how unique and fun the music selection was (not your typical top 40 wedding stuff… which was EXACTLY what we were going for!). They also went way out of their way, not only by coming from Burlington, VT to Lake Placid, NY on a frigid, snowy day, but by bringing their acoustic drum set and by letting my husband’s band from back in the day do a few songs at the end. Plus, everyone was so nice, so enthusiastic, and clearly having a great time! Book them!

  I booked this band without hearing them play live and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our faith in the band was based on other reviews, the sounds clips they sent us from previous events, and our conversations with the man in charge. Despite being geographically challenged (Vermont band, NYC couple), Hans (the man in charge) made this process as stress free as possible. He was thoughtful not only to the type of music my fiancee and I enjoyed, but also the preferences of our parents and guests. EVERYONE was on the dance floor and I still receive compliments of how amazing our band was. They played all the right tunes and I am so grateful. Thanks so much to AHOF for helping to make our wedding memorable for all!

  A House on Fire was an amazing addition to our wedding. They are an awesome band that can play a wide variety of genres and really gets the crowd up and dancing. We danced the night away and if we had to change anything about our wedding it would be to have a bigger dance floor because no one could resist this band. We used "Best Bands" to book and they were really helpful. After booking with AHOF, we were able to give them song preferences including a "do not playlist" which they stuck to. Overall, a really great experience and made our wedding reception more fun than we could have imagined!

  A House on Fire (AHOF) is a band managed by "Best Bands". Many of our friends who have gotten married in the MA/VT/NH area had recommended using Best Bands to find our band. We were choosing between a few bands (using their song lists to decide) and ended up selecting AHOF after seeing them in person. We loved their musical talent, their ability to read and energize a crowd and we liked the idea that Hans (who runs Best Bands) was in AHOF. We were beyond pleased with their performance at our wedding. Many of our guests still bring up the band as a highlight when they reminisce about our wedding. We could not have asked for anything more from our wedding band.

  Kept the dance floor packed!

  A House on Fire Band is a truly amazing, talented group of musicians - we had listened to all of their recordings on their website and on YouTube in the lead up to the wedding, and they still blew us out of the water - and our guests - with how talented they are. They totally took our “favorite songs” list and ran with it, and put together a set list that kept the dance floor packed all night. We had a total blast, and our guests were raving about how amazing the band was! A great choice for our wedding.

  A House On Fire - Rocked Our Wedding!

  We had a great time with A House on Fire at our wedding! They played at our wedding ceremony, provided a speaker system for our cocktail hour, and they played at our wedding reception/party! They were fabulous and got our guests up and dancing and having a good time.

  Blew our expectations away!

  We originally chose A House on Fire because they were the only local band that played a style of music we liked. However, on the day of the event they blew us away with their performances and surprises by bringing our additional instruments, covering our specially requested songs perfectly, and keeping the crowd on the dance floor the entire night. All our guests loved them!
  
  They also did a great job with our ceremony acoustic accompaniment and cocktail hour jazz. The were responsive in email and reasonable with our requests.
  
  If you're looking for a local band in Vermont that can play it all I would highly recommend A House On Fire!
