I reached out to Becky only two weeks before our wedding (which had been moved due to COVID) and she was incrediably responsive and flexible throughout the entire process. I was thrilled with the easy and friendliness during order, but the actual cake blew me away. The flavors were AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for an easier process or a more beautiful and tasty process. -

From the beginning she helped me see my vision! Not only did our wedding cake turn out beautiful, she did a Star Wars cake for my husband! I also have a food allergy and she was so accommodating! Added bonus: I could eat her strawberry cake every day for the rest of my life. -

We were thrilled with our wedding cake from Bit of Whimsy! Becky was great to work with, from emailing back and forth to getting samples and brought our vision for our cake design to life with absolutely stunning buttercream "painting." Delivery to our venue went smoothly. All our guests loved the cake! We would highly recommend Becky! -

Love Becky!
My husband and I initially met Becky at a wedding show in our hometown of Lexington, KY and we hit it off with her instantly. We tried several of her samples at the show and were blown away by the quality and taste of her cake.
We tested several other cake vendors, (Lexington is spoiled with the amount of incredible caterers and bakers!) but in the end we loved so much about what Becky offered as far as the taste of her cake went, her skill level with decorating and her kindness and ease of personality. I will say as a side note, my husband is incredibly picky when it comes to "fancy cakes" as he calls it, and often times doesn't like the texture or icing as much as that of a cheaper store bought cake...well, he loved our wedding cake so that should also tell you something!
Long story short, we loved our wedding cake and absolutely plan on asking Becky to make our anniversary cakes in the future going forward.

Bit of Whimsy
Perfect experience! She has done both mine and my sister’s weddings. My husband and I were able to taste test multiple flavors and she accommodated exactly what we had in mind! She even added sparkly lights within the floral arrangement draped over the cake that made it truly magical. My guests joked that the cake was the main event for the day. I would highly recommend choosing Bit of Whimsy for your wedding! -

Becky made both our wedding cake and grooms cake. The wedding cake looked beautiful with the flowers she arranged on it. It tasted just as good as it looked! The bourbon maple pecan flavor was a hit! She also a made a cake that replicated my husband’s Australian Shepperd. That was also a huge hit. It looked great and so much like him. Becky is super nice and easy to work with. Highly recommend! -

Fulfilled our Vision
When my fiancé and I met with Becky, I was pleasantly surprised with her methodology for tastings as compared to others that we had gone to. In advance she had us choose a couple flavors and icings that we were interested in, and then at the tasting she had nice bite sized pieces of each flavor and different icings so that we could mix and match everything. She gave us enough time to evaluate and talk about what we liked before pressing us further. We showed her what kind of cake interested us, and she did a mock up on her tablet. I could tell based off of the software that she used, her level of professionalism.
On top of her cakes and icings tasting great (there wasn't one we didn't like), her prices were very reasonable. Becky was always very responsive with any email that I sent her, and due to Covid she was flexible when some minor changes needed to be made.
The cake that she made us, was exactly as we envisioned it. It was absolutely perfect and tasted amazing!
I would highly recommend her for your wedding, and will honestly look into using her for anything where I need a professional cake. -

Bit of Whimsy did my wedding cake. Becky was wonderful to work with! We had a tasting and she drew out my wedding cake design in front of me. She even allowed me to make a last minute change. They were early on the day of the wedding and set the cake up perfectly. The cake was so delicious that the guests raved about it for months afterwards! -

Fantastic and Couldn’t Be Better
Our cake was amazing and I could not have asked for anything better! The ability to mix match flavors with filling is worth everything! We were able to fit our cake towards everyone without leaving people out! I loved it and will always come back for more! -

Beautiful cakes that taste even better!
If you want a delicious cake that is just as yummy as it is beautiful, look no further! We came to Becky with absolutely no ideas in mind, and we left with our bellies full and a perfect idea of what our wedding cake would be like! Becky designed our cake to fit our personalities, our wedding theme, and our budget! This was by far one of the best experiences of planning our wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend Bit of Whimsy to anyone! -

Becky and Bit of Whimsy Cakes exceeded my expectations.
Becky and Bit of Whimsy Cakes exceeded my expectations. Not only did the cakes look beautiful (yes the Grooms cake is a to-go B-Dubs box - fooled EVERYONE!), they tasted even better. Her shop in Richmond is adorable! The tasting was intimate and the flavors choices were delicious! I am still dreaming about the coconut cake with raspberry coconut filling. Thank you for being apart of my wedding day and for my beautifully delicious cake! -

Best Cake I've Ever Tasted
My husband and I (and our guests) could not stop raving about how incredible our wedding cake & special grooms cake were for our wedding day! We went with several different flavor combinations and multiple guests had to have a couple of slices since it was so tasty! Becky was so kind and helped us make my husband's special police officer grooms cake all that we hoped for. We highly recommend Bit of Whimsy and look forward to working with Becky again! -

Becky at Bit of Whimsy Cakes is everything we didn't know we needed in a cake designer. I went in with a basic idea of what we wanted in terms of flavor and design and what she gave us was far better than anything we could've imagined.
Not only were both of our cakes delicious, but the designs really "wow"ed us! Becky is easy to work with and really takes time to listen to your story and your desires for your day before offering up her delectable advice! -
