We said “I Do” with Emily! She was a bride and groom’s dream on our wedding day at the Bronx Zoo. Her knowledge of the venue and relations with the staff made for a seamless timeline. One of her many unspoken skills are her decorating abilities. Emily brought to life our vision of bud vase centerpieces and candle decor around the reception hall while being resourceful and repurposing our decor throughout the night. Her empathy, genuineness and professionalism is what let us know she was the one, but it was even more so her energy day of that made for an stress-free day!

Two Englishmen in New York!
Emily was a star from the first time we reached out for a wedding planner in NYC. Based in England we knew we wanted to be married in NY but did not have a clue where to start! We Zoomed and emailed and although we had never met we trusted our gut feelings and these proved 100% right - Emily was brilliant with advice and professionalism. She met us on the first morning to escort us to City Hall to arrange the licence and then almost acted as a tour guide - above and beyond. Everything ran perfectly and for the ceremony in the Ladies Pavillion in Central Park and we cannot praise her enough. If you are considering a wedding planner, speak with Emily. My fiancé (now husband!) and I had done a bulk of the wedding planning ourselves, but with a month to go, quickly ran into all the last minute logistical hurdles and questions. We were very stressed. We found Emily on Wedding Wire, and were saved. In our first encounter, I could tell that she had it, and I could trust her to take us all the rest of the way. Since we had done a good deal of planning ourselves, I appreciated that Emily offered an "a la carte" aspect to her services and pricing. She was quick to understand our needs, and offer her experience and presence to make a plan to make the day happen. I cannot tell you what a difference it made to feel all that tension and thinking "how are we ever going to do this, or do that?" and then have a conversation with Emily and for both my husband and I to say, "Ok I feel 1000% better now." So calming; she was on it. In addition to all the coordinating with our vendors and decorating the venue, Emily, of course, helped as a day of coordinator. She worked so so well with our vendors...and with our families! She was always punctual and reliably communicative and responsive. Honestly, I wished we hired her sooner. Jessie Sent on 02/12/2014I cannot begin to describe how helpful Emily Lester was in preparation for our wedding! Along with being an amazing bargainer, endless source of ideas, connection to great venders, etc., she was always so supportive and enthusiastic. That was so helpful and we always felt really taken care of in every way!
We had a potential crisis with our officiant, and Emily went through with becoming an ordained minister (as she has planned, but Very quickly - just in case we needed her!!!) That was really above and beyond!
In the end, the wedding went so smoothly and was the perfect weekend! We had the best time of our lives and all of our guests have been raving about what great times they had as well! I would recommend her to anyone for every type of event.EM Event Management's reply:

Siming Sent on 05/13/2018Emily was a GOD SEND to us! She made our day so special and seamless. She went above and beyond in every way so we were able to actually enjoy our day. She knew and understood our vision and made it happen! She's super flexible and amazing to work with, she even drove our car back to the hotel!! Thank god she was there to keep me calm when we realized the bustle on my dress was broken! I would recommend Emily hands down, any day!

She is kind, knowledgeable, organized and detail oriented. I truly enjoyed working with Emily from the start. She brings much experience. Working with her was great. She remains calm in all situations and made me feel at all times like everything was under control. Thanks to Emily, I enjoy every minute of my wedding day from start to finish never once worrying about anything. Using her services was the best decision I made.

User1778976 Sent on 08/24/2014How do you have a perfect Manhattan wedding? Hire Emily Lester at Event Management. She was the event planner for my daughter's destination wedding in NYC and it was an incredible event. As the mother of the bride, after I the first time I met her I knew I could trust her, take a back seat, and not worry about a thing. She inspired confidence immediately. And she didn't let us down in any way. She tirelessly took my daughter and her fiance around to see different venues, asking questions, offering suggestion of how the evening might look in each setting, and making comparisons all the while. After they finally decided on a location, she set up appointments for the bride and groom-to- be to meet with a DJ, photographer, and florist. She clued my daughter in as to when it was time to take care of various tasks. If my daughter was stressed, she called Emily and with a single phone call, all the stress was gone. She instilled confidence in all of us that the event was being taken care of and most importantly, that we could sit back and enjoy the wedding. I think that was the best part for me. I wasn't running around worrying about this and that; but actually got to take it all in and enjoy my daughter's wedding weekend. If you're going to get married in NYC, there is no better choice than Emily Lester. -
User1217782 Sent on 06/27/2013We're from Australia and had a destination wedding in New York. The thought of planning a wedding overseas was quite daunting but Emily made everything so easy for us. She did everything from booking reputable suppliers to running the show on the big day, and all at a VERY reasonable price!
