We loved the venue because it’s got beautiful inside and outside space. The Frutig team has renovated the valley so well! It’s designed so thoughtfully, including individual spaces for both bridal parties to get ready. On top of that, the team is responsive and has great ideas and experience to make your dat amazing! Highly recommend.

Ed, Kelly & team- THANK YOU! We were originally scheduled to get married in June at a completely different venue and COVID completely changed that, but we could not be more thankful that things worked out the way that they did! We were married at Misty Farm, which is absolutely STUNNING. Ed & Kelly were so incredibly kind and helpful as we transitioned our wedding to this new venue, and they executed our vision perfectly! The staff was very professional and helpful throughout the evening. The sailcloth tent was a stunning bonus to the already stunning grounds.. honestly you can't go wrong! We highly recommend Frutig Farms- you will not be disappointed!

Where to even begin!? My husband and I got married at The Valley earlier this past September and we can honestly say this was one of the best decisions of our entire lives. The stress of finding that perfect venue to get married at is pretty tough. We went venue touring for a few weeks, and as cliche as it sounds, when we first stepped foot on Frutig Farms-The Valley property we both looked at each other and said "we are getting married here." It has the most magical views, landscape is pristine, and the barn venue was absolutely perfect for the vibe that we intended to have. During our initial visit, Ed took us through the site and our mouths dropped with how PERFECT it was. Multiple spaces for ceremony options, indoor/outdoor, a dinner barn with beautiful barn doors and chandeliers, a reception barn with perfectly hung lights, multiple bar areas, bridal suites for both the girls and guys, want me to go on? It has EVERYTHING you could ever dream of. Both my husband and I's family has a huge tie to farms, and it was almost like this place was where we were meant to be. And this was all the feelings only on the initial meeting with Ed!

Once we chose The Valley for our big day, the process was seamless. Both Ed and Kelly were there for us from the time we visited, to our big day. They both are the nicest humans and truly care for their clients. They are always available to answer questions, allow you to check out the space whenever you feel the need to, and help coordinate in all the ways you could think of. One amazing part about choosing Frutig Farms is that they put on a Wedding showcase where they bring in vendors for everything you could imagine on your big day (caterers, entertainment, stationary, deserts and pastries, florists etc.) This was so nice of them to offer and was beautifully put on. Professionalism is a good word to describe everything that Ed, Kelly and the Frutig Farms staff put forward. Not only are they professional, but so down to earth. We can happily say we have formed such a strong bond and friendship with this family through our wedding planning process that we plan on staying close for the years to come!

The venue allows for a rehearsal dinner time the day before, and the staff is there to help as well. They take so much stress off of you, and that is beyond appreciated as a bride and groom who have to worry about all the other details of the big day. Linens? They place them. Table layout, they've got it! Bartenders? No worry, they will staff them! Transportation? They've got golf carts! Me, my dad, and my bridesmaids were all able to ride golf carts down to our ceremony space! Little details like this did not go unnoticed and we couldn't say thank you enough!

The staff is hands down the best in the business. I can't tell you how many of our guests came up to us and said this was the best run wedding they have ever been to. Timing was PERFECT. Bartenders took the time to learn peoples names and their drink orders. During the wedding and reception Kelly made it a point to handle anything and everything we needed, without being asked to. Both Kelly, Ed, and their staff were always in positive spirits and were there until the very end of the night! From the start of our journey with wedding planning, to the very end, Ed, Kelly, and staff were there for us and supported us. That is all we could have ever wanted.

If you are looking for a wedding venue with the best staff, professional and supportive owners, the most magical landscape, amenities galore, and the PERFECT wedding experience, go with Fruit Farms! Our daughter was married at the Valley on June 29, 2019. From our first visit to look at the property on we were so impressed with Ed, Kelley and the entire staff. Barb, our coordinator was a godsend. The staff for the wedding weekend was just fabulous. Friendly, professional and they didn't miss anything. We were very happy with this venue!

The Valley is an absolutely beautiful and well curated venue, and our guests couldn't say enough great things about it. They have thought of everything, from the bathroom baskets to the 'pinterest' prop room. Plus they have the most adorable mini-donkeys! Their groom's and bride's suites are perfect for getting ready. The Valley staff was kind, responsive, and professional. Our coordinator, Barb, was incredible and so helpful in ironing out all of our details and making our day run so smoothly.

Our wedding vision was more vintage than rustic, and we had the flexibility to make it our own. Plus we loved having the venue for the whole weekend so that we could set everything up on Friday, and leave everything overnight so all we had to do on Saturday was show up. We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Valley too, which was a great way for wedding party and families to get acclimated to the venue. We all felt very much at home!

Throughout the entire process, I could not have been more thankful that we chose Misty Farm (Fruitg Farm) as our venue. The owners of the property were very helpful during the time we took to choose Misty Farm as our venue, when we signed the contract and they always kept us informed on upcoming events and important dates. Once we were assigned our event coordinator, Barb, our experience only got better. Barb was extremely helpful answering our questions leading up to the day and helped to make sure all went smoothly on the day of. Not to mention that the grounds are beautiful and the work that they do to the property makes it incredibly easy to have a beautiful ceremony and reception there. If we could do it all over again, I certainly wouldn't change a thing about our venue choice. We had a beautiful day and our guests still rant and rave about how much fun they had.

We got married at Frutig Farms- The Valley on September 23rd and had a seamless day due to Barb Thayer and the staff at the venue. Throughout the planning process Barb was extremely helpful in walking us through what we needed to do & what she had seen done in the past in order to help us coordinate a perfect day. This was incredibly appreciated considering we were planning this wedding from across the country. The planning session about 1 month in advance of the wedding gave us a sigh of relief as it set expectations and ensured that all the small details would be taken care of throughout the weekend between Barb and the significant amount of staff onsite during both Friday and Saturday events. Ed and Kelly Frutig (the owners) consistently dropped by the venue throughout the weekend to ensure that your vendors were taking care of you and you were having a positive experience.

In addition to the amazing staff, we can’t tell you how wonderful it was to have this venue Friday and Saturday. We arrived on Friday and had everything set-up for both rehearsal dinner and the wedding day so that when Saturday came we could relax & enjoy. I can’t tell you how many venues I have seen that you have to be in and out within 12 hours, which creates stress and chaos when you should be enjoying. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed having rehearsal dinner at the venue in the area by the groom’s suite and the kids loved the sheep.

We were completely blown away by the venue and the attention to detail that Kelly and Ed put into this space. The site was absolutely gorgeous; ceremony site was shaded and full of trees to create a perfect backdrop, the cocktail hour is around the bar that is formerly the top of the silo with dairy tools cemented into the bar top, the dinner barn opens up to create amazing natural light, the restrooms are expansive and filled with toiletries for guests to use.

Everything was over the top. The staff was a huge help. I received many comments on our wedding night how perfect the barn was and how beautiful it was. I cannot thank the entire staff enough for everything they did to make my day perfect!

My wife and I got married at Misty Farm, and we highly recommend you do the same. Everyone came up to us during the reception and said it was one of the most unique and beautiful weddings they had been to. You get a lot of options as far as where on the gorgeous property you’d like the ceremony, and Kelly Frutig and her family really know what they’re doing. Very stress-free planning and coordination on the day of. Keep in mind that this is a very popular venue, so you’re going to want to book early!

My friend and I held a surprise party March 20, 2015 for 75 plus people at The Valley it was absolutely perfect!!! Barb, who runs events was our bartender and did a fabulous job with putting things together, running the event and bartending!!! This is my second event at the farms and I will continue to use them. Kelly Frutig is a dream to work with!! As is Barb and the rest of the Staff. Beautiful settings, awesome decorating (pinterest room) to work with. Thank you Misty Farms and The Valley!!! First off, our family would like to thank Barb for an absolutely wonderful job coordinating Mike and Katie’s wedding day. She has worked with us since late summer. Barb made everything come together with the wedding, rehearsal and everything in between. We are so happy to have had her as our wedding coordinator. On their big day she made sure EVERYTHING was taken care of.

Second, Thank you to Kelly and her family. They continuously checked up on us during the wedding and always took our calls before the wedding. Answered any questions we had and worked through any issues that had come up.

Our kids had the most wonderful day! Having a wedding at The Valley was such a great choice. We had some concerns (which we worked through) with our “senior” guests but overall everyone had a wonderful time. The bartenders and staff were super friendly and accommodating. The bridal suite was very comfortable for the girls and the one for the guys was nice also. The sheep are a nice touch. No issues with parking or any problems with the traffic.

The venue is expensive, however after our experience it is worth every penny we spent. We cut expenses in other areas to allow for a nicer venue. I would highly recommend Frutig Farms. Great family business!

We had our wedding at Misty Farm on October 5th and WOW. It was an amazing day from beginning to end. Over the year long process that we were booked with Kelly at Misty Farm was a great experience. Her and her family are very kind, flexible and made our wedding day flawless. My now husband and I are a pretty laid back couple to begin with and this venue fit our personalities perfectly. The Frutig family opens up their home to you like you are a part of their family and allows you to use their whole property for whatever you need for the weekend. We threw the party of a lifetime and our family is still talking about it! :) I would absolutely recommend Misty Farm to anyone who is looking for an awesome, laid back, outdoor wedding experience.

Misty Farms is a fabulous venue. Kelly & Ed were great to work with, they offered great advice, were responsive and able to juggle last minute weather issues we encountered without a hitch. If you would like a beautiful and unique setting this is the venue for you. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or experience.

I can't find adequate words to describe Kelly and Ed's venue at Misty Farm. From the moment we first visited last summer, until our event last Saturday night, they have been helpful, kind, and invested in providing the perfect place for a beautiful, memorable wedding. In just the past year, they have made many improvements, including adding two new bathrooms at ground level. They were willing to work with us to help turn my daughter's wedding dreams into reality, and made certain to check in with us often while we were there setting up to see if there was anything they could do to help. During each of our meetings, Kelly took detailed notes, and when we arrived on Friday morning, every table and chair was arranged exactly as we had discussed. Kelly and Ed are proud of the hard work and effort they have put into creating an amazing environment, and their passion for their venture is obvious. Take good care of their property, respect their rules, communicate with them in a timely fashion, and you will reap the rewards tenfold.

Misty farms is an absolutely stunning venue!! I could not be more impressed with our time spent there. The Frutig's make you feel welcomed and offer suggestions on many different aspects of the wedding planning. Kelly helped me to feel more at ease with helpful suggestions. It is very evident they are there to serve you and meet your needs all while maintaining a level of professionalism. I truly believe if you are looking for a venue- Misty Farms is the absolute best! They take great care of their facilities and ensure everything is looking fabulous for your special day. I could not be happier we chose to say "I Do" there!

Misty Farm is the most beautiful Venue ever. Kelly and Ed the owners run a fantastic business. Having the properity for the weekend is wonderful and the pictures are amazing. This is one venue where you can design your perfect wedding, choosing your food, buying your wine and beer, and flowers avoiding the middle man and all the mark-ups. I would reccomend Misty Farm to anyone who want the best.

I was shocked at how many times my family heard "this was by far the most beautiful location for a wedding they have ever been to." This venue makes the wedding pictures phenomenal.

We had our reception at The Valley on 11/14/2016. It was perfect! I absolutely love the barn feel and loved the fact that we could decorate ourselves. Only possible downsides...the Bartenders appeared to be @ 18 years old and didn't know how to "make a drink" according to my guests. I had wine, so that was easy. They also used all the wrong glasses (ie: used the small wine glasses for mixed drinks. Therefore, we went home with over 200 of the "regular" drink glasses) Oh well, not a huge disappointment. Overall, it was a beautiful night!

Beautiful venue!!! Our guests just loved this place. Wonderful, friendly and helpful people. We had our daughters wedding at the newest venue Misty Valley. I do recommend that you use your own wedding coordinator to avoid disappointments. Although staff were very friendly and helpful it appeared that they were lacking in experience or maybe just understaffed and a little disorganized.
Can be pricey and some unexpected hidden costs. Apart from some disappointments our daughter had a beautiful memorable wedding day!

Misty Farms was a beautiful venue. The propery is unique and in great condition. It is also nice that you get to rent it for the whole weekendThe owners are very flexible and helpful. Kelly (the owner) has been hosting weddings for 2 years now and you can tell that she is becoming increasingly more organized. At times it took some time to get a response from her, but everything turned out wonderful in the end. I would recommend the venue to anyone looking for a memorable place to get married.

Misty Farms provided me with my absolute dream wedding. It was so special to work with a family owned business, and a family who clearly wants to provide brides and their families with a unique, special, and treasured event. Kelly is so kind and really great to work with, and always happy to provide ideas and help throughout the process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and sets the scene for a wedding unlike any other! Guests were able to wander the farm, people can't stop talking about how unique it was! We even brought a bucket of carrots and guests were able to feed the horses. :) The only cause for not a perfect score is the overall cost and time involved in hosting a wedding here. Although they include a number of things in their facility fee, you are still responsible for booking a caterer, supplying a bar, finding a DJ, and a number of other things that took quite a bit of time to coordinate, and ended up costing more than anticipated. However, Misty Farms is an absolute dream of a wedding venue, and unlike one I've ever been to before. I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to get married!

We worked with Barb Thayer of Frutig Farms. We really enjoyed our experience with her very much and she worked hard to accommodate our wants and needs for our special day! We did have some communication mishaps but they were quickly addressed and solved by her and the rest of the staff. She was very efficient as we would recommend her to anyone looking to use Frutig Farms.

We searched for the perfect Ann Arbor venue for eight months. In that time, I am certain we visited pretty much every "alternative" venue (museums, galleries, restaurants, etc.) in the area. Misty Farms is by far the most gorgeous event space in the city. They also allow you to bring in all of your own vendors, so it is quite easy to save and customize the space to fit your event. Unfortunately, this is where the good stuff ends.

Cons:
-Disorganized: so happy to have had hired my own coordinator, or I would have probably gone crazy due to all of the confusion and misunderstandings.
-Unprepared: the battery tied in the microphone our officiant was using, mid-ceremony. Batteries aren't that expensive, and I would think would be best to just use once or rechargeables in this context.

If you go with this venue, an outside coordinator is an ABSOLUTE MUST! Our's eliminated/diffused so many stressful situations, and honestly pulled a beautiful wedding off despite all the obstacles in her way.

The value rating is high only for the beauty of the barn and nothing else. My fiancé and I fell in love with this place and the people (who we thought were genuine) in February 2017. We had visited the venue and decided to put a 7 day hold on the date of our choosing June 23, 2018 and emailed and received confirmation from co-owner stating my date (June 23, 2018) was reserved. Then when we returned to the venue to sign the contract and place a deposit, with both in-laws present, we were with an employee Barb who apparently has only done a handful of contracts (which we did not know). She was disorganized and not prepared for us. We did not mind because we were excited about the day and were okay with being patient. Then came the contract signing..... I filled out every page except one, which Barb filled out. One page, stated "On this day (blank) 30 days prior to your wedding, the following payments are due:" In which I filled out May 26th. My fiancé and I, along with Barb all signed this page. When finishing the contract Barb said she would leave to go make a copy and when returning she said the printer wasn't working and asked if she could mail it, which I said yes (my mistake). From that point on I never received a contract in the mail, even after calling to check in and remind her. Fast forward to July 2017 when I went to make a deposit and to my surprise they did not have my name listed on June 23 but May 26th... After crying and panicking for several days (waiting for the owner Kelly to get back to me when she could meet in person) we finally had a meeting. During the meeting after presenting her with the emails I had between her husband and I, the contract page that clearly stated the 30 days prior mark of May 26th, and explaining that her employee was at fault she continued to lecture me and state how "this will be a life lesson". She stated that I should've called again to check on the contract (while I have 3 jobs and I am in full-time nursing school).
