We had a small dinner reception in the Elevated Room at Divani on our wedding day in September, and were absolutely blown away! The food, the service, the atmosphere - everything was 5 star. Every single person we encountered was so kind and accommodating. Wendy was also an absolute DREAM to work with. I went back and forth with Wendy for about a year while planning our wedding. Celebrating here was the perfect ending to a perfect day, and we cannot thank you all enough!

The entire team at Divani was friendly, professional and exceptionally flexible and efficient. We felt very well taken care of and the guests loved the food and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to plan an event. The venue was gorgeous and it was a very pleasant and memorable experience. Wendy was amazing! Our ‘night before’ was a great success. She brought great ideas and worked with me to put on an amazing event while keeping to budget.

Divani hosted my wedding celebration dinner with my close family. It was a small event (14 total), but the space & ambiance was more than elegant, fulfilling my dream of an elegant dinner. The food was fantastic, service was above & beyond, & location was perfect. Working with Wendy was amazing; she answered all of my questions & truly made my dream a reality. You won't be disappointed!

We could not have been more pleased with our experience at Gallery Divani. We held our ceremony, followed by a dinner celebration at the venue in February 2020. The whole team at Divani was welcoming and made the planning process easy. The service during our event was impeccable. The ambiance in the room was everything I had hoped for, a room full of love.

Divani was the perfect venue for us.
The venue itself is beautiful, so not a lot of decorating is required. Wendy was phenomenal to work with. I put my trust in her and everthing was perfect. She suggested things I hadn't thought of. Our guests raved about the food, and the beer and wine selection fit our guests very well. Thank you Divani for helping to make our day perfect.

I was a pandemic bride planning a wedding from another state. Through hundreds of questions, postponements, and ever-fluctuating guest lists, Gallery Divani's team was beyond willing to accommodate us. On the day of my wedding, they provided a lovely bridal room with an assortment of refreshments, which I was not expecting, and it made me feel so taken care of. They genuinely seemed thrilled to be a part of my special day, even offering a tissue when I was about to cry and telling me that I looked beautiful in my dress. We were lucky enough to have our rehearsal dinner at Divani as well and it was the most incredible food and service I've ever experienced. My whole party felt like royalty and the Divani team were so kind and personable that they felt like a part of the family. Not to mention the ceremony and restaurant spaces are absolutely stunning! I promise your guests will be impressed, I know mine were. I cannot say enough about our experience with them and any Grand Rapids (or beyond) couples should see what they have to offer!

Divani was perfect for our small wedding with 50 guest. The food was the main reason we chose this location and the price was great. Wendy was great to work with and the staff at the event went above and beyond when we had a mishap with our wedding cake. Couldn’t recommend them enough to someone looking for a smaller sized wedding venue with great food.

Wendy was great throughout the whole wedding journey. She answered my emails very quickly and had very good advice when i had questions about stuff. The staff at Divani was great the whole time during our wedding! They had great attitudes and they attended to our every need. The food was also AMAZING! There are so many options to choose from, whether its food, drinks, furniture, etc.! It was a great price for such a cute venue placed right in downtown grand rapids. Definitely would recommend Divani for future brides!

Divani was a perfect venue to host our wedding ceremony. The room was perfect size for our ceremony. Wendy and her team were very responsive with questions, and very accommodating with our requests. Highly recommended!!!

The food is amazing!! The bar tenders are so awesome and all the staff i talked to were so warm and welcoming.
The parking is a little tricky but manageable. ( its pay parking )

Bar Divani was an excellent venue for our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. Wendy did a great job of helping us work through all the details. Her professionalism and follow-up made the party planning virtually stress free. The space is gorgeous and service the night of the party was also top-notch.

Wendy and Nick were wonderful to work with! Everything went smoothly the day of except for the music/sound system. Food was delicious and worth the cost. No complaints!

The good: Some of the biggest positives was that the staff that night were amazing! They were accommodating and even our guests reached out to us on how hard they were working. When the risotto issue came to light, I spoke to one of the servers and he was kind enough to reach out to each table in asking who ordered it and was able to head off any issues. The 2nd thing was the food. It looked great, portions were large, and it tasted wonderful. Lastly, Mary Beth was prompt with her responses to my many questions.

The bad: One concern I noticed was that the staff appeared to be very stressed (understaffed?). If properly staffed, I believe some of the following concerns could have been prevented. The servers dropped things more than once. One table actually collapsed. The vegetarian option was sweet corn risotto, but on the night of, mushroom risotto was served! During the tasting, we tried the mushroom risotto but were assured it was going to be sweet corn when we had our reception due to the changing seasons.

Overall, the one thing that is unfortunately the issue that left the most negative impact on my experience was the time and inconsistency of the dinner. My last guest received her main chicken dish at approximately 9:40pm. This is 1.5 hrs after salads and dinner were to be started. Regarding the consistency, my husband's grandma received her chicken dinner, and no one else at the table received their main dish until 20-30 min. later. I noticed this happened at nearly each table. This was quite inconvenient for our guests as they were forced to choose between dining with those at their table or eating while their meal was still warm. For a dinner that started so late, this seemed a bit ridiculous, rude and awkward for our guests, especially when the dinner was planned 8 months in advance. I specifically brought up ArtPrize as a concern when booking and was assured that this would not be an issue considering a past event occurred during Irish On Ionia.

First of all, my wedding day itself was beautiful and perfect! Lewis, the private dining manager, is amazing! Him and his staff worked very hard the day of the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. If I had to rate the staff and the food it would be all 5 starts!
The reason that I can't give a good review is b/c the event coordinator was awful. My first event coordinator, Mary Beth, was great. BUT a few months before my event a new coordinator, Wendy, was hired. She was VERY hard to get in touch with. wouldn't return phone calls and wouldn't return emails. Brides out there know that this can be quite nerve racking, especially when it's a big vendor such as your venue and caterer! If you deal with her make sure to have everything in writing b/c she will try to trick you into things without giving you the entire story. She is very unprofessional and very rude.
