  An Amazing Venue at Brookside Gardens

  Brookside Gardens was an amazing venue for our wedding. I had grown up going to Brookside Gardens and I knew it was an amazing place but they really outdid all of our expectations. As a venue, there are a myriad of amazing, beautiful places that you can choose from for your ceremony, cocktail, hour and reception. We chose Sakura Hill, the Fragrance Garden, and the South Terrace for our wedding and all three were fantastic. Brookside Gardens was very helpful with helping us decide where to hold each distinct event of our wedding and think through all the details. On the day of, the staff (especially Jennifer Bland) went above and beyond to help all of our vendors and our guests navigate the grounds. It was truly a fantastic venue with a fantastic staff!

  A beautiful park!

  We had our hybrid microwedding at Brookside Gardens, and it was absolutely lovely! The staff was supportive and flexible, willing to make accommodations for immunocompromised bridal party members, and helped us figure out wifi for the online component. Note: most of the park is a cell/wifi/5G dead zone, but there is an area next to the visitor center with good connectivity. We could not have asked for a more beautiful location! Thank you Brookside for helping to make our day so special.

  Price and Quality

  We loved working with Brookside Gardens! Everyone I know loves this place. Bonus is that Jennifer is so nice and easy to communicate with and she makes you feel supported. Guests loved the large windows in the auditorium (basically from ceiling to the floor). This space was perfect for our intimate wedding reception. The staff was very nice. Also, they offer a wedding planning presentation that I highly recommend before you start planning. We had the best wedding reception! I highly recommend Brookside Gardens!

  Gorgeous venue!!

  We were interested in booking a Montgomery County Parks venue due to the local resident pricing being so attractive, and booked tours at all three of them to start our venue search. Brookside was our second tour, and as we talked to each other on the way back to the car, we turned right back around into Jennifer's office and asked to book it on the spot! Jennifer was so helpful, responsive, and friendly throughout the process, answering questions periodically over the year-and-a-half between booking and wedding day (and was in the visitor's center most of the day/night on the day of to oversee everything), offering suggestions for all kinds of tiny details based on her years of experience with the venue (like where the sun would be in the sky during our ceremony and how to orient everything so we'd get the best lighting, and what would be in bloom that day-- super detailed!), and generally making us feel really good about our choice of venue. As for Brookside itself, it is GORGEOUS year-round (we had an October wedding), if you're having your event outdoors in the gardens as opposed to the indoor auditorium area you really don't even need to worry about decorating because it's just so beautiful! Brookside is the highest-priced of the three county parks venues, but the money you save on florals makes it worth it ;) There are some restrictions due to the nature of the gardens (no confetti/rice, no drones, etc), but this wasn't an issue for us at all.

  Brookside Gardens is the best kept hidden secret! This venue has so many amazing options to help couples create their ideal wedding. Jennifer at Brookside is so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire planning process - she is the best! I was blown away by how gorgeous and stunning my wedding was!   Perfect venue

  Jennifer was our primary point of contact, and she went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day went smoothly! She was super responsive to all our questions, and met with us a couple of times before the wedding so we knew what to expect. She also sent us sample floor plans and other vendors to work with!
  We were also able to set up a day prior to the wedding since no event was planned - this was super useful as we we were so busy the day of! She also let us keep the dance floor a day late so we wouldn't get charged for weekend delivery and pickup!
  
  Brookside itself is a beautiful garden, both indoors and outdoors and everything went great! Highly recommend!

  The Affordable Garden Wedding

  I got my rose garden wedding without breaking the bank! Brookside Gardens was one of the only affordable places within reasonable driving distance of DC that matched my vision of an elegant, outdoor all-in-one wedding and reception venue. The staff know how to run a wedding like clockwork - I think that's their main business, and they're very good at it. Planning and coordinating everything was a breeze with the help of their wedding guru Jennifer. On the day of everything magically came together with the help of Brookside's team. When I was left alone by the busy wedding party and family, nervously sitting by myself outside the hedges surrounding the aisle, the team members checked on me and gave me a thumbs up, which I remember and appreciate so, so much! The gardens are exquisite and the perfect background for photos. Our reception in the auditorium was lovely as well - all it took was a little uplighting and a dance floor to turn it into party central. Best of all - I can come back and visit any time I want to relive my wedding day. We love Brookside gardens, and we'll definitely be back next year to catch the blooms!

  The team at Brookside Gardens did a phenomenal job helping us arrange our winter wedding. We got married in the atrium at the visitors' center, which was lovely -- big enough for 100 while still feeling intimate. Brookside staff helped us create a beautiful night, with the option for all our guests to see their holiday Garden of Lights. The Brookside team worked well with our flower vendor and caterer, did a great job setting up tables and chairs, and were just so nice. It meant so much to us to be married in a beautiful public space (not a hotel, not an elite club) where we had the freedom to be ourselves, create new traditions and enjoy the outdoors.

  We had a small ceremony at the Tea House. They set up the chairs for us and blocked off the entrance during the time we rented to ensure no strangers wandered in. I even got to ride down to the Tea House on a golf cart in the 80 degree heat! Nora was very professional when we signed our contract and answered all our questions and concerns. Great place if you want to be in a nature setting. We didn't use decorations because we didn't want to take away from what nature offered. Everyone said we chose a great venue for the ceremony. I am glad we chose Brookside Gardens. We had difficulty finding a venue for 20 people or less that was scenic and cost efficient. Brookside was exactly what we wanted.

  Brookside Gardens is a wonderful place to have your wedding ceremony. We considered the quality of service, outstanding. We worked with Nora and Ivey and both provided wonderful service. Although not required by contract, the Gardens provided a rain site, if needed. Fortunately, we did not need it. We were able to talk with staff when we had questions and all were very responsive, professional and kind. We consider the cost to rent the site quite reasonable. We had to place a security deposit and the Gardens quickly returned the deposit without our asking.
  
  The Gardens are beautiful, unique, and will provide your guests with a wonderful place to relax before your wedding and for many visits afterward.

  We had our ceremony in the Fragrance Garden, and everything turned out better than we expected. The event staff was always helpful and responsive, from the time we came to see the site to the actual wedding day. When we arrived for the rehearsal and a wedding had been set up earlier than their contracted time, the staff did everything they could to make sure that we could still rehearse on time. When our chairs did not arrive on time for the ceremony, they called the vendor and helped to set up chairs, and the ceremony started right on time. Our guests were impressed with the venue, and we had the intimate garden wedding that we had imagined.

  My wedding ceremony was in the Fragrance Garden. It was a dream come true, and so beautiful. We had a champagne reception immediately following so guests could walk the gardens and enjoy the venue while pictures were being taken. The price was great and the staff very helpful with all of our questions and concerns the year leading up to the wedding. I loved it!

  Absolutely beautiful ceremony site!! We also had our reception in the hall there, which has a wall of all windows allowing you to see out to the gardens. It was exactly what I wanted!

  The wedding site was spectacular. We got married with nearly perfect weather in the Fragrance Garden which was fantastic. We then walked out to the Rose Garden for pictures. The roses were amazing and our guests loved. The reception was at the Visitor's Center and the staff worked really well with our caterers. We had three staffers that day who helped to cordon off our garden and get guests from the satellite lot to the ceremony and reception.

The gardens are part of a park, so another wedding party that showed up unexpectedly for pictures was asked to leave (the staff did so very quickly). Finally, you have to follow up with your questions. It is a public park and the staff has other duties, but everything came to together 100 percent.

  Just to let you and everyone know, the construction project is in the final stages, and will be done in the next 4 weeks. The new Parking Garden has 180 spaces, over 9000 new plants and trees, as well as two new tent sites, the Overlook and South Terrace.
  
  We are VERY excited about all the event possibilities, AND we have brand new Event Staff since last year that are dedicated to JUST EVENTS. We are party people, and guarantee we will everything in our power to make your special event truly unforgettable.

  I had my ceremony here at the Japanese tea house and worked with Ivy. I had the best experience with this team of people. I went back and forth with my dates and times and they kept me in the know as to what could work and what was best. They offered recommendations for rehearsal dinner places, photographers etc. On the day of there was so much rain and I was a stressed bride, but Ivy worked with me and my family and we got it all together. I would get married all over again at this venue and work with the same people. They were timely in returning information/receipts. Beautiful garden area no matter what area you choose!!

  Beautiful and Flexible

  Jennifer, Markus and the team at Brookside made our wedding day so special! There are a lot of rules and regulations to comply with, so make sure you have a good understanding of them before you book, but once your big day comes, they will ensure everything goes smoothly.

  This was such a beautiful location! We had the perfect day to have a wedding outside. It was so beautiful with all the flowers and the greenery! The guests really enjoyed the ceremony location! It was wonderful to have the ceremony and reception in one location. The reception was big and full of windows that was nice to see!! :) everything turned out really well. I think the only issues I had came down to the fact that they didn't post signs directing people like they said they would, they almost didn't want to golf cart me (the bride) down to the ceremony like they had said they would because "the cart is dirty", and although there were signs stating the areas were closed for an event and we were told they would keep people away, there were random people all over. They didn't interfere but it was a bit odd. But my guests had a great time, I had a great time, and I'm happy!

  Brookside Gardens is a beautiful establishment and incredibly affordable. We never had a single problem with scheduling the ceremony or the rehearsal, the area we rented was well prepared and blocked off from the public, and we always had a representative there during the ceremony, but he was out of sight and mind. The only hiccup was when we had a rehearsal, I had requested a representative to assist us and they never showed up. However, they let me use one of their classrooms for free to put on my dress, and they were always responsive when I called to ask questions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

  We LOVE Brookside Gardens! They have quite a few strict rules for events but their event planning team is really responsive to your questions and requests, and on the big day they really mobilize to do everything on their part to make the day a success! We really loved working with Nora.

  The people at Brookside are very nice! They make sure you don't buy too many hours and really work with you to help you get what you want. The place is absolutely beautiful. They change up the flowers, etc... so we laid out seating the week before the wedding and the next week we came back and there were a ton of new flowers which were beautiful but obstructed a lot of the views for the ceremony. Very convenient to also have the reception at the same venue. Nora and Maryanne are very nice!

We were married in the Fragrance Garden where the fountain added a special touch. The day of rehearsal, we actually couldn't find anyone until the very end but it worked out. On the actual wedding day, everything flowed so smoothly from the promptness in returning my calls answering all my questions to the man in the cart taking me down to the site so I didn't have to walk there.

  Beautiful grounds for brides on a budget

  I had a strict budget, determined to keep my wedding under 10k and Jennifer Bland was very helpful in helping us with our wedding venue. The prices and flexibility were amazing and the grounds are gorgeous. They even helped overweight/elderly family members get to the ceremony space in the golf cart which I greatly appreciated. The cons is that the coordinating part is very hands off, decor and wedding coordinating is up to you, but this is expected for the price. All things considered, I highly recommend them if you are a bride on a budget as our ceremony was beautiful in the woodland ceremony space.
