    Beyond Helpful

    I just booked my wedding & reception here and Courtney has made the process so easy to understand and to complete. She is extremely responsive and has answered my endless questions in entirety. I feel comfortable and in good hands here!

    11.09.19 Wedding

    So far this venue has been nothing short of amazing. Our wedding consultant Courtney is wonderful, energetic, and provides a list of preferred vendors to help ease the stress of planning. The pricing is affordable, especially with what you are getting when you book with Delta by Marriott. The new renovations are stunning and modern and I cannot wait them to host our wedding reception this upcoming year!

    Incredible to work with! Fabulous experience.

    Courtney and the team were so eager to help create the reception I had envisioned in my mind. Courtney was extremely diligent with follow-up and ensuring our plans were executed properly. All the staff helped to make this occasion enjoyable, memorable and full of love for myself and my new Husband.

    Kate is a pleasure to work with. She did a fantastic job organizing our event and seeing it through to every little detail that we asked for. Ruben and his culinary team met our culinary expectations without any hesitation. The entire staff at Hotel at Utica Centre went above and beyond for our wedding. It was exactly the day we dreamed of! I recommend them for any wedding or any party.

    My husband and I are so happy with this venue! The Radisson staff were amazing! We were able to have everything we wanted and the hotel worked great with our vendors. During the course of our wedding planning, the wedding coordinator changed but made sure everything was communicated to the new coordinator. We met with the staff several times for the planning. They were very flexible as my husband and I both work two jobs so we have very limited time. Our guests were able to book rooms at a very reasonable rate and the hotel was very clean/comfy. During the wedding, the staff did a great job managing the room. The food was great and the bartenders kept everyone happy! We are very thankful for our memorable wedding experience!

    Nicole was amazing to work with! Every detail of our day was perfect, and she was super helpful every step of the way. We loved that the Radisson offered separate spaces for the cocktail hour, reception, and after party but that it was all housed so conveniently together. We also loved that our guests could stay right upstairs. Every part of our reception was put together perfectly, right down to the perfectly lined up butter tablets on the table! We had an open bar and our guests never had a problem getting a drink, which earned bonus points in our book! Our decor was set up exactly as we wanted and the staff was incredibly professional throughout the entire event. I would highly recommend this venue!

    Our wedding was beautiful. Nicole really helped to make our day go by smoothly. We had a buffet and I was worried that dinner would go by slowly but it was quick and the food was wonderful. The staff at the Radisson was very accommodating. After the wedding we went to the bar and had our DJ move over there too. It was great to be able to keep the party going after the wedding had ended.

    The Radisson gave us an amazing wedding and really helped make an extremely stressful day so much more relaxed. I was thrilled when I walked in the ballroom and saw how they had set up all our decor; it was better than I had imagined it and I didn't have to do or worry about a thing. Nicole was amazing and so helpful to me. I planned the wedding from down in New York City, where my husband and I live, and had to do most of it with her via email, only meeting face to face maybe 4 times. That did not prevent her from doing a wonderful job to answer all my questions and accommodate every single request we had -- even the one to make sure the ceremony & reception rooms were kept at a very cool temperature throughout the night. She even stayed late into the night and made a point to ask me more than once if it was cool enough in there! She was also able to suggest places nearby for pictures and other things we needed to take care of. She was extremely professional to work with and the hotel staff did everything we could have asked and more. The food was delicious and the prices were extremely reasonable. Thank you to the Radisson for helping put together a wonderful wedding for us. I would recommend this venue to everyone looking for a CNY wedding location.

    The sales director Nicole was amazing to work with. She is relaxed and professional and did her best to accommodate. The servers were excellent and food was wonderful. Guests loved the buffet choices. We also had semi open bar where guests just had to pay for mixed drinks. It worked out fine. Can't say enough about the service and everyone had a wonderful time.

    We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our wedding reception held at the Radisson. Nicole Trificana was professional, attentive and responsive to our many needs and requests. She made sure that each and every detail was provided for us. Her and the entire team executed the event to be all that we expected and more. We didn't have to worry about a thing.

    It was a pleasure to work with a team that cared so much about ensuring we were happy and our guests were taken care of. I especially appreciated that they assisted with much of the set-up of the numerous items we dropped off a few days before. Melissa was on-site almost till the very end and even assisted with picking up that last few gifts. The staff was always right there when we needed them.

    The guestroom accommodations were also wonderful. The beds were fabulous and the rooms are modern and provided all the amenities our guests needed. We wished the rate was a bit lower, but overall, the rooms were worth the value.

    We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning and being able to see our friends and family in the morning in a comfortable and casual setting.

    We received numerous compliments even several months after our wedding. All of the staff at the hotel from the front desk, to housekeeping, management and banquet staff were great and exuded professionalism.

    We will always cherish all the fond memories the Radisson provided to us for our most special day!

    Could not have been more pleased with how our reception turned out. Everything we asked for was followed to a tee. The staff was superb, the food was delicious, and the whole venue was decorated beautiful. Amy their coordinator was absolutely excellent to work with and incredibly accomodating.

    They stopped at no expense to please us as guests, they tried very hard and succedded. I especially appreciated that they help set up all f our items and flowers and tables. Melissa was on-site almost till the very end and even assisted with picking up that last few gifts. they also helped clean up the mess. The staff was always right there when we needed them.

    Our reception was held at the RADISSON HOTEL here in Utica.( 315-266-1458 Nicole.Trificana@radisson.com ) They were great with us and did everything we asked down to decorating the table and putting the place cards out so we did not have to worry about them. The food was wonderful and 5 hours of the top shelf bar was great and worth the cost. All the guests loved the setting of the Grande ballroom and the way it was lit by the candelabras. Nicole Trificana is the person we worked with and all we had to do was give her out check And then drop the things off two days prior to the wedding. Everything was set out as we asked and it saved us from a lot of time needed to decorate. The Radisson also blocks off groups of rooms for the guests. We (the bride and groom) got ready at the Radisson before going to the church and they assisted us and our guests with every little need we had including a snack in our room (bridal suite) the night of our wedding as most of the time the couple does not have time to eat. We were very grateful with all her suggestions and the service was wonderful. We were told numerous times by our guests that, that it was the most elegant wedding they had ever been to and they still are talking abut it almost 2 months later. That is what you call a stellar endorsement!

    Our wedding was absolutely beautiful here. My only major complaint was that the staff threw away all of our flowers from the tables after the reception. It was inexcusable for the staff to dump our flowers.

    Beautiful but Stressful

    The food and the wait staff were exceptional (Lisette-I'm not sure of the spelling- was the absolute best)! The newly renovated space was beautiful. However, the planning/set up/hotel reservations were terrible. It took weeks to months to hear back from anyone in regards to planning the fine details until just a few weeks before the wedding (we lived over an hour away so it was difficult to stop in last minute). We booked our wedding over 18 months in advance. From the time we booked to the actual date of the wedding the hotel changed hands and underwent a huge remodel. We also went through 3 different wedding coordinators in that time. My bridal party and I planned on getting ready/taking pictures at the hotel. They knew we had a suite booked the night before and the night of the wedding. They tried to give us a much smaller room than the one that was originally set aside and shown to us.
    All-in-all, we had a great day in a beautiful space in the large ballroom (175 guests) with a delicious meal (buffet style) and after party in the front bar area. It was just chaotic getting to the finish line. I'm sure things have gotten better with time. I would enjoy going back for another event.

    Disaster, Stress, Headache

    I was extremely disappointed in Delta Hotels by Marriott in Utica for my hotel block for our wedding. Originally I was working with Courtney for the year up until the wedding. She was AMAZING. However, sometime in the late summer/early fall she disappeared (maybe a new job?) and there was someone else dealing with the weddings and catering. This is when things started to go downhill. Delta suddenly became unresponsive to my emails/calls, or giving me incorrect information. For example: I was originally told I had 37 hotel blocks booked. I purchased supplies for the hotel bags and Uber vouchers for this amount of blocks. I then verified the next week just to be sure, and was told " I don't know who told you 37, you only have 12 hotel blocks." I wasted money on purchasing x3 the amount of supplies than I needed to that I will never get back.

    On the weekend of the wedding, a huge issue we had were the hotel bags. We were told it would be no problem to give them to the hotel desk clerk and they would hand them out upon check in. I had 7 rooms check in the first day (Thursday) and only ONE received their bag. I called later at night explaining that I was unhappy about this but they assured me it would not happen for the rest of the weekend because the woman working the front desk said she would send an email to her supervisor advising them of this mishap. Not sure if she actually did this or just told me she was doing this to ease my mind. The woman working the front desk asked that I have one of my guests come down and get bags to hand out to the guests who had already checked in because the woman at the desk was too busy to do it...? Anyway, my cousin agreed to do this but had no idea where anyone's room was. I had to message everyone who checked in to ask for their room numbers, so I could give it to my cousin. Keep in mind this is the night before our rehearsal dinner and I was already freaking out enough as it was.

    The rest of the hotel bags were never given out for the remainder of the check-in's that weekend. I asked the guests of the hotel block if they ever received the bags and they said no. I still have no idea what happened to them. The reason it bothered me so much is we had an Uber voucher in the bags which was how I was getting my hotel guests to the ceremony. The guests in the block that did not receive their bag (basically everyone who checked in after Thursday) all had to drive because of this and which makes me look bad. I'm sure they wanted to have fun without worrying about driving.

    I also had the information for breakfast in the bags too. Therefore, a good amount of people that I anticipated coming to breakfast did not show up and so we ended up planning for many more guests that we actually had. We left to find hotel guests eating in the common area despite us having a free breakfast buffet in the other room, because they had no idea that we were having a breakfast. What a great send off to the people who travel from all over the country and Europe to be with us on our wedding weekend...

    I also believe I was placed in the incorrect room type. I booked at 1 Bedroom Suite, 1 King, Sofa bed. I know the website says that the pictures may not always correspond to the actual room, but the small details, such as 2 phones and 2 TV's did not match the actual room I was in either. It literally looked like a standard hotel room. The groom's brother was in the hotel room next to us. When we went in this room, it was the exact same layout. I asked him what type of room he booked, he said "1 King, Sofa bed" room.

    I emailed the hotel shortly after the wedding weekend with these concerns. I was told that they would relay the information to a supervisor but that was the last I heard from them. I feel the need to share my experience so that other brides can be aware of this if they choose to book hotel blocks with Delta.
