    Great people, Stunning Venue!

We had our wedding reception at the DCA on June 15th, and I can't say enough about the venue and how perfectly our wedding night went. In the beginning, we found and wrote to the venue through the Knot, and Laura, the Event Coordinator, promptly responded and invited us for a tour. Once we visited the mansion, it was like love at first sight. The mansion is so cozy and charming. It has a lovely garden which is beautifully designed from top to toe. Everything about the venue was so positive and appealing. All in all, the venue was the first and the last place that we had a visit, and we directly booked the mansion without hesitation, which was one of the best decisions we have ever made. In our wedding night, our guests fell in love with the venue as well. We are still hearing great comments from families and friends about how everything was so perfect about our wedding. We had our ceremony and the cocktail in the garden, and the reception in the McKitterick Room. Everybody enjoyed the garden while they were sipping their drinks on a nice summer night, followed by dinner in the McKitterick Room. Everything went so smooth and pleasant.
Beyond all, I would like to give a special thanks to Laura for her patience while I was bombarding her with questions. Until the wedding, my husband's and my work schedule were quite packed. Whenever I emailed her or requested for something, she was always nice and very responsive and never said no. Her help lifted a weight off our shoulders. Also, whenever we visited the DCA to plan the event, the Facilities Manager was so helpful as well. He kindly responded to what we have asked for. He greatly helped us make everything worry-free.
Great people, great place. Thanks so much again to the DCA for making our special night as what we totally hoped for.

DCA Meadowlands & Laura Boulton are spectacular

We got married last weekend at the DCA and Laura Boulton was our wedding planner. It was the wedding of our dreams!
The DCA house is beautiful, tastefully furnished, and private. The many rooms mean that the bridal suite, groom suite, ballroom, dining room, and separate sitting rooms are all in one place but also let your guests spread out.
The formal garden is a showstopper and doesn't need any extra decoration to make a stunning ceremony backdrop.
Our caterer thought the kitchen was extremely well equipped for a large wedding.
Laura Boulton, the events coordinator, was our wedding planner and we cannot recommend her enough. She is kind, organized, and very knowledgeable. I don't know how we would have pulled it off without her!
Finally, the DCA is so easy for guests to get to. It's a 5 min drive from the Darien train station, has tons of parking, and is near a number of large hotels in Norwalk.

We just had our wedding at the DCA and I can't say enough good things about it. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and charming, and the staff is incredible. We ended up hiring their Catered Events Coordinator, Laura Boulton, as our day-of wedding coordinator, and she was an absolute MVP, liaising between all our vendors. She was so hands on and kind and organized, it was just a pleasure. She worked so hard to make sure that our vision (a low-key, backyard BBQ vibe) was executed) was realized. Some things to know about the venue--there are large, park-like grounds, a bird sanctuary, and an inner courtyard/garden with lovely plantings; the main reception room is air conditioned; the bathrooms are cute, the caterer's kitchen is large, there's AMPLE parking, and the venue itself comes with a number of tables, chairs, plates, etc. It's an amazing value and kind of a ridiculously good value for what you get.

The DCA provided the perfect venue with a the homey feel that we were looking for. It's an old house with lots of rooms and a larger banquet hall. The grounds were perfect for our pictures.

We found the DCA through a caterer as we were looking for somewhere that had an English garden feel but could accommodate many more guests than other historical venues in Connecticut. I have to say this venue is absolutely beautiful, not only a short train ride from NYC (50mins), and nestled between the Merritt Parkway and I-95, it's also situated among some of the most beautiful properties.

What we loved about the DCA was it's complete customization, they provided chairs, tables, flatware, plates etc, we were able to bring in our own caterer, decorations, liquor, cake, DJ - the list goes on! Laura the events manager, and the whole DCA team were fantastic at responding to emails, questions and requests. We had more of a DIY wedding where we brought in a lot of our own homemade decorations, Laura made sure we had a room in the house to store everything over the weekend.

The venue itself is just beautiful! I would definitely recommend a spring wedding, everything was in full bloom for us! There were flowers everywhere we turned, as well as the photo opportunities that came with them! We had numerous comments from guests that their favorite part of the wedding was the cocktail hr in the garden. It truly was stunning! The house itself is also perfect for a wedding, it offers a contingency plan in case of bad weather and numerous rooms for guests to spread out. The bridal suite upstairs was one of my favorite rooms overlooking garden, it's surrounded by windows bringing in heaps of light for perfect "getting ready" shots. There are photo opportunities all over the property from the front lawn, to the secret garden on the side of the house - you're spoilt for choice!

I can't say enough positive things about the DCA, we're so glad we found it! I would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved the grounds and venue of the DCA. Found this on a whim after having to change venues unexpectedly, and ended up LOVING the DCA more than our original venue. We had a beautiful ceremony in the garden, and enjoyed all of the various areas of the house for cocktail hour, and our reception. Would recommend the DCA to any brides looking for a beautiful, historic venue.
