Christiana Sent on 11/22/2018Incredible Winter Wonderland Pictures, Incredible Value, Incredible professionalism and turnaround time
Emily traveled from NC to Vermont to photograph my wedding and I cannot explain how incredibly pleased I am with the whole experience! EVERYONE even 11 months later are always gushing over how incredibly beautiful and magical the pictures are.
She worked with a reasonable budget, got the finished pictures to me in impeccable time, and was a delight to work and communicate with through the whole process. Even her husband was helpful at the wedding since her adorable little family made the trip up.
I would recommend her to anyone WITHOUT HESITATION. She has an absolutely incredible eye for a photo, she stayed out of our way and wasn’t a distraction during the ceremony yet managed to get the PERFECT shots. I have an M.F.A. in film, and run an artistic business. My standards for pictures are incredibly high. She absolutely made me happy and I will treasure these pictures forever.

Emily and I were friends, so I hired her to shoot our micro wedding in October of 2020. We scheduled our whole wedding ceremony around golden hour to get the best couple’s portraits possible, which meant the ceremony needed to start at a certain time. She was half an hour late to our ceremony, which means we had to wait on her to get married AND we lost half an hour of pictures because the sun had set. My parents were furious, but I decided to give her a second chance for our big ceremony because the pictures we did get were so beautiful. So, we booked her for our big ceremony that was supposed to be in January. We ended up canceling the January ceremony because of COVID, so I texted her to let her know in December and three days later after I sent another text asking if my message went through she replied that she had no problem rescheduling when we were ready. I texted her a couple days later to ask if we could go ahead and use the date in January as a “just married” photo shoot since she already had it marked off, and no reply. I texted her again in March (3 months later) to ask what her schedule looked like for April of 2021, four days later and after my mom had texted her telling her that we were going to hire someone else and wanted a refund, she finally replied with some excuses as to why she hadn’t responded. I politely told her that I didn’t feel comfortable with her as our photographer now and that I had found someone new. She replied very rudely with many excuses again as to why she couldn’t respond in a timely manner. She texted my mom back and told her that we could have the second payment back but not the retainer. Okay, fine. But we have received nothing. Now I and my mom both have texted, I sent a letter through certified mail, and I sent an email to her about the money that she owes us. If nothing is resolved soon, we will be seeking legal action.
Extremely unprofessional and does not take responsibility for her mistakes. -

We hired Emily for our October 2020 wedding, I reached out months in advance to try to discuss with her our options because we were considering postponing or cancelling due to covid and I wanted to know our options with her. As a photographer myself, the photos are one of the most important things to me and I wanted to get a plan in place with her before we made a final decision with other vendors. I emailed her multiple times, multiple months in advance, with absolutely no response until the email I sent days before our wedding was supposed to take place in which I asked for a refund due to her breach in contract / Force majeure. Our contract states that if the photographer was unable / will not perform services that we will be notified immediately (which didn’t happen) and that we will be issued a refund based on services rendered.. which was none. There was also a state mandate in place due to covid which did not allow us to go through with our wedding in October 2020. When I finally received a response from her, the emails were extremely rude and lacked even the smallest amount of empathy. I was told by her that it was my choice to cancel due to covid, not a state mandate and she knows plenty of people not letting covid ruin their wedding despite some people not being able to attend (in my previous email I expressed that I was upset/concerned about our grandparents who we wanted to attend and most likely wouldn’t, for safety of their health). Overall the lack of professionalism she has displayed is shocking and disappointing. We had paid her in full for our wedding day and have yet to receive a single dime back for a refund as she’s continued to ignore my emails. We had our attorney mail a certified letter in which she has also chosen to ignore. She has thousands of dollars from us without photographing a single thing. I most definitely would NOT recommend her as you’ll most likely get scammed out of money like we did. -

Nigel S. Sent on 03/23/2021Failed to Produce Service - Seeking Legal Action
My wife worked with Emily leading up to our wedding and everything was great. She was paid in FULL as outlined in the contract. The wedding was on 10/10/20. She showed up and everything seemed to go as it should. Within two weeks we were to receive a video preview and we did not, which was fine as we understand life happens. We got to the holiday season and my wife followed and she said it all of our footage was nearly complete. That was great news as we were not too worried about the delay. A few weeks later we follow up again and have done so many many times now since and receive no response. She is ignoring all communication via email and phone. We sent a demand letter via certified mail in mid-March requesting the services we agreed to or our money back. Her husband signed for the letter and we have heard nothing as of 3/23/21 so we will be fling a civil suit against her this week. I would not give her a dime because she may ghost you and take your $2,500.
