  Wedding photos to last a lifetime

  William at ExtremePhoto is a truly incredible wedding photographer. He recently shot our wedding weekend, from set-up, to getting ready, to the big day and some extra shots the day after. William was attentive, understood our vision, provided a plethora of shots that were candid (the bride getting out of the car, the wedding family laughing and talking, etc), was sure to get an equal amount of photos for both the bride's and the groom's families, and was also thoughtful and communicated with us on better poses and movements to make during the shoots. William took over 600 photos giving us not only many photos to choose from but also providing us with physical copies, an album, and one enlarged 11 x 14 photo. Most importantly, William was kind, personable, funny, and truly listened to our vision as a couple, allowing us to take photos in multiple different locations across the city--without complaining once. He was a genuinely kind person to know and work with! I'd highly recommend him for anyone interested in getting high quality service and memories to last a lifetime. --Taylin and Vincent

  Bill was fantastic. He takes great pictures and does them quickly. We did not waste time setting up poses because Bill has done this enough to get it done well in a short amount of time. He was extremely unobtrusive during both the wedding and reception, and got great candid shots during both. He also had the proofs ready within two weeks of the wedding. The photos were amazing and far exceeded our expectations.

  Bill with Extreme Photography is such a professional and an easy person to work with! We loved our photos and how thorough he was making sure to get all of his shots. We had our photos back as soon as we were back from our honeymoon (less than 2 weeks after the wedding) and he even braved the Des Moines winter to get the outside pictures that I so desperately wanted without ever complaining! We purchased his biggest package and you just cannot beat his prices or his work ethic! I would highly recommend his services!

  Bill (Extreme Photo) met all expectations as our photographer on our wedding day. Bill also did our engagement pictures which turned out wonderful. Bill really knew how to use the lighting and environment around us to produce a beautiful picture. Once we got closer to our wedding, he went out on his own time to find an outdoor location near our church to use the day of the wedding. The spot he found was perfect! As we look back at our pictures, we are delighted with all the moments he caught. There was a nice balance of candid and formal photographs. Finally, the cherry on top for working with Bill was how promptly he returned our pictures. We received a beautiful album along with over 300 4x6 pictures. Bill is a quality photographer at a reasonable price. We can’t wait to order more photos from Bill and use him for future photography needs.

  Bill did an excellent job with our photos. We last minute called him and asked him to take photos on our day because we had issues with our other photographer and luckily he had a cancel on our wedding day so he was able to do ours. We were so pleased with Bill after the experience we had with our prior photographer during our engagement shoot we were a little nervous about our wedding photos. Bill did excellent with communicating during the photo shoot to get the best photos possible! He even did a superhero photo that we had requested. They all turned out absolutely beautiful and we were more then pleased with his service. The pricing for the quality of service was definitely worth hiring him! He was a better price then our previous photographer who did an absolute awful job. I would highly recommend Bill!!! Also our photos were developed very quickly and we had quite a few of them!!! If you're looking for quality service, great prints and communication at a reasonable price, Bill is your guy!

All for under a thousand dollars.

  I am very happy with how my pictures turned out. Bill did a great job and everything was done for a reasonable price. Unfortunately I have to order all my prints through him which is going to cost me a few hundred dollars.

  Wedding Photos

  After paying $1100+ and being advised that over 400 pictures were taken I was so excited to see them! Unfortunately when I did I was extremely disappointed. Out of 370 pictures a good 150 were duplicates. We have 11 of some of the same pictures. The quality, resolution and lighting for majority of our pictures is terrible! Very dark, blurry faces, eyes closed, our colors not standing out at all and our colors were champagne, burgundy and blush. So it wasn't due to dull colors. Everything was so beautiful, but you wouldn't tell that by any of our pictures, due to the lighting and resolution being so bad. The pictures of our groomsmen are so discolored and out of focus that my husband's face looks like a totally different person in some of them and like a white blob in others. He got 1 picture of my uncles walking me down the aisle and my face is blurry and neither of my uncles were looking at the camera. The pictures from our reception are the most disappointing. They do not look like they were taken by a professional. They are very dark, faces are blurry, eyes are closed. There were several pictures taken of absolutely nothing just random stuff.....like our wedding coordinator standing in the doorway starring at the ground. Pictures of me and/or my fiance and I that other people were taking. No pics of our decor, except of a couple extremely close up pics of our centerpieces, which didn't even show the whole centerpiece. Pictures of our champagne classes that included that cup of water that was sitting there. All pics of the head table are blurry/low resolution. No pictures were taken with family. We had a candy bar and only 1 picture was taken from the side. Same as our cupcake table. So you can't really see anything. We have no pictures of our wedding party entering the reception, due to him locating himself on the wrong side of the room. So all we see are their sides or back. There's only 1 picture of my husband and I entering the reception, which is in black & white (no color copy available). I had to do all of the editing for my pictures, though I paid to have that done. There's only 2 pictures of the groomsmen getting ready and only a few of my bridal party. The bottom of my dress was cutoff in several pictures. No pictures were taken of the shoes that I wore for my ceremony or reception, which were custom made and I had requested pictures of. The only picture taken of our rings was very dark and in very poor lighting. There were a few pictures that turned out great, but majority of the pictures do not look like they were taken by a professional and are not what you would expect from a professional wedding photographer, especially when paying $1100+ for photography services. It was a very disappointing experience for such an important event.

  I certainly feel bad that you are so disappointed in the quality of wedding pictures that you received from Extreme Photo. I'm really at a loss for words as this is my first ever experience with a Bridezilla. I guess I've just been lucky in over 30 years of shooting weddings. But after hearing you complaining to the DJ and the reception venue manager - I was really hoping I would just come through the experience unscathed. I doubt that any of us could have done anything much differently without you finding something to complain about. Again, I'm sorry that you are so disappointed. I hope that people will read all my reviews and judge for themselves.
