I cannot say enough good things about Armando, Susan and their team at Encore!! They are incredible and so kind and fun and easy to work with. The band made my daughter's wedding!! It was absolutely perfect!! Their artists are so so talented! They provided all of the music for the entire wedding, from the strings for the ceremony to a fabulous rock violinist for the cocktail hour and a 10 piece band for the reception with phenomenal singers and dancers and a DJ/percussionist light show for the afterparty! it was absolutely incredible and so so fun! They even provided the photo booth.The band made the wedding and everyone is still taking about how great the music was. Everyone danced - the dancers and singers interacted with all of our guests and Armando was there the whole way making sure everything was perfect. They were incredibly flexible and thoughtful and kind- working with us on last minute changes due to having the wedding in the year of Covid and still staying on our budget. Many of our guests were from Dallas and Atlanta and all said Encore was the best band they had ever heard and would fly them to Dallas for their wedding. A huge thank you to Armando and Encore- the best band ever!! -

The did not deliver on lighting and DJ package. I felt like they baited me with a video example of what I would get, but didn’t get that at all.
We were really disappointed with the DJ and lighting on our wedding Saturday. There was no enhanced lighting. There was no GOBO with our names lit up. There were cables everywhere, sloppy set up, tape on the DJ’s laptop. The lighting was on the floor. The DJ was rude and wouldn’t play songs that we asked for. He didn’t announce us at all, he messed up our first dance ( started it too soon) , he didn’t mention my dad in the father daughter dance. He didn’t play our playlist and played too many songs from the do not play list. I actually had guests complain about the music. This was the part of the night that was supposed to step up the energy and fun. We like hip hop, funk, disco, and EDM. Instead, it fizzled the night out and everyone left early. I wish I would have just stay on the patio for the dinner and never had the ballroom at all. It was not what was promised. Also, there was a random guy playing a strange tambourine-like instrument during our father daughter dance, which was a country song. It was out of place and I didn’t ask for it. We specifically said no live music during the after party / reception. They had cowbells playing to the Shrek theme song! One of my guests called it “musical absurdity”. We paid over 11K and not satisfied. I wish I just plugged in my Spotify playlist. Armando and Encore Event Entertainment ruined my wedding reception.ENCORE EVENT ENTERTAINMENT's reply:
Jennifer and Brandon, I hear you and understand that you are very unhappy with the services we provided. I addition to your 1 star review, I see that you also sent me an email with screen shots showing examples of a DJ setup we had from a previous event. This did help me understand why you feel baited or dissatisfied with not getting the an exact setup. We have been in the business of creating amazing event experiences for our clients for several decades now and really take this to heart. I will be sharing this correspondence with our entire team to see where we did not deliver to your expectations or meet your standard. We have never had a client so unhappy with the services we provided and I am here to take full responsibility for my team.
For your ceremony, we provided a cello/piano duo that played your requested music followed by a Solo Guitarist for Cocktails and Dinner. When I spoke to you during the dinner at your wedding, you gave me a hug, thanked me and told me that you were so happy with the music. I want to be clear on where we did not perform for you. This leaves us then with the DJ entertainment and lighting in the ballroom.
I see on my notes that you mentioned you wanted it the ballroom to be transformed with enhanced lighting and feel more like a club. The ballroom we were in was a small, intimate room that we lit up with moving head lights, room accented uplights and more than a dozen light fixtures to enhance the DJ and dance floor. I wish I could share pictures with you here of our setup on that night. Once again, I understand the expectation you had with video screen shots that show our DJ with a large light package in a large ballroom. We did pair our lighting setup to the size of the small ballroom room we were in to fit with the space we were given.
Please understand that I will always take full responsibility for my team and genuinely want you to feel that we take your review seriously. In all honesty, I feel caught off guard by your 1 star review and will be contacting you personally when it’s convenient in addition to this response. I was there personally at your wedding and we always do, took lots of photo and video. I did not expect this 1 star review and as aI look at my photos, I only see you dancing with all your guests throughout the night. You mentioned that the DJ was rude to you, and would not play any of the music you requested. I was there in the room and did not see any of this. In fact, I made sure he played off your playlist once your wedding party was in the room and the dancing began. You sent us a playlist and that’s what I made sure he used as your guests were on the dance floor. I see your comment about the musician we paired with the DJ. We did not have a random guy playing maracas. He played keyboard, vocal talk box and percussion all night as we always add a live element with our DJ.
Based on what I am hearing from you in your email and review, it seems that this was a communication issue that could have been handled during our meetings leading up to your wedding day. We have hundreds of videos with our DJ and Lighting setups and we always design a setup based on the room we are in, the power we have access to and of course the budget parameters given to create a show. This is not just our business, but our passion, and I feel deeply regretful that you are not happy with our services. Once again, we will take full responsibility for not meeting your expectations. I look forward to an opportunity to speak with you personally when you are available to help resolve this matter with you. -
