  Great wedding photographer

  Amy is the best! She was recommended by a friend and she did our engagement and wedding photos. Amy was great at blending into the crowd at our wedding while still capturing beautiful moments. We highly recommend her for any photography needs.

  Awesome Photographer

  Amy was fantastic to work with! We did an engagement photo shoot and our wedding with her and loved the photos from both. Neither my husband nor I take many photos so she helped coach us and make us comfortable. She was flexible and captured the joy of the day for us!

  Wonderful Amy!

  Our wedding day had unexpected weather, but thanks to Amy, every moment was captured with beauty and grace. Despite the rain, Amy was prepared with back up locations for our wedding photo shoot, adapting to the changing weather conditions (rain, sun, and fog). Her communication was excellent throughout: always clear, prompt, and full of insightful ideas that enhanced our experience. Her patience and flexibility gave us great comfort and ease throughout the whole day.
  
  Amy's photos captured the essence of our day in a way that felt natural and customized to us. Giving her the freedom to express her creativity was the best decision we made; the results were nothing short of delightful surprises, reflecting our personalities and relationship.
  
  On a different occasion (our wedding reception with over 100 people), Amy not only captured the emotions of all of our guests, but also made every one of our guests feel comfortable while taking their pictures. We are eternally grateful for the memories she has preserved and highly recommend her to any couple seeking a photographer who can turn any situation with any group of people into a beautiful, lasting memory.

  Awesome experience!

  Amy was absolutely wonderful to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding day! She's reliable, organized, and thoughtful, and guided us through the photo sessions with a wonderfully calm demeanor. Her photos are gorgeous -- they really capture the love and affection between the subjects -- and we will cherish them always.

  10/10 Experience + Results

  We have used Amy twice now (engagement + wedding) and are more than pleased with our experience and photos. She is prompt and professional as well as creative with a high attention to detail. While having photos taken can feel unnatural for many, Amy gave us tips to keep us relaxed and create natural smiles and positioning. Additionally, my husband is a photographer and during the wedding shoot, he knew we would be pleased with our photos based on her attention to the light (he was also very jealous of her camera lens!). Having said that, he is also very pleased with our final photos. I think his confidence was the highest compliment I can pass on. Thank you Amy!

  My Wedding Bliss

  Amy was first very prompt with her response and helped me greatly with planning my vision for my wedding. Not only was she wonderful to work with, but she also worked very well with another photographer and a videographer that I hired. Her contract and flexibility made the process much less painful. Any questions that I had, she answered thoroughly. On my special day, all I had to do was show up and lean into the sunlight, Amy did the rest. I don't really like pictures, but she made me feel like a runway model. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a classy product that will be celebrated through many generations.

  Beautiful candid moments captured

  Amy captured the most beautiful candid moments of our wedding. She gave us great direction and had a positive attitude the entire time. Our schedule was running behind and she agreed to stay an extra half hour to capture the cake cutting which we really appreciated. Not to mention I was a classic Covid bride and had to reschedule with her THREE times, but I received nothing but positive words and support from her. She is a joy to work with, highly recommend.

  Fabulous Wedding Photographer!

  I cannot recommend Amy Carr highly enough as a professional wedding and event photographer. I have produced events professionally, so I have worked with many photographers over the years. Recently, when my stepbrother spontaneously decided to hold his wedding here in California while our family was gathered with virtually no lead time, he asked that I produce this event for him - which I was, of course, happy to do. I reached out to Amy, and she quoted us a fair price and was immediately accommodating and responsive. She showed up on time, was unobtrusive and calm in an pressured situation, as it was raining and we had to move the event indoors on the fly, with limited time to do so at the venue. Any remained calm and gently accommodating throughout all of this shuffling, and was warm and highly professional. She managed complex interpersonal dynamics and less than optimal lighting and setting conditions to produce absolutely lovely photographs that my family was thrilled to receive and will continue to cherish. What more could you ask of from any photographer, really?

  Fun, stress-free, amazing!

  Not only is Amy extremely talented as a photographer, but she also has a wonderful personality and positive, loving attitude. Our wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous, and she did such a wonderful job with organization and giving direction to get the best shots! Amy is truly the best!

  Amy did a terrific job as photographer for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. As we were busy getting ready for the ceremony, Amy kept us on task for the shoot we'd planned together while also making sure we (including family and friends) had fun taking photos. Throughout the rest of the day, she snapped all kinds of great candids (as we were hoping!) and staged some beautiful backdrops. We wanted a colorful event, and that really came across in the results. The album is gorgeous.

  Terrific work!

  We had a wonderful experience working with Amy. The photos came out better than we could have ever imagined. We chose to work with her because we didn't want to have a lot of stiff and boring looking wedding photos that could have been from anyone's wedding, we wanted fun, lively photos that really captured the joy of the moment. Amy did all of that and more. She's incredibly talented at directing groups to move in ways that make people look natural and spontaneous. We would absolutely work with Amy again.

  Amy was quick to communicate throughout the planning stages, and she was very professional the day of the wedding. She was also great at helping my wife and I feel less awkward taking the couples shots.   Amy is amazing!

  Amy was wonderful to work with! She was warm, patient, and kind. On wedding day our ring bearer was a little shy taking pictures with everyone and Amy took him under her wing and made him feel special. She has a beautiful way with children and turned what could have been a stressful situation for him into a fun and happy experience.
  Not to mention our pictures are out of this world beautiful!!! I am so over the moon for how they turned out. I would recommend her over and over again. Thank you Amy for capturing our love story!

  Recommend in a Heartbeat!

  Amy photographed my wedding this past December and I could tell from our first phone calls that she was going to be amazing to work with. She was thorough, more organized than anyone I know, attuned to cultural sensitivities, and incredibly passionate. She was also so kind and incredibly patient; my family and I felt that she genuinely cared about us and about making our day special.
  
  I was apprehensive about looking natural in photos, but Amy made me feel comfortable and accommodated all of my wishes for poses, locations, etc. She was flexible and worked tirelessly throughout the 8 hours of our wedding day to capture everything.
  
  To top it off, she was incredibly prompt with returning photos, and they did not disappoint. Her photos reflect the magic of the day and the artistry of her work. She really is masterful in her angles and her use of lighting and her selection of places to shoot. I was stunned. Seven months later, my family and I continue to be thankful that we had Amy there to document such a special day and I would wholeheartedly recommend her!

  Professional, technical, and a really cool person!

  Amy was a dream to work with! She was incredibly responsive leading up to the event and took several phone calls with me beforehand to discuss the logistics and the look and feel of what I was hoping for. She was friendly, outgoing and all of my guests loved her! Not to mention how great she was with my 3 year old nephew/ring bearer who did NOT want his photos taken! She was so sweet to take the time to get him comfortable with her and even let him take a few photos himself to get him warmed up to the camera.

  My wife and I were so blessed to have worked with Amy on one of the most important days of our lives! Amy prepped us with a "menu" of which shots we wanted and how much each package she was. It was very easy, and a great way to facilitate and plan when we would take photos; and considering how valuable wedding reception time is, this was a godsend. We signed our contract with her right away after we saw this. Amy was very receptive and communicative about our needs either through email or in emergency situations, by phone. During the ceremony and reception she was there at every important moment covering the wedding, but she was never obtrusive. It's almost like she was never really there but somehow captured all the important shots. We enjoyed her very appropriate documentary style. She also impressively avoided a meltdown with our ring bearer who wasn't cooperating during a shot. Everyone in the wedding party were shocked how fast she turned his face around to keep the photoshoot train moving. From candid shots to poses, Amy is the photographer you want.   Amy was perfect! She photographed my wedding day and I couldn't have asked for anyone better! She is so easy to work with and was very responsive to any communication prior to the big day. We just got our wedding pictures back and they are so beautiful, I can't stop looking at them! Her work really speaks for itself. She got all the candid shots we were hoping for and was very unobtrusive in doing it. I received compliments from many guests saying what a pleasure Amy was, she even trained my 3-year-old niece to take pictures on cue within 5 minutes of meeting her! I would highly recommend Amy for any pictures you may need, no matter the occasion!

She truly seemed to enjoy herself at the wedding, which made us and our guests feel so welcome and comfortable with her. She clearly has a passion for art and photography, and would do whatever it took to get that great shot! Her dedication came through in the final photos. Her turn-around for getting the photos back was extremely impressive, and she captured the day perfectly.
