    I got married at the Chatham Bars Inn this past October. Layla did our hair and makeup for myself, sisters,and my mom. She was great to work with. We all looked great and our hair and makeup was flawless . I highly reccomend her for your wedding day!

    I felt so, so fortunate I found Layla of Hairapy for my wedding day hair and makeup. She is so talented and such a fun person to work with. From the moment I contacted her, she was prompt to respond and when I met her for my hair trial, she put me right at ease. I had no idea what I envisioned for my hair, but I was in good hands with Layla. She created a beautiful updo that was elegant and special but did not compete with the overall simplicity of my look. I opted for the airbrush makeup and was glad I did. The effect was unreal, and again, Layla created a look for me that was just right for me. Having the hair and makeup trial beforehand was so worth it because we got to play around a bit with hair and makeup to get it just right for the big day, and it was fun!)

    On the day of the wedding, Layla was at our bridal suite and all set up before we even arrived. On the spot, she created lovely hairstyles for my mom and bridesmaid and also gave my mom, a makeup minimalist, a pretty look that had her camera ready and confident all day. As for me, I don't think I can properly express how very pleased I am with Layla. My hair and makeup were perfect all day, and we had a wonderful, windy beach ceremony. Every time I look at pIctures from the day I am reminded of what a great job Layla did. And I'm sure this is true for all brides, but I could not believe how many strangers stopped me to tell me I looked "stunning" that day; I can credit that to two people- my husband for making me so happy and Layla for her stellar work!

    Layla and her assistant did an AWESOME job for my wedding day. We are still talking about how great we looked. I would highly recommend her. I can't say enough about how good I looked and felt with my hair and makeup. I wish I had her to do it everyday!

    If you need an amazing hairstylist for your wedding (what bride doesn't) you MUST see Layla. She is so creative and talented. She did my hair as well as my bridesmaids and MOG for my wedding just about a month ago.

    I had a trial with Layla months before my wedding and loved my hair so much that she's now my hairstylist as well. When I went in for my trial I wasn't really sure what I wanted for my wedding day and just referenced that I liked the Jcrew bridal hairstyles. She just came up with something that was EXACTLY what I wanted.

    On the actual wedding day she arrived early, spent ample time with everyone, and kept me calm. The perfect finishing touch to my hair? A pale pink peony - it was amazing. I can't recommend her services enough! You're in for a real treat!

    Layla at Hairapy cannot be beat. She did both my hair and makeup for an affordable price and was even willing to come to me on a Sunday for no extra charge. She is a true pro and understood exactly what I wanted. Best of all, she has this really calming demeanor, which is perfect for any bride on their wedding day!

    Layla did such a FABULOUS job on my hair for my wedding along with all my bridesmaids,MOB, and flower girls. I had one trial with Layla before my wedding and she helped me with a style that looked good on my face. She is AMAZING! My hair was gorgeous on my wedding day! My mom is a hairdresser, Iv never had anyone else do my hair. I would go to her a 100 times over again and recommend her to everyone!

    I had a very frustrating experience with Layla Phillips. After a makeup test that went well several months before my wedding, I signed a contract with Layla and gave her a $300 deposit. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after the contract was signed, as I had a difficult time getting through to Layla on the phone or via email. I was hoping I was simply trying to reach her during an extraordinarily busy time in her life, but her rate of response never improved. So I cancelled the contract 60 days prior to the wedding. The contract stipulated that I receive a full refund upon cancellation 60 days prior to the wedding. It's now been almost 6 months since I cancelled the contract and I still haven't received my deposit back. Instead of calling or writing to explain why she chooses not to honor her contract, she wrote the below response to this review. (Devil's advocate: even if what she wrote were true, it has no bearing over the fact that the contract we both signed calls for a full refund of the deposit, a term she refuses to honor). She also reached out to Wedding Wire and asked to have them remove this review (they ruled in my favor after I sent them proof of my claim). I only hope this review serves as fair warning for any Cape Cod brides-to-be. There are plenty other customer service-oriented, ethical options (I found a couple great ones willing to travel to the Cape that do airbrush!). I gave Layla a shred of a star in hopes she comes to her senses and sends back the deposit, but I'm not holding my breath. Her response below illustrates that she values $300 more than client satisfaction. Why have a 60 day, full refund policy if you choose not to honor it?

    I would like everyone to know that I provided a professional service that you were very satisfied with. Upon signing the contract which you agreed upon you repeatedly tried to renegotiate the price over and over again. You caused me to loose business due to your indecisiveness . I did get back to you and responded properly and quickly every time. I made every effort to accommodate you tried to exercise me to the maximum even requesting i provide makeup for $10.00 per person. I'm sorry but I don't conduct business that way. I'm a professional and and I wish you the best!
