  Guests raved!

  Beatrix's baking is delightful. We loved tasting so many flavors, their delivery was seamless, and the baked goods were delicious. We were on a budget and loved that Blue House Bakeshop had options that worked well for our needs. We had about 95 guests and ordered 140 cupcakes in lemon and double chocolate flavors, we only had a few left over to enjoy the next morning ;) One guest shared they had 8, so be sure to order more than you need, people will go back for more!

  Incredible Desserts!!

  Beatrix at Blue House Bakeshop was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding! She worked with us to come up with custom flavors and options and hosted a tasting for us before our event. She was extremely professional and prompt with communications. She delivered our desserts to our venue and created the most beautiful display for our reception. Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and our guests were raving about how delicious all of the desserts were. We would definitely recommend Blue House Bakeshop for your wedding or special event!

  Everything was perfect!

  Blue House Bakeshop provided the wedding cake as well as chocolate covered strawberries, apple cider donuts, chocolate chip cookies, and blueberry hand pies for our wedding. The cake looked exactly the way I wanted it to. Everything was delicious! My mom said the chocolate chip cookies were the best she had ever tasted!
  I was very happy with the communication and set up. Im not from VT so we communicated totally online. Beatrix was very responsive.

  Work of art!

  Beatrix was wonderful to work with! The cake tasted amazing and looked unbelievable. Our guests couldn't believe how detailed the cake was (a view from the top of Mt Philo) - it was a work of art! The lemon poppyseed flavor was a hit and perfect for a summer wedding.

  Delicious, Gorgeous, No Leftovers!

  We hired Beatrix & Blue House Bakeshop for our wedding in June of 2023 and had the absolute BEST experience. If you're looking for a professional, flexible, talented baker for your next special event -- look no further. Beatrix not only made our wedding-cake dreams come true, but she also baked a variety of treats (cookies, cupcakes, brownies, fruit-tarts, etc.), in a variety of flavors (everything was so good we had a hard time deciding what to pick). She even provided gluten-free options for each! Everything was so delicious that even the gluten-snobs were eating the gluten-free treats to get a taste. By the end of our wedding the dessert table was picked dry, and (to our dismay) there were no leftovers to take home! Hire Blue House Bakeshop immediately. (Photos by Julia Luckett Photography).

  Most Amazing Wedding Desserts!

  Beatrix made our desserts for our wedding a few weekends ago and we were blown away! From our first tasting in the fall we fell in love with so many different desserts so knew we had to have them all at our wedding. We also wanted a small personal cake and cake for my 30th birthday the next day. We were having a slightly harry potter themed celebration and let Beatrix know. She knocked it out of the park, not only were the cakes beautiful but everyone kept coming up to us to say how delicious everything was! My husband and a lot of his family are gluten free so she was able to make everything gluten free for us and it was incredible. We also ended up moving our wedding date up a few months and she was so easy to work with and flexible with the changes. Highly highly recommend booking Blue House for any of your dessert needs!! We will be back for our next event.

  Perfect Dessert Bar Options!

  We are so glad that we were able to have Bluehouse Bakeshop contribute to both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception! We loved everything we sampled and Beatrix was great in helping us solidify our options for a dessert bar. Our guests were raving about each of the desserts (mini fruit tarts, chocolate truffles, lemon vanilla cupcakes, strawberry cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, and brown butter cookies) and not a single item was left by the end of the night - we had guests finding ways to take the desserts home with them to keep any from going to waste. The next time we are in need of a celebratory dessert, we will be sure to work with Beatrix!

  Working with Beatrix was a breeze! From the moment those cupcakes and homemade Oreos touched our lips, we knew we made the right decision. Her cupcakes are absolutely amazing and the homemade Oreos were a great addition to our dessert table. She even created a custom s'mores cupcake!   Great choice for our intimate wedding!

  Beatrix was great to work with! After our tasting we decided on a small semi-naked two tiered cake (cider cake + brown butter vanilla buttercream and vanilla cake + raspberry filling), some double chocolate cupcakes, and as favors we got the homemade Oreos to leave in our guests room. Everyone loved it!

  Gorgeous AND delicious

  We have now ordered two event cakes from Blue House and both times they completely exceeded our expectations! The cakes were not only totally gorgeous and delicious, but she has low/no lactose options, is super professional and easy to communicate with and flexible to boot. I can't recommend Beatrix highly enough!

  Beatrix is great!! She made cupcakes for my bridal shower and the cake for my wedding! Both were not only insanely delicious, but also beautiful to look at! Beatrix was kind, flexible, and easy to work with. Everyone asked where our cake was from! :) Highly recommend.

  Beatrix was super sweet and easy going to schedule a meeting, keep in touch by emails and delivering the deserts. She also developed a new s’mores desert for us. Definitely recommend her.

  The Most Perfect Wedding Cake

  We are so glad we went with Beatrix and Blue House Bakeshop. When my fiancé tasted the cake from the tasting (one day late) he was so obsessed he threatened regularly to drive 10 hours roundtrip to get more. We went with a semi-naked lemon cake and along with being so tasty, it may have been the most beautiful wedding cake I've ever seen. With all the commotion going on, I definitely stared at it at least 5 times (Also recommend Understory Farms for flowers). They were the only bakery I did a tasting with, because when you know, you know. She also made double chocolate cakes for a birthday surprise for one of my bridesmaids the next day that were delicous. As a bride, there are so many decision to make. This is an easy one

  Exceeded expectation

  We cannot be happier with the wedding cake and cupcakes Beatrix made for us! We ordered the maple walnut carrot cakes. Beatrix was able to incorporate our ideas, feedback, and gave us helpful suggestions with regard to the size, quantity, and style of the cakes. She delivered the exact cakes we wanted on our wedding day! Many of our guests came to us at and/or after the wedding, giving compliments on the cakes and asking where we got them! Thank you for adding extra sweetness to our special day, Blue House Bakeshop!

She was very personable and was able to talk with us about different ideas for the cake. We ended up ordering a ton of cupcakes to go with our cake so people had options for flavors. We thought we may have some leftovers, but they were so good there was none leftover after the wedding. The pricing was super reasonable for all of the desserts we good and the quality was amazing. People were still talking about the cake after the wedding. She even made the inside of the cake a camo patter to match our deer cake topper.

  Fabulous Cake, Fabulous Experience

  Bea created a stunning cake for my wedding. She was very professional and personable. She responded quickly to any questions. I ordered a 2 tiered carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. It is the best carrot cake I have ever had. My guests are still talking about the frosting, it was that good. I will be throwing a reception in the summer and will certainly be working with her again.

  Blue House Bakeshop exceeded our expectations! Working with Beatrix was so easy and she is so creative! The Carrot cake with maple frosting was the talk of the wedding and we could not have been happier! Thank you Blue House Bakeshop for making our wedding even better!

  Blue House Bake Shop provided cupcakes and 6 inch cakes for our wedding. Beatrix was so easy to work with! She was super responsive to my lengthy and detailed emails. She was also super accommodating when I asked her to set up the Dessert Bar the day of the wedding. She executed our vision perfectly and the cakes were so yummy - She even set a couple aside for us to enjoy later. Will definitely be contacting her for more desserts in the future!

  Blue House Bakeshop did an amazing job putting together our dessert spread for our wedding. They worked diligently with the other vendors, showed up on time, and put together a beautiful, and extremely tasty spread. We would highly recommend Beatrix for any occasion.

  Blue House Bakeshop did all the desserts for our Vermont wedding in June. We couldn't have been happier! From the beginning, working with Beatrix was easy, creative, and efficient. She was super responsive over email and we had a lovely tasting with her to decide on flavor pairings. Her tasting cakes are adorable!!! We went with a semi frosted wedding cake, multiple flavors of cupcakes and stuffed cookies, AND 3 birthday cakes (our wedding date happened to be a very big day in our family). Everything was stunning! I loved all of the details put into the presentation. There's so much to say about how beautiful and scrumptious the desserts were. Here are some highlights. The raspberry frosting had actual raspberries mixed into it and was a lovely pink color. The carrot cake and cream cheese frosting cupcakes had real maple sugar topping and little gold toothpick flags. The birthday cakes were gorgeous and the birthday guests were so surprised and felt extra special (one cake even had a gold drip). My favorite was our wedding cake! Beatrix included fern inspired designs in the frosting piping to create the sweetest whimsical feel accompanied by fresh berries and real flowers. It was incredible! The cake was so balanced (lemon layer and vanilla layer). Rich and dense with light and fresh flavors. We even brought a slice of wedding cake and cupcakes (the last 2) on our honeymoon! I highly recommend working with Blue House Bakeshop for wedding desserts (or any occasion). She really listened to our ideas/vision for our weddings, and brought the dream to life. Everything was better than I could have hoped for!

I had received quotes from a lot of different bakeries in the Burlington area, but Beatrix replied almost immediately and with friendly clear information. It was all so simple. She gave me a price, I sent her Pinterest pictures of cakes I liked, and my husband and I picked flavors (blind). They delivered to the venue and when we saw the cake we were blown away. It looked exactly like it had in my dreams. And I am still having people tell me how delicious it was. All around great experience.

  I never got to meet Beatrix personally because I planned the Vermont wedding from San Diego but she was incredibly responsive over email and super helpful designing the cake. We opted for mini cupcakes and a smaller coconut cake for the ceremonial cutting. Everything was delicious and the guests raved and couldn't decide which flavor was their favorite. Peanut mocha was the top of my list. Yum!
