Belinda is truly a pleasure to work with and is one of the best planners in town! We've been able to witness first hand her in action of creating amazing experiences for her brides and always going above and beyond. Book Belinda now. She and her team are AMAZING. We live in Boston but got married in New Orleans, and being the slight-controlling-type-A person I am, I knew I had to hire someone to help out because there was no way I could do it all - even if I wanted to.
Belinda is your gal. She listened to all of our thoughts and proposed a venue (Maison Montegut) that was EXACTLY what we wanted. She connected us with the right people to do all the things we wanted for our wedding, had an amazing design proposal for us, and listened to any questions or concerns we might have had.
Belinda will truly treat you like you're the only bride you're working with - I would joke with her she was part therapist, part wedding planner (let's be honest - it's emotional and taxing in the best possible way, but still, it's a lot!). We signed up for the package that allowed us to work with her from beginning to end, and I am SO SO glad we did that instead of the final 6 weeks. There is NO way our wedding would have been the amazing night it was without her.
When we saw our venue after the ceremony and after the Second Line (when we could really look around!) it was magical - I have no words to accurately describe how she took what we wanted and turned Maison Montegut into an absolutely stunning courtyard. Not to mention they flipped the whole courtyard in about 30 minutes while we Second Lined! The whole place - courtyard and upstairs - was glowing. Everyone had such a good time, no detail was left unturned, and everything was so well executed. Belinda and her team go above and beyond to ensure your day is exactly what you want it to be.
If you want someone who knows what they're doing, has amazing relationships with people in the wedding biz, and does it all with a gracious smile - hire Belinda. Gretchen, her assistant, is also so sweet and made sure everything in my bridal suite went as it should - I promise you will not be disappointed with Blue Gardenia Events!!Book Belinda now. I cannot recommend Belinda from Blue Gardenia Events enough! First off we’re from Canada so planning a wedding, let alone a destination wedding is tricky business. From the first phone call all the way to the night of the wedding Belinda made sure that our vision came to life. Belinda was able to really listen to what we wanted, made suggestions when it was needed, got excited along with us as we threw out-of-the-box ideas and made dreams a possibility. Having a creative background, I was pleasantly surprised at how talented Belinda was visually and artistically. She really takes each wedding with great pride and enthusiasm and without asking made details that added just that extra touch. Thank you so much for those handmade dessert signs that mimicked mine!! It was a fun experience to brainstorm ideas about the look and feel of the venue and I completely trusted her judgment calls. Her vendor suggestions were on point as she rocked out a great team for us!
What is special about Belinda is that she is so personable and sweet! But at the same time, she is so well organized and on top of everything, which made planning for us back in Canada easy-peasy. Belinda even took me to all my makeup and hair trials and acted as a friend. Giving me suggestions and having a critical eye when it was called for. We began working with her as soon as we got engaged and there's no way we could have planned a wedding in New Orleans (we live in San Francisco) without her expertise and stellar organization. Belinda was an absolute dream to work with. We had her assist us with our month of planning for our destination wedding. She was responsive, helped us in the coming months, and met with us prior to our wedding whenever we were in town. She pulled details together that I made the day, even more special. Her charm and grace was beyond appreciated by us and our families. She knows what she is doing and managed myself and my now husband... which I know can be hard. I am a groom who used Belinda and her staff at Blue Gardenia for our March 26, 2016 wedding. I can't say enough positive things. She is ultra professional, ultra responsive, will go to bat for the couple with other vendors, works to meet your budget, is SUPER detail oriented, and VERY invested in making the event & your day as excellent as possible. She is pleasant, fun, available, creative, resourceful, and guides you through every step of the process. We did our event in the French Quarter, and it went off without a hitch. Great planning, great execution, very reasonably priced. 5 stars. Stop shopping around. I put several New Orleans wedding planners through a rigorous selection process including reviewing their resumes and websites, phone screenings, in-person interviews and reference checks in order to select my wedding planner; and I am so thrilled I chose Belinda. She is an extremely talented designer with an extreme attention to detail, and was able to turn my wedding vision into an unforgettable reality. I believe there are many talented wedding planners in New Orleans who are capable of doing that. What differentiates Belinda; however, is her undeniable passion for what she does and her unwavering commitment to you and your wedding. I honestly do not know how she is able to provide such a personal and attentive service to each of her wedding couples, because she truly makes you feel like your wedding is the only wedding she is currently planning (which I know is absolutely not the case).
Countless times Belinda went over and above my (very high) expectations in order to not only make my wedding day beautiful and seamless, but also to make the entire wedding planning process a fun, enjoyable, and exciting experience. I could go on-and-on about her exceptional skills and capabilities to plan, design, and execute, but what really stuck with me is how she makes you feel and the overall experience she gives to you. What we had planned was going to be great - what she delivered was nothing short of amazing. All the decor looked fantastic. Everything happened on schedule. Looking for a reliable wedding planner with fantastic taste and plenty of expertise? Look no further!! Belinda with Blue Gardenia events was all this and more for my wedding this fall. It would be an understatement to say that Belinda exceeded my expectations. She also offers customizable packages to fit just about any budget. Belinda helped with nearly aspect of organizing décor, creating a production schedule, confirming with vendors all while absorbing much of my stress the week of the wedding. Who knew there were so many details that went into wedding planning??! I certainly didn't anticipate much of the planning process when I said yes to my husband's proposal, but Blue Gardenia Events was one of the best choices I could have made in the initial stages of preparing for a wedding. I'd also venture to say that I'm a pretty low-key person that didn't have many expectations for my own wedding... Blue Gardenia Events made my modestly-budgeted wedding seem like a grand event! Even though my initial idea was to have a simple wedding, I quickly learned there was no such thing as "simply planning" a wedding no matter how small or big!
Belinda is also a joy to work with and has an easy-going yet assertive personality. She is incredibly professional and is also sensitive to each individual's needs. I did not even hesitate about hiring Blue Gardenia Events once I met Belinda!
I felt that Belinda really took the time to get to know me which allowed her to assist me in creating the most perfect wedding day (and week!) for me and my husband. I can't say enough positive things about Belinda. She made our wedding day so easy and, as a result, enjoyable. She worked out every detail beforehand so that we could just show up and have a good time. When it started raining, she immediately sprang into action and moved the entire bar inside in about 10 seconds flat. She is pleasant, prepared, hard-working, positive, and definitely willing to go the extra mile for her clients. Belinda was everything I could have EVER asked for in a wedding planner. Words will never be able to express my thankfulness for her! If I can do one thing in my wedding all over again, it would be picking Belinda as my wedding planner (besides marrying my husband ha!). Even my husband said, “Wow, Belinda totally brought this all together.”
Belinda was quick to respond to all of my emails and answer any questions. In all of our meetings, she brought up items that I had not yet thought of and already have my problems solved. She did behind the scenes work and talked with my vendors to finalize concerns/details without me even knowing. I had to keep remind myself that I was getting married because I was not worried about anything! During the planning, when vendors asked who my wedding planner was – each time I said Belinda they seemed to have a look of relief on their faces. All my vendors mentioned how amazing she was to work with and how thankful they were to be working with her again. She also worked within my budget to support me in achieving my dream wedding!
The day of our wedding, she was so calm and so put together. I literally did not worry about a thing. When I walked into my venue, my breath was literally taken away! Belinda had organized everything PERFECTLY!!! She made my vision come alive. Throughout the whole night, my bridesmaids and parents kept commenting on how on top of things she was and how prepared she was. One of my bridesmaids spilled wine on her dress and sure enough, Belinda had an emergency kit to help! Belinda is literally amazing! She is talented, dependable, authentic, classy, well connected, smart, and everything you could ever hope for in a wedding planner! I would recommend her to ALL of my friends! Belinda was such a blessing to my husband and I and I am so thankful for her! Belinda, with Blue Gardenia Events, went above and beyond our expectations of what a wedding planner does in all aspects of the wedding. She was always on top of things and was able to point out questions to ask that we would not have thought of. I work 80+ hours per week and needed a planner I could trust. She took my general vision and turned it into a reality. If you are looking for a wedding planner or even if you are NOT looking for one, you need to hire Belinda with Blue Gardenia events. Belinda made my life so much easier! She thought of things that I never would have thought of. All details were taken care of and nothing was left to chance. She dealt with all of the vendors on my wedding day so I didn't have to. She put together a wedding day schedule of events and made sure everyone knew where to go and when so that my wedding day was easy, fun and not stressful! Belinda was amazing!! From the beginning, when we met to talk about ideas for my wedding to the finishing touches of my wedding, Belinda's hands on approach was nothing but fantastic!!! She was so easy to work with, professional and very enthusiastic which i love!! Her attention to detail far exceeded my expectations and her personality is just great!! I am a restaurateur so I believe i started with the highest expectations & she far exceeded all of them!Belinda was amazing!!
