The setting on the very tip of Tilghman Island surrounded by water, spectacular sunrises and sunsets is incomparable to any other wedding site you are considering. Bob and Tracy are such a gracious hosts -when they say you have the place for the weekend, you really do. There are no times to be done or worried about when the hotel or wedding venue needs to shut things down. It fosters a sense of relaxed elegance and communing with nature that sets all the guests (and the wedding couple) into a feeling of being both far away and in the moment of the wedding. We had a wedding of close to 200 with a live band and there was so much additional space -you really can’t sense how spacious and spectacular (and private) the point is until you are there. If you are wondering or doubting or not sure, this is the place!!!! -

We had our wedding at Black Walnut Point Inn in June 2023, and it was absolutely perfect! The setting at BWPI provides such a serene and magical setting for a wedding. Being surrounded by water on 3 sides makes you feel like you’re in a beautiful dream and provides so many different backdrops for wedding related events and photographs. Though the weather was iffy, we lucked out with 2 days of insanely gorgeous sunsets that we got to enjoy with our friends and family. Bob and Tracey are so wonderful!! They’re fun and easy to be around, and they went above and beyond in helping with wedding related tasks. They were always on site and available to manage vendors and communicate with our families who stayed on site. During the planning process, they were always happy to answer questions, provide suggestions, and help us work with our vendors. During the whole wedding weekend, they worked tremendously hard to get everything set up and ready, and by the end of the wedding weekend they felt like family. Our wedding weekend with Bob and Tracy at Black Walnut Point Inn was something we will treasure forever, and we would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone (for a wedding or just a visit)! -

We had so so much fun with Bob & Tracy on our wedding weekend! The BWP Inn is so charming and the outdoor space is S T U N N I N G. All of our friends have the pics they took at sunset at our wedding as their profile pictures ha! Having easy to select vendors through them made our lives so much easier, they were present and helpful with whatever we needed throughout the day, taking care of everything before we even thought of things, and then they danced the night away with us! We just love them so much. You will not regret having your wedding weekend at BWPI! -

My fiance and I were looking at this as out venue for our wedding. The customer service and responsiveness to our questions was quick and friendly. This venue would have been a great choice if my fiance and I hadn't chosen to go with a destination wedding. -

We held our wedding at the Black Walnut Point Inn in September 2019. Bob and Tracy were outstanding to work with and all of the vendors they recommended were excellent. Their help with wedding planning and on the wedding day made the experience low stress and perfect. All of our guests commented on the beauty of the surroundings and our family that stayed at the Inn had an awesome time. Thanks to Bob and Tracy for helping making our wedding day PERFECT! Beyond Anything I Ever Imagined!
As a bride who never thought she’d never get married, I had no idea what I wanted in a wedding. Bob and Tracey along with my hard-working mom, did an amazing job what the little I gave them. It doesn’t take much to make Black Walnut an incredible wedding site. From the flowers to the 360 degree water views, you cannot go wrong. It gives you a home away from home feel with the ability to put your own style wherever you choose. Bob and Tracey have created such a special getaway and take care of their guests like family. -

Small beautiful wedding
Over the summer my now husband and I got married at the BWI. We had a beautiful weekend with the ability to have our closest family and friends staying with us. We had crabs Friday night in good Maryland fashion and then had wonderful day Saturday that began with Bob and Tracy making us a wonderful breakfast, we then relaxed in the hammocks and by the pool. As wedding time approached I was able to get ready with my closest friends upstairs in the house while my husband got ready in a cottage. The evening went off without a single problem, Bob and Tracy both made us feel at home and ever detail was covered. I am naturally very anxious but the weekend was coordinated so well that I was able to relax and just enjoy getting married. The scenery at the BWI is epic, water on 3 sides of the point and no other people in site. It truly was magical and I couldn't be more grateful for all of my venders for the work they put in! -

Best wedding venue ever!
I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Black walnut point is on the most gorgeous property. Bob and Tracey are the best hosts and super helpful setting things up and giving vendor recommendations. Our wedding was near perfect. The monsoons that hit Maryland in summer 2018 did not dampen the spirits of our guests. In fact, we got lucky with the weather. Bob and Tracy were great. We'll always appreciate their abilities to help pull off a great event and we look forward to going back to visit.Black Walnut Point Inn's reply:

Black Walnut Point Inn is a dream wedding venue. Despite the week long heavy rain up until the day of our outdoor wedding it was absolutely perfect. We can't say enough great things about Bob and Tracy. From ALWAYS being there to help with planning, setting everything up from decorations to vendors and calming a worried bride down.
As for the property and views for an outdoor wedding...WOW! Your surrounded by water. beautiful flowers, birds and trees. If your looking for a sunset wedding this is the place!
Our guests were blown away. I had so many compliments and people had a BLAST.
We love Black Walnut Point Inn for our wedding or anytime just to get away to visit, what feels like a little piece of heaven on earth. I would recommend to anyone.

Sarah Sent on 05/12/2018The Black Walnut Point Inn was an absolutely amazing venue. I am an out-of-town bride, and I was only able to visit the venue (and MD period) once in person before the week of the wedding! It is pretty stressful planning a wedding from across the country, and Bob and Tracy were super helpful in the planning process, vendor selection, and in answering all of my questions, no matter how random. The venue itself is beautiful, we had an amazing ceremony out on the lawn, and enjoyed a lovely sunset during our dinner reception. But Bob and Tracy are what make this place 5 stars; they are warm, welcoming, helpful, and treated us and all of our guests like family. They took photos of the whole weekend, which I did not at all expect and was amazing of them, and presented us with a DVD of them all when we left. I highly recommend the BWPI for an outdoor wedding venue, or even for just a weekend getaway!

Eboni Sent on 11/18/2017We had a wonderful experience with Bob and Tracy at the Black Walnut Point Inn. We had our wedding weekend there, with about 150 people and two events, one on Friday night and one on Saturday night. Bob and Tracy were amazing to work with from the beginning, responding quickly to my relentless emails and helping me troubleshoot things with vendors. Their advice was priceless and we had some much fun visiting the inn with our parents to do tastings and choosings, we knew we had made the right decision. The Friday night event had a few issues which did not affect our guests, but which I noticed, and Bob and Tracy took care of EVERYTHING before the wedding on Saturday, which was PERFECT in every way. They calmed me down and took care of our demanding families who were staying at the inn as well, which allowed us to kick back and enjoy ourselves. Our guests also enjoyed interacting with them and commented on how fun and helpful they were. There were a few items we wanted from our wedding that got misplaced, but they searched for them again and again during clean up and found a few of them, which was really above and beyond. The inn is truly a one of a kind venue and our guests were amazed by the natural beauty of the weddings backdrop. -
User2690045 Sent on 07/18/2016This was the perfect place for my small family wedding. We had a total of 15 people for our wedding. We wanted to spend the weekend with the people who mean the most to us and bring our families together. BWPI was awesome for this. We stayed from Thursday through Sunday and our guests loved it! Pool party, BBQ and then the wedding itself. Bob and Tracy are awesome and were so helpful when the weather got questionable. This location made for perfect pictures and lasting memories. I was so sad to leave! Can't wait to go back for another weekend!
