I can not say enough good things about Rie. Not only did she make me feel confident and beautiful on my wedding day but she made me feel calm and taken care of. She is quick to respond to any questions I had and gave me great beauty advice leading up to the big day. I did a trial and she was able to take feedback and incorporate it into my perfect wedding day look. Her team also did my family and friends and was able to nail a variety of makeup looks from natural to smokey. Rie is a dream vendor! -

Rie is not only an extremely skilled and experienced makeup artist, she's also flexible, understanding, and so kind. Her energy was exactly what I needed on the day of my wedding, and she did an incredible job on the natural look that I had requested. I have never felt more beautiful, and as someone who doesn't wear a ton of makeup, I really appreciated that I still looked/felt like myself. Just better in ever way! -

I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day hair and make-up artist than Rie. The make up made me feel like myself but fancier, and I loved the sleek sophisticated up-do she created so much. She was a pro at incorporating feedback from the trial hair and make-up session. Rie is friendly and fun to get ready with. I felt so glamorous, and I'm thrilled looking at the pictures of how it all turned out! -

Rie was such a wonderful addition to our wedding crew. Hair and make-up was the aspect of being a bride that I was most nervous about -- I never do my hair and wear minimal make-up normally. Rie made me look just like myself for both our wedding ceremony and party (two different events/days) and she was a dream to work with. She was punctual, listened to everything I said, and made me feel so comfortable. She also arranged for another MUA to go to my mom and sisters' location and made sure we were all ready on time and looking our best. Truly could not have imagined a better person to work with for this key part of the wedding experience!! -

Rie Created My Dream Bridal Look
I chose to hire Rie to do my bridal hair and makeup because she was prompt to respond, professional, and I just got a good vibe from her. But there was no way I could have known what a personal bridal look she would create for me.
When it comes to makeup, I learned that Rie is very good at keeping YOU looking like YOU--not caked-on makeup and overdrawn lips where you look like a different person. Rather, I looked like my most beautiful self (although a me with more shimmery eyelids!) and she made great choices and adjustments based on what I liked.
Where she went above and beyond, though, was hairstyle. I sent her some wild braided styles as inspiration, and we had conversations about different braiding techniques I liked and she set about designing a custom complex braid for me. She combined elements from several different styles I sent her. I knew that I didn't want a veil or very much jewelry--I wanted my hair to be the main event.
When I looked in the mirror after my trial, my eyes filled with tears. She made something very special.
On the wedding day, Rie was both calm and calming. I felt at ease sitting for hours with her--she's lovely to be around. I felt so special and cared for. If you want someone who will listen to you closely and create a look that celebrates your individual beauty, choose Rie for your special day.

Our wedding reception venue cancelled on us a week before the wedding. Talk about stressful! Last minute, we had to scramble to find another place and when we did, the entire timeline of our wedding changed by about 5 hours. I let Rie know about all this craziness 5 days before the wedding. She was extremely understand, kind, and patient the entire time. She was even able to change around her schedule to accommodate ours without any hassle. I was so thankful I chose her!
Even on the wedding day, she was on time, pleasant, professional, and funny! She made sure I liked my hair and makeup and was always open to changing things to fit my preferences. She was a joy to work with. -

I am so lucky I found Rie!
Rie did my hair and makeup for my COVID wedding. I was looking for someone who could do both to reduce exposure and Rie was incredibly talented and very safe and responsible. I wanted a very natural look but had not been able to find someone who would do larger waves in my hair, but Rie got it exactly right! -

Rie is the first person I call for headshots, modeling and editorial shoots. She is an absolute delight as a person and has the ability to adapt rather quickly to the needs of the shoot. Her work is refined and efficient. Also, she knows exactly when to jump in and do quick fluffs and touch-ups while shooting!
