  Wonderful venue

  We had our wedding reception at the Camp Holiday Trails pavilion and had a wonderful time. The space was able to fit a dance floor, bar, buffet, and 140 guests throughout the evening. The surrounding area is beautiful, especially the trees and view around the fire pit (which was a huge hit with the less dancing-inclined guests!). The dining hall was also great, as our caterer was able to use the massive camp kitchen for prep, and the freezer was essential for storing our ice cream! Tina was also a delight to work with – she was quick to respond to any questions and was very accommodating in helping us work in camp visits outside of camper sessions. Overall, we were very happy with our choice of wedding venue.

  Fun Times at Camp

  We loved our experience at CHT. Our guests loved the atmosphere and we received compliments on the venue the entire weekend.

  Camp Holiday Trails was an amazing wedding venue for our April wedding. Tina quickly responded to any questions we had and made us feel very welcome from our first visit. We rented the camp for the entire weekend and enjoyed every minute of it.

  Loved having my wedding at such a beautiful and magical place! The venue gives lots of flexibility for a creative ceremony and reception. My guests had a blast staying in the cabins! It was a true wedding weekend experience for everyone

  CHT was a truly special and magical venue. We chose to rent out the camp for the entire weekend, which really helped as our wedding was a lot of DIY, and we also chose to stay at the camp for the weekend with our wedding party and some friends. The camp helped provide us with catering staff who were incredible (and as an ex-caterer myself, I have high standards!) Tina, the camp director, was very responsive and flexible, and so accommodating of our special requests. The Dining Hall was gorgeous for the reception, with the open rafters, and tons of windows and sliding doors to access the wrap-around balcony. At 170 guests, we fit just perfectly. There are several beautiful options for an outdoor ceremony around the camp, and the Pavilion at the top of the hill meant that we also had a good backup rain plan (which we didn't need, since we were blessed with 80 degrees and sunshine in late October!) Can't recommend CHT highly enough, it's definitely the best-kept secret for wedding venues in Charlottesville.
