  Lovely Experience

  It was such a lovely experience at Bernardo Winery and working with Terry. She was very patient and kind with us and answered all our questions. We had a very small wedding and intimate setting, and they worked with our budget. It was a perfect setting and night for our wedding. The staff was all so wonderful and accomodating as well. I couldn’t be happier!

  Perfect wedding venue!

  Bernardo has always been our favorite place to have some wine and great food now we can also say it was the perfect venue for our wedding. Bernardo feels like a hidden gem in San Diego, they have wine, food, wonderful shops and great gelato. If you’re planning a wedding you cannot go wrong with choosing them as your venue. They are so nice and helpful with all details. Their event planner Terry was completely amazing throughout all the planning.

  Rustic + Dreamy Wedding Venue

  Such a beautiful spot for a wedding! I'm the owner of Tayler Ashley Photography and I had the pleasure of shooting here. The staff is wonderful and the location is perfect. Beautiful vineyards and a super private spot for ceremony + reception. The barn is amazing!

  A wonderful staff and location for a wedding

  As with many couples in 2021 we were trying to figure out where to have our wedding after being engaged for over a year. We visited Bernardo Winery in April 2021 and immediately fell in love with Uncle Vito's Park. We loved how open the area was and that there were grape vines nearby. The winery itself is such a unique place and we loved that it has a rustic charm and history that fit us perfectly. We signed right away and Terry and her team were great to work with. We live in the Bay Area so planning a wedding in another city can be stressful, but Terry made things quite easy. She was responsive and helpful with great suggestions. We did meet her in person a few times when we visited San Diego and she always gave us her full attention and time. It was helpful that they have a preferred vendor list for food and DJ and other services. It just makes choosing vendors easier because they have done weddings at the winery before and they all have worked together. Our DJ, officiant, and Terry have done many weddings together so that worked in our favor. We even had our rehearsal lunch at the winery and Jason and the restaurant staff were awesome! They made sure the food was ready on time and everything was set up before we arrived. Everything flowed so smoothly the day of our wedding and it was the most perfect day that we'll never forget. We truly felt the vision we had set out to have for our wedding was fulfilled with having it at Bernardo Winery. We look forward to going back to visit a lot more to just enjoy the winery. Choosing the right vendors is key to having a great wedding and we couldn't have been happier with Bernardo Winery and the staff. Just great people that work hard!

  Highly recommend - we absolutely LOVE Bernardo Winery!

  Bernardo Winery was the perfect venue for my husband and I! The moment we stepped on the property we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. The Rosario Pavillon is gorgeous with its rustic outdoor charm and was the perfect size for our ~130 guest wedding. Terry was amazing helping us get everything set for our big day and ensured everything went smoothly and on schedule the day of! Bernardo Winery knows how to put on an unforgettable wedding, and we look forward to go back for date nights at their tasting room + restaurant to remember our amazing day - highly recommend!

  You NEED to have your wedding at the Bernardo Winery!

  We could not have found a more perfect wedding venue for our special day. The Bernardo Winery is a hidden gem in San Diego that is gorgeous, rustic and brings its own history which adds to the uniqueness of the venue. All of our guests are local to San Diego and everyone kept coming up to me throughout the night saying how pretty the venue is, that they want to come back to the winery to explore more & enjoy wine tastings with their friends. The venue is everything that my husband & I had wanted + more. When you book at the winery you also get the perk of their venue coordinator, Terry Lowrey.
  
  Terry is above and beyond fantastic. She brings a lot of experience for her new brides that feel lost in the planning process. She is patient with you, makes sure that your wedding goes as seamless as possible and is open to making things happen, the way you envisioned it. She is the reason that not one thing went wrong at our wedding. Terry catered to my special requests, made a point that whatever my vision for the day was that she would execute it and she also had many suggestions/ideas/answers when I was struggling to find solutions of my own. I highly recommend this venue and I highly recommend Terry Lowrey! Thank you for making my wedding everything I had ever hoped for.

  Terry and her team at the Bernardo Winery did a fantastic job. They made sure everything went off as planned. The setting at the winery is beautiful and Rosario's Pavillon is a perfect outdoor wedding venue. Would highly recommend this venue.

  We cannot say enough about how great Bernardo Winery treated us and our wedding. Everything turned out beautiful and way better than we could have ever dreamed. The staff was amazing and treated us like royalty! Definitely recommend them for your wedding needs!

  We had our wedding at Bernardo winery in June 2016 after visiting the winery and falling in love with the beautiful and quaint atmosphere. The venue had so much rustic detail and natural beauty that little effort was needed for decorating. Terry and the staff were so helpful throughout the whole process answering any questions promptly and thoroughly. She had great ideas to make our vision come to reality, down to fine details we hadn't considered. On the day of the wedding Terry and the staff's high level of professionalism made everything run smoothly and we couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. We definitely recommend Bernardo winery to anyone who is looking for a venue for their big event

  My husband and I live in Las Vegas, but with the natural beauty at Bernardo Winery, there was no doubt it was perfect for us! Terry was very responsive via email and she was accommodating to our schedules. She was always a phone call or email away if we had any questions. She shared venue maps, pictures, and ideas with us. We had a detailed call two weeks before the event to go over the specifics for the day that we envisioned. We loved that we were able to pick out the wines and local craft beers to be served at our wedding!
  
  We were able to decorate the venue at 9am. The space is a rustic blank canvas just perfect for all of our DIY stuff, and I loved the flexibility to bring in my own decor! Terry was incredible the day of our event! She managed the staging, making sure that I had everything I needed before the ceremony, and she ensured that we stayed on schedule during the reception. She was always nearby and was attentive to the needs of us and our guests.
  
  Our guests are still raving about what an amazing wedding and reception we had, and as expected, everyone fell in love with Bernardo Winery!
  
  The only bummer about the day (and we knew this going in) is that we wished it could have gone a little longer. A hard shut-down at 9pm was just too early. We could have danced and enjoyed the space all night long! But, we planned ahead of time to take the after-party over to our hotel where most of our guests were staying (the Rancho Bernardo Inn) and it worked out just fine!
  
  Thank you Terry for helping us put together the wedding day of our dreams! We would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic, outdoor wedding to head straight to Bernardo Winery, and tell Terry to take your money! :)

  We used Bernardo Winery for our July 2015 wedding and were so happy with our choice. The venue was beautiful, parking for our guests was easy, the staff was very helpful and responsive. We worked with Terry Lowrey at the venue for the planning and coordination of our event. She was very detailed and helped us through every step of the planning process. Her staff also provided coordination for our rehearsal and managed the details on the day of our wedding. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married. It made our day magical and stress free.

  We had my daughters wedding at Bernardo winery and it was truly amazing! We worked with Terri and Mehgan as coordinators and they were both delightful! We Choose Mark with Cake Entertainment to do the DJ ing and as our band- Mark was great and made it really fun! the venue is perfect for a Rustic Wedding. We used the heaters and everyone was quite comfortable. The venue has to close at 9pm since it is in a residential area so we brought the party to Rancho Bernardo Inn while others just went to bed and didn't feel guilty for not staying until the last minute.
  We use Abbey Catering and had Federico as our coordinator there. The food was amazing and for a pretty good price. We were pleased with everything about the wedding! .

  On May 17th, 2014 we had our wedding at the beautiful Bernardo Winery. The week leading up to the wedding was filled with fires breaking out all over the San Diego area and increasingly hot temperatures. Luckily the day of our wedding the weather was perfect and everything went as smooth as I could have hoped for. After a year and a half of planning the moment we saw the venue all set up it was all worth it. We had a lot of guests traveling from out of town and we are still getting compliments for how wonderful the venue was and how great it was to go from snow to beautiful sunny Bernardo Winery.
  
  Terry and her team were amazing the whole night, they made sure everything flowed and stayed connected with us throughout the wedding. I had so much fun, the food from Cafe Merlot was delicious, the drinks were cold and so perfect and everyone had a great time!
  
  The DJ (Jeremy Jones of Party People who is a preferred vendor at the winery) had everyone on the dance floor the entire night and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. My husband had the best day, which makes me so happy. I would recommend the Bernardo Winery, Cafe Merlot, Jeremy, and everyone on site that night to anyone looking to get married. No issues arose and if they did they were behind the scenes and well taken care of. It's just a really magical place and I can't wait to visit again.

  My husband and I were so impressed with this venue for our wedding. Terry, the wedding manager, was awesome and took care of pretty much everything. Major decorations are already there, and the outdoor area along with the barnlike patio is perfect for weddings of any size. We used Cafe Merlot as our caterers and they were equally awesome! Could not have wished for a better wedding. The only thing we wished we could have was another hour but since this is a residential area we know that it has to end at 9 pm.

  My husband and I were so impressed with this venue for our wedding. Terry, the wedding manager, was awesome and took care of pretty much everything.   Our wedding was magical.. Terry Lowery was the reason behind that. She took care of all of the day of issues, coordinated all her staff and the staff of Cafe Merlot, my DJ and officiant. She made se I was relaxed and able to concentrate on my guests and new husband. Truly couldn't have dreamed of a better location!!!

  We highly recommend having your wedding at the Bernardo Winery. Our event was so personal and fit us perfectly. We loved having our ceremony in Vito's Park!

  Beautiful venue, great on-site coordinator

  Terry was amazing to work with and made sure everything was smooth and perfect the day of the wedding. The venue was beautiful and perfect for pictures. Everyone commented what a great venue it was!

  Beautiful venue

  We just had our wedding at Bernardo Winery on 10/13/19. We fell in love with the beautiful spots along the venue for pictures, and the relaxed, rustic setting. We had a small intimate wedding in Rosarios which was perfect because we had plenty of room for all the kids at our event to play, and we also got the bridal suite included. Our initial preview pictures proved that we made a great choice!
  
  It is a bit restrictive on the caterers/DJ; but they have some different price points and we found vendors that worked for our vision and budget.
  
  Terry, the event coordinator for Bernardo Winery, took care of all the little things we needed on the day of and she kept things moving smoothly. She walks you through the entire process and knows the venue and vendors well.
  
  It was a beautiful day and our family and friends were incredibly complementary of their experience at Bernardo Winery.

  This Vineyard by far went out of its way to make our wedding day a most memorable one.They were very accommodating with what we wanted, as we had 43 people traveling from the East coast for our destination wedding. Terry the wedding coordinator made sure everthing was to our liking!

  We had our wedding and reception on the outdoor patio/pavilion and it was amazing! Terry and her staff were abundantly accommodating, kind, and excited to help us. We used the on-site Cafe Merlot for our catering and the service was unprecedented! We have significant food allergies in our family and every bit of them were accounted for. The site is beautiful, fun, family friendly, and has the winery feel without the long drive to Napa. We love that we can go back and visit anytime. The price was amazing too. We opted for a Sunday date to help with the availability and price. I wish we would have started our ceremony earlier so we could have enjoyed the venue longer. Other than that, it was perfection!

Annie worked hard with our caterer in our one meeting together (the caterer, her and myself) to ensure that they were also helping to provide a quality event. She also gave us several complimentary wine tastings so we could pick out the right wines for our event. Yum!
  
  It is gorgeous there and they are very flexible as we had a photo booth, a bounce house, dj with slide show...etc. The only bummer is that the events need to end by 9pm due to sound issues to the neighboring houses. Our ceremony was at St. Michael Catholic Church which made this a perfect reception site for being only two miles away.

From Terry our wedding coordinator to Toni @ Cafe Merlot on site, everyone exceeded my expectations. The venue is perfect - the village gives it a sense of small town all the while being smack town in the middle suburban homes. Terry helps with EVERYTHING. If you are organized and work closely with Terry, there is no need for a wedding planner (even if you are planning from across the country aka Virginia like I was). She is wonderful and accommodating. If you want a rustic and garden feel to your wedding, this is the venue for you.

They're price was reasonable and they have fantastic wines! Terry is invaluable on the big day. She put us at ease and helped everything to keep moving. And her services were included in the price! I was so happy with my choice!
