    We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at this venue and it was truly amazing! They were so flexible with allowing us to come in early to set up all the design concepts we had for our wedding theme. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was truly perfect. The ballroom was absolutely stunning and it made our night unforgettable. I cant say enough about the friendly staff and ownership and how much they were truly invested in giving us the perfect wedding day.

    Greektown Square was where we had our daughter's wedding reception in June. Believe it or not, they accommodated our over 300 guests ---we were holding our breath that all would fit well, that we'd still have a dance floor and that the food would be served in a timely way. When my husband and I entered the venue after taking photos, etc, and arriving after our guests, we looked at each other with apprehension and walked in---it took our breath away, in a good way! The room was buzzing, with music and laughter, people being served, and the room just looked dazzling! Amazingly classy and bright. Just breathtakingly beautiful. And the food was truly outstanding. Many guests said "Best wedding food. Ever." Homemade tasting, fresh, lovely. A few of my girlfriends called it "Fabulous". We are so grateful to John who handled our contract, to Nick who is the best chef, and to all the friendly and professional staff. still don't have photos yet but wanted to post this and highly recommend Greektown Square to anyone needing an affordable and elegant venue with great food and staff.

    We ultimately did not use Greektown Square and Event Center as our wedding venue because we found a venue closer to our family, but John was an absolute pleasure to work with. He provided us the best deal among all venues, and he was very intentional about meeting our budget. I'm sure that anyone choosing this venue would be thrilled by the very beautiful venue with amazing service.

    Recently had a surprise 60th birthday for my husband here - it was great!!!! They can do as much, or as little (for those of you who are into decorating/fixing up - I'm not) as you want. But the food was exceptional - we had prime rib, baby lamb chops, two types of salad for a salad bar, and a really great pasta bar. Desserts were minimal, as guests wanted to bake their specialties for my husband. The only negative was that my husband is a coffee expert and they do not do espresso or capuccino (maybe in the future!), but everything else was superb. I can wholeheartedly recommend them for FOOD, VALUE, FLEXIBILITY and QUALITY... They have two areas, the upstairs for larger, more formal events and the downstairs where we had our event, which was perfect. We were 70+ and everyone loved the evening.

    We have had a couple events at Greektown Square & event center. The first one was my daughters wedding rehearsel dinner and just recently her baby shower. from the staff down to the food and service. I would give this place a thumbs up especially for their excellent tasting food I would highly recommend this venue for your event. The flexibility of Frank and Steve helped a lot in planning both events.

    I've been here many times for all types of events...formal wedding receptions, casual parties, concerts, and festivals. It's great every time but especially nice when the main ballroom is decorated for a wedding. Stunning!

    We had the most wonderful wedding reception. This space is amazing, and can be transformed to whatever you envision your event to look like. The food and service was outstanding. Thank you for making our wedding night unforgettable!!!!

    Beautiful place to have an event! We had our daughters christening there and we were beyond happy with everything. All of our guests were complimenting on the food and how lovely everything was. Thank you Greek town square!

    The staff here is wonderful. They pay very close attention to every detail and will do whatever it takes to make everyone happy! I've hosted a baptism here and been to many other events here and the food is always amazing, it's extremely clean and just simply beautiful! HIGHLY recommend this event hall for ANY of your needs!

    Horrible - unprofessional

    Absolutely Awful! Would NOT recommend.

    1. Michael had told me COUNTLESS times that it was our wedding day and that my husband and I would have no worries or stress. He stated that we would be served dinner (we had buffet) and drinks as soon as we were introduced, and throughout the night – It NEVER ONCE happened. We had to serve ourselves dinner as the catering staff was cleaning up dinner. I have NEVER EVER attended a wedding where the bride and groom were not served?? We had to walk to the bar and get our drinks ourselves. To say we were embarrassed is an understatement.

    2. The head count and final payment was due 2 weeks prior – Michael called me and asked if we could pay early. UNACCEPTABLE.

    3. Upon arrival Michael and the staff were approaching all of my guests asking if they were vaccinated?? RUDE and UNACCEPTABLE

    4. I told Michael several times that we would need at least TWO bartenders as we had a large wedding and a lot of them are drinkers. I was shocked to only see ONE bartender and there was a long line at the bar the whole ENTIRE time. UNACCEPTABLE

    5. Within the first hour the bar had run out pineapple juice, cranberry juice, white wine, and margarita mix. Some of our guests had to run to the store and bought liquor and mixers. EMBARASSING TO SAY THE LEAST. Alcohol is what we paid for!!!!!!!!!!!!

    6. My husband is Baltimore City Fire Fighter and 3 of his co-workers (our guests) were served beer that had an expiration date of 2020!!!!! MORTIFYING

    7. I was not able to locate Michael or any staff when I wanted the lights dimmed for dinner/dancing. It took me 20 mins to find someone to accommodate my request.

    8. From the very beginning we told Michael, that my daughters Yia Yia would be making spinach and cheese pies for our wedding. He OK’d this and 5 hours before my wedding he called me and said that this was not allowed. After speaking with him, she was FINALLY able to bring them in. STRESSFUL BEYOND BELIEF. ( timeline also sent in with this letter where it states its ok)

    9. A server spilled water on the dance floor as she was walking across the venue, my mother cleaned it up so no one would slip.

    10. Michael charged me a 22% service charge, and for what I have NO IDEA. Friday afternoon, the day before my wedding, myself, my friends and my mother set up the ENTIRE venue. We personally wiped off every charger and placed them on the table, wrapped and folded every napkin and placed them on the tables, set all the center pieces, set up the dessert table, hors d’oeuvres table and seating chart table, and placed all the chair sashes on all 157 chairs. He stated he was busy dealing with an issue with the refrigerators/freezer. He should have paid me since the staff did nothing!

    11. At 10pm, an hour before the event ended, my guests were served drinks in plastic dixie cups!!!!!!! UNBELEIVABLE! Why? The bar stated they were out of clean glasses. The staff/Michael were not prepared. EMBARASSING

    12. The staff threw away all of my leftover desserts, my pricey wedding cake and my cake topper $40 (tradition is to freeze it and eat it on your 1 year anniversary)!!!!!!!!! When I called Michael, he LIED to me and stated “Your mother told me throw everything away”. My mother would NEVER in a million years say that. Ever! UNACCEPTABLE (timeline also sent in with this letter where it states we are to save cake)
