  Beyond expectations!!

  WOW! I don't have the words to express how amazing our entire wedding experience with Haig Point was. From the first inquiry email I sent in November 2021 to our dream wedding August 21, 2022, Courtney and the entire team at Haig point has been nothing short of phenomenal. Planning a wedding on an island with a ferry and golf cart transportation can be a little tricky and requires a few extra steps, but they made it seamless. You can tell they do a lot of events and seem to have it down to a science. I received prompt responses with every question and request. Their recommend vendor list was spot on. The pricing was fair and completely transparent. Every detail of the weekend was organized with precision and honestly went off without a hitch. Our wedding was small and intimate, with 30 of our closest friends and family staying on the island from Friday-Monday in the Strachan Mansion and nearby rental homes. It was everyone's first time to Daufuskie, and every single one of our guests has already talked about when we can plan another trip back. We've been told countless times that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Beyond the gorgeous views, low-key laid back island lifestyle, delicious food, and great amenities(golf, beachfront pool, bar, etc) what really made it special for us was that it we were able to host a luxury destination wedding without the normal hassles of a "destination wedding". The Haig Point team, from the front desk staff, to bartenders (Loxley!), to our incredible event coordinator Courtney and her partner Alexandra, every single person politely, patiently, and proactively made the weekend absolutely perfect in every single way. No ask was too big or small. Food and alcohol options were very important to us and they offer a wide variety of high-quality alcohol as well as menu options. Food at both the Calibogue Club and the Haig Point golf club were outstanding and really exceeded our expectations. Even with unpredictable things like rain during the outdoor ceremony and then a "small"(BIG) storm temporarily knocked out the power during the reception, the whole team handled everything with professionalism and turned what could have been stressful issues into no big deal. As the bride and groom, we were able to relax and enjoy the weekend which in hindsight is a rarity when it comes to your own wedding! Without hesitation, we would book a future event here, re-do our wedding here, re-new our vows here. We already can't wait to go back. I really can't think of a single thing that we would change about our wedding on Daufuskie and cannot recommend Haig Point highly enough!

  The most amazing wedding experience we could ask for. The organization and communication was excellent. The venues and amenities top notch. I would not change a thing. Very satisfied.

  Private Island Wedding PARADISE

  I cannot recommend Haig Point enough!! From start to finish, the employees, coordinators, staff members were so accommodating, caring, and fun! This venue was so affordable and perfect for us as we were looking for something private, accessible, and beautiful of course!
  
  The shining star though was their primary wedding coordinator, Courtney! She made our entire wedding perfect from start to finish. Even when it rained on the day of, everyone was so calm, supportive and made it just as fun!
  
  Our guests can’t stop raving about the food, the views, the privacy, the fun golf carts, the gorgeous ferry ride, the beautiful homes they stayed in, and the kindness of the employees! (I think my friends became besties with most of the staff !)
  
  I can’t thank the whole team enough for how amazing it was. They were far more accommodating than I ever could have imagined. I don’t think I felt an ounce of stress on the day of the wedding because they’re so amazing. In the words of many guests : “woah! I feel like this is a celebrity wedding!!”

  Dream Wedding Weekend

  We booked our rehearsal dinner and wedding through Haig Point and they did not disappoint. Our rehearsal was at the Beach Club, the ceremony was at the Lighthouse, and our reception was at the Clubhouse. The venues, service, and food were all incredible - our guests are still commenting on how perfect the entire weekend was. We had a couple minor hiccups, but Courtney and Chelsea were so quick to handle everything, I knew I had nothing to worry about. We could not have picked a more beautiful, unique, and memorable spot for our big day.

  Haig Point is absolutely beautiful and we could not be happier with our wedding! Courtney was the best coordinator - She was very helpful, accommodating and detailed! The venue was gorgeous and food was remarkable. The entire experience of being on Daufuskie, in Haig Point, was so unique and rememberable. It is unlike any place we have ever been. We were so grateful to have the perfect wedding weekend with family & friends there!

When we surprisingly learned our daughter was going to get engaged and that she only wanted to get engaged at beautiful Haig Point Club on the beach (rain or shine!), we immediately called Courtney to see how to make this magical day happen ~ thanks to fantabulous Tamika Harrison (Guest Services Dir.) Tamika knows just how to make any occasion remarkably wonderful with her always enthusiastic, cheerful and kind demeanor and her endless, contagious spectacular smile!
  
  On our 1st call with Courtney, she couldn’t have been more genuinely excited and enthusiastic about creating the perfect proposal day for our daughter. She was as thrilled as I was to be able to play a part in planning my own daughter’s proposal! Courtney’s enthusiasm was literally contagious as we worked closely together while she created all these wonderful options for Connor to choose from on where/how to propose on the beach.
  
  Courtney is so knowledgeable, insightful, creative, resourceful and most of all kind and genuinely nice person who expertly can optimize any event ~ she makes it magical!! Masterful down the most minute event detail.

  Dream beach wedding weekend

  We are so happy that we found Haig Point. It is truly a magical place. Sarah Sheedy was amazing to work with. She was relaxed, calm and everything was no problem. It gave us the private beach wedding that we dreamed of. The Calibogue Club is beautiful! The chef provided us an amazing meal. So many options and everything was executed to perfection ! Our guests are still talking about the food. Thank you Sarah and the entire Haig Point team on creating our dream wedding !

  Wedding of Our Dreams!

  We had a drive-able destination wedding on the coast of SC in mind and we stumbled upon Haig Point at Daufuskie Island when browsing wedding blogs. It looked beautiful from the pictures and when we visited it in person we immediately knew it was hidden gem and the place for us to say I Do! From the short ferry ride over from HHI to the secluded island's marvelous views of the intracoastal waterway and Calibogue sound to the well-maintained grounds and properties, the experience felt so dreamy and we wanted that for our guests too! Sarah & the team at Haig Point was so helpful from start to finish planning our wedding - even with pressures and restrictions of COVID-19. The food was also amazing and received rave reviews from our guests! We are forever grateful for them helping to make our wedding weekend unforgettable. Haig Point will always hold a special place in our hearts and make a great place to have our anniversaries!

  No Fuss; Simply Fabulous!!!

  Haig Point was "on point" for our lovely destination wedding. The lighthouse was the perfect retreat for our wedding and honeymoon. The warmth and charm of the beautiful, historic lighthouse was the perfect place for the two of us to run away to and relax for a few days.
  I felt so special and well taken care of by every staff member. The uniqueness of the venue was matched the special care and attention provided to every detail of our stay!
  We cannot wait to return!

  My husband and I had a beautiful wedding at the Haig Point Lighthouse on September 23, 2018. Our wedding planner, Nancy Normile, was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make our day special. Even when rain threatened to throw off all of our plans, Nancy quickly came up with a Plan B on the lighthouse porch that ended up being perfect. Would highly recommend Haig Point for your wedding venue and Nancy as your planner. We are already planning a return visit for our one year anniversary.

  I don't even know what to say about our experience with Haig Point. My husband's family has a house on the island, and he also proposed there, so we knew immediately that's where we wanted to get married. Castrice Aiken, Chef Jim McLain, and Jamie Kinard, all took care of us so beautifully. Castrice is so amazing at her job, and when I had no ideas, she gave me the best ones. Our wedding was beautiful, she coordinated with all outside vendors to make sure they got to the island, and she was just so fun to work with. She was there until the end of the night, making sure everything turned out, and boy did it! Chef Jim is also always such a pleasure. He really takes pride in his food, and it shows, and he always has a smile on his face. My mother-in-law has numerous food allergies, and he took care to ensure that she had a meal just as amazing as everyone else, and even made her a dessert. I believe he also helped put down our dance floor! And Jamie really took care of our guests. I cannot imagine juggling that many people coming onto the island, dealing with housing, carts, etc., but I know that she handled it all so well. Not only did my husband and I have a fabulous time, but all of our guests did as well. I know it would not have been as amazing if it weren't for these 3, and everyone else behind the scenes, including some amazing bartenders! It could not have been a better day.

  The Haig Point staff, including the Events Director, Executive Chef and all the support staff provided our family with extraordinary service! Our guests were treated like VIP's; the special care and attention to detail made our daughters wedding a magical and most memorable event!

  The Haig Point staff, including the Events Director, Executive Chef and all the support staff provided our family with extraordinary service! Our guests were treated like VIP's; the special care and attention to detail made our daughters wedding a magical and most memorable event!

  This was an excellent location with very helpful staff all around! A few glitches before the wedding weekend, but the weekend was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better wedding!

  Kassie Dimase and Chef Jim McClain of the Haig Point Club are a fantastic team only enhanced by all of the other great staff who make this island destination an amazing experience for our guests, friends and family. The lodging team, transportation, boat captains,,valets. All are wonderful. Great local,low country food, perfect setting.

  Kassie, Chef Jim McClain, golf pro Jason Cherry and general manager/CEO Doug Egly were all phenomenal to work with. We worked most directly with Kassie when planning the final 6 months of our wedding and she was phenomenal. She not only considered our questions and concerns but she understood them and responded to them with the best integrity and professionalism. Everyone at our wedding commented on how easy it was to access the island, how wonderful the food was (there are not many weddings that I have been to that the food is this terrific!!!) and how friendly ALL the staff were. They were over-the-top accommodating with menu selections, special requests and even golf/T-time schedules for the guys! This venue blew us away with the privacy, charm, upscale amenities and welcoming nature. We could not have picked a better spot for our wedding. We wanted a memorable wedding that was not "cookie-cutter," that had character, charm, style, great food and great company and we got it all at Haig Point. Its the full package future brides!

  The most beautiful venue

  My husband & I live on Hilton Head and spend almost every weekend during the summer on Daufuskie at Freeport. Before we got engaged my husband took me to Haig Point to look around and I immediately knew that it would be our wedding venue! There’s several options for venues and every one of them is gorgeous!
  I couldn’t have been happier with our reception space at the Calibogue Club!

My parents used to have a place on Hilton Head, and after our wedding decided to move over to Haig Point as they fell in love with it from the amazing wedding experience. The scenery is stunning, it feels really exclusive being a ferry-only island, guests will have so much fun driving golf carts around, and it's really special having all of your guests in one place on the small island. We did our ceremony on the Tabby Lawns instead of by the lighthouse and I'm really happy we did that. I'm so lucky to be able to call it my wedding venue, and also now my family home. My parents, and now my husband and I, have become friends with many great people in the community. Haig Point is a very special place!

  Our 10/25/19 Wedding

  Deciding where to have your wedding can seem like a pretty daunting task. This wasn’t the case for us though because we already love Daufuskie Island. My husband and I live locally in Bluffton and spend a lot of our boat days on the island. We decided to tour three places even though we had a pretty good idea that this was where we wanted to tie the knot. Nancy was very quick to respond to me whenever I told her my interest in coming over to take a tour of the grounds. Haig Point is so beautiful from the time you step foot off of the dock. I always had a thing for Lighthouses so when I heard that would be our ceremony site and our pup could join in on the fun we were sold. As we got things rolling, I knew I wanted a Lowcountry Boil at our reception. Though it wasn’t on their typical menu, Nancy was very accommodating and made it happen. Everything went pretty seamlessly and I am very thankful for the staffs patients with us and all of our guests~especially with all of the last minute changes we had to make for unforeseen circumstances with my mother in law; the adding of a rehearsal dinner the week before wedding day. We had a blast and look forward to returning for our one year. Thanks Haig Point!
