  Excellent!

  Melissa and Preston have been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Our guests were blown away with the heavenly views. Hidden gem for sure!!!

  My fiancé and I got engaged about 3 months ago. Right away we started looking for venues, our first one on the list was Hanford ranch and to be completely honest for us no other venue came closer. What I loved about it all was through the stressful process of finding a venue Melissa would check in to see how we were doing. I truly think she would have been happy for us either way. Our initial encounter was great. She was helpful and provided more than enough details about the venue. Once we decided to choose the location we went through the whole contract and there was no rock left Unturned. It is unfortunate with the wedding down below but even before we went over the contract, the day of the first meeting Melissa had told us about the process of renting a tent and the permits that went along with it. Our wedding is in 2019 but I can truly say that this has been a great so far. Any questions that we have had, she has called, emailed or texted in a timely manner. I’m pretty sure the review I leave after my wedding will be even better than this one but I highly recommend this venue. Great views, great management and well I truly don’t have anything bad to say. Looking forward to planning this wedding and getting married at this stunning venue. Side note: I love that they are always improving the venue. I’m sure by 2019 there will be more additions!!!

  Hanford Ranch Winery truly is Galt’s best kept secret. It is a hidden gem. As soon as my fiance and I took a tour, we fell in love with it. I have to say, melissa and preston were extremely kind, approachable, quick to respond, and truly cared about making our dream wedding come true. Thats something i cant say about too many venues/vendors that I came across when planning our wedding. They took the time to get to know us and our families, and made us feel like we were a part of theirs. Anyone considering booking this venue, DO IT! I HIGHLY recommend!! And if anyone has any questions about our experience please contact me, i vouch for this venue 1,000%.

  My fiancé and I just recently became engaged about a month ago. We knew we wanted to get married at a winery with great views and large enough to accommodate our large family. We also wanted a place where we could both get ready on the site. It ended up being that and so much more. We came here today planning on ONLY getting a tour and to later visit other wineries. But instead we ended up booking our wedding!! We are so excited and can not wait to work with Melissa and Preston. They treated us like family. Melissa was so helpful and was able to answer all of our questions. We did asked the owners about the yelp reviews below considering we set our wedding date during the rainy season. They had nothing to hide and were willing to answer any questions or doubts we had about booking after reading these horrible reviews. Its unfortunate what happened to the wedding down below. Thank goodness the rain cleared up for you all and it does sound like everything went smoothly with all things considering. It seems like it was a good idea to get a tent after all because it does get pretty cold during this time. But in my eyes it is totally worth it. There is always two sides to every story. I can't imagine two people like Preston and Melissa trying to do anything to jeopardize someones special day. They said that they are willing to help us in anyway possible when our big day comes. We ended up spending the entire day here because we liked it so much!! This place is truly a hidden gem. Thank you again Melissa and Preston! 5 starts to you both and this beautiful place! I can't wait to get married here!

  Excellent Wedding Venue

  Melissa and Preston are awesome, and the venue is absolutely beautiful. All of our guests raved about the views and how friendly the staff was throughout the wedding. We lived that there were no noisy roads or complaining neighbors, just open vineyard and ranches surrounding the venue. We are so grateful to have found such a nice place and such amazing people. I will 100% recommend to everyone I know!

  Hanford Ranch Winery is an absolute georgeous Wedding venue. I got married October 21,2017 and couldn't have picked a better place. Melissa and Preston are the absolute nicest people I have dealt with in the Wedding industry. Very professional and accommodating. There was a chance that the weather wouldn't coporate, however they were there to help and make recommendations. Hanford Ranch also had many different wedding ceremony sites to pick from on the property and you truly couldn't go wrong with either one, truly beautiful. The property over looks a cattle pasture and vineyards, sun sets are absolutely beautiful!! If I had to do this all over again I would still choose Hanford Ranch winery 110%!!

  Best wedding decision made!!!
  As a type A, controlling and very caring made of honor to my best friend and my sister, I wanted to make sure she got the best wedding venue possible because incredible people should get incredible venues, right?
  My sister lives across the country but was getting married in CA so my mom and I did most of the planning. Choosing Hanford Ranch WInery was by far one of the BEST decisions we made with wedding planning. Melissa & Preston are not only professional and super easy to work with because of their immaculate communication skills, they also quickly treat you like family rather than just another client. The detail and attention Melissa & Preston gave to my whole entire family was honestly a little surprising; we weren't just another wedding and paycheck to them.
  Now in regards to the actual venue itself, words cannot do it justice! It is beyond the most elegant adjective you can think of. Everything about this venue is absolutely perfect. A gorgeous setting with a perfect view of the sunset daily with a glass of fine wine in one hand and the person you love at the other doesn't get any better but here.
  "As a mother, every part of you wants to give your children, especially your first born, everything they deserve. With my oldest daughter I knew that would be tough becuase she has done so much for me and even helped raise her siblings while I was at work. However, with Hanford Ranch Winery, I was able to exceed her dream wedding!"
  This venue, along with Melissa & Preston deserves 10 out of 5 stars as they are beyond amazing!

After scheduling a viewing, within minutes of arriving, Hanford Winery was the perfect venue for Veronica and Jaime’s wedding. The gardens speak for themselves as a stunning back drop, and unlike so many other wedding venues, you don’t feel like you’re on a conveyor belt with the next wedding lined up after you.   Melissa and Preston offer a beautiful, unique, hidden gem just outside Sacramento. We booked our September 2015 wedding with them and they have been so helpful and kind. We love the views, the rustic feel, and the opportunity to feel like we're a million miles away when we're really only 10 miles outside of Elk Grove.

The location was a complete surprise, a beautiful hillside rising from the surrounding flat vineyards and farmlands with 360 degree views. The attention to detail, warmth, charm and desire to please that Melissa and Preston give their clients is over the top.

  I am very happy that hanfor ranch winery was the place that my husband and I picked to celebrate our wedding! Our wedding was a dream come true at this place! Everything was beautiful and our guest kept on complementing on how gorgeous this place is! Melissa and Preston were amazing to work with!

  First off, I am not one to write a review about a few mishaps, especially about a new establishment,but on second thought, it would be a bit unfair not to share my experience working with Melissa and Preston.
  Initially we chose this venue because of the beautiful, plush landscape and spectacular panoramic views of the vineyards. We initially had the impression that the owners would be wonderful to work with. Our other main deciding factor for choosing Hanford Ranch was that we were going to be able to buy our own beer and beverages. The initial price was the other.
  
  Issues started two months before the wedding until our wedding day.
  
  -Changed beverage deal on us even though it was stated in the contract that we can bring our own alcoholic beverage.
  -Told us that we should email them a list of responsibilities that their staff will do but then forgot what they promised and denied ever saying this.
  -Two months before the wedding, offered us their living room for the bridal quarters and the bus as the groom quarters but then forgot what they said.Melissa acted really mad and annoyed that my bridesmaids and I were getting ready in her living room. She let her two dogs roam, growling and barking waking my baby up.
  -Did not follow the contract regarding setup, breakdown and cleanup. Melissa did not have a breakdown crew or a clean up crew. She just hovered over us, telling us what to do.
  
  Both my husband and I were so confused and frustrated on our wedding day. We just had to take a deep breath, forget about the frustrations and enjoy our beautiful wedding. If I had to work with them again, I would put everything they say in writing and have the contract in my hand.

  -Two months before the wedding, offered us their living room for the bridal quarters and the bus as the groom quarters but then forgot what they said.Melissa acted really mad and annoyed that my bridesmaids and I were getting ready in her living room. She let her two dogs roam, growling and barking waking my baby up.
  -Did not follow the contract regarding setup, breakdown and cleanup. Melissa did not have a breakdown crew or a clean up crew. She just hovered over us, telling us what to do.
  
  Both my husband and I were so confused and frustrated on our wedding day. We just had to take a deep breath, forget about the frustrations and enjoy our beautiful wedding. If I had to work with them again, I would put everything they say in writing and have the contract in my hand.
  

  Hanford Ranch Winery's reply:

  Upon the bride’s arrival at Hanford Ranch Winery on June 27, 2015 at approximately 12:30 PM, HRW was informed that the bride wanted to utilize the grooms den for herself and her bridesmaids. Hanford Ranch Winery graciously, yet unexpectedly opened the groom’s den (Prevost Tour Bus) and needed to start the generators. When the client plugged in their curling irons and hair dryers, they did not work (the electricity in the tour bus has an automatic time delay of seven-10 minutes). The client was instantly irritated and then asked HRW if she could move to the house. Hanford Ranch Winery, once again, graciously allowed the use of their home and accompanied the bride and her bridesmaids to their home. Hanford Ranch Winery was at the clients’ mercy and forced to allow the bride to utilize their home. The “bride’s quarters” was not prepared for the client due to their lack of knowledge of her arrival. HRW offered an immense amount of flexibility that day in that their home was inaccessible for five hours and provided full access and use of their home to the bride and others.
  
  The bride’s quarters when used as such, is for the SOLE USE of the bride and bridesmaids. On June 27, 2015, the HRW home was taken over not only by the bride and groom and their wedding party, but also, by various family members, several friends and photographers. Multiple people were constantly in and out of their home throughout the duration of the bride’s prep time. This was not part of the agreement, and in effect, the use of the HRW home did not have fees associated with it.
