  Unique, flexible, on budget

  Having never planned a wedding before, the harry parker boathouse and community rowing inc was wonderful to work with. We worked with Carlie and Shawn, and both were very helpful throughout the whole process. The venue was unique, flexible, and on budget for what we wanted, and we would be happy to work with CRI again.
  
  The dock? So lovely. The tent? Very fun. The community room/upstairs space? Also very fun-- we had a slideshow in the background, and plenty of room for dancing and dinner.
  I loved how we were allowed to bring in catering/vendors of our choice, without having to be tied into a venue's set of contracted vendors or a hotel's specific food staff. Also, a comment specific to Boston, the large parking lot on site was great, while still being relatively close to the city. Many other unique places that I looked at were either very expensive for the amount of time you could rent it out or expensive for the people capacity, and/or they were very inflexible about catering or other vendors. My husband was also really worried about being either too hot in the summer, or potentially getting rained on, so less expensive options with less protection from the elements were nixed by him. The harry parker boathouse really met all of our needs (bride: unique venue and flexible catering options; groom: within budget, have option if it is too hot or too rainy, and not be super far from city).
  
  All in all, I am very happy with how the venue looks in the photos, how we were able to transform the spaces to our own liking, and how it felt more relaxed/comfortable for me and my now husband. The boats also gave our guests something else to talk about, so out of towners could hear more about the regatta and rowing and how community rowing does a lot for the community.

  The Harry Parker Boathouse is a unique and beautiful space to get married. The venue can be customized to meet any bride and groom's needs. We got married outside on the dock, had a cocktail hour in the beautiful space between the main boathouse and the sculling boathouse, and then had our reception upstairs. Theresa Fitzpatrick and her team completely transform the space from a workout gym into a beautiful event venue. Theresa is responsive, efficient, and reasonable. She is no-nonsense and so helpful to have on site the day of to help execute all of the little details. She did several walk throughs with me, my family, and my vendors. I really appreciated her attention to detail and loved getting married at the boathouse!

  The boathouse was an incredible location. We were looking for a venue that would be appropriate for both a ceremony and reception, close enough to the airport since we had a number of out-of-town guests coming in, parking, and beautiful! Not a lot to ask for right? :) We found that with the boathouse. From my first conversation with Sharanya, the boathouse coordinator, I felt in good hands and taken care of! Sharanya responded promptly to emails, addressed any concerns and helped to trouble shoot some issues that came up. Guests raved about how peaceful and beautiful the location was. Truly an amazing spot and I am so grateful we were able to book it. Make sure to book early! There's isn't a kitchen on premises, so something to think about when you're booking the space.

  Working with the event coordinators was easy and they were very flexible to our needs. Because we had people in the area and others were coming from out of town, they were willing to meet with each group and show us the facilities.

  The Harry Parker Boathouse, which is the home to a super nonprofit called Community Rowing, was a gorgeous place to get married and host our reception. The price was totally reasonable for Boston and the staff were fantastic to work with (flexible, pretty responsive. We rented the main reception room (a 3000 sq ft room that overlooks the water), the boat bay (for cocktail hour), and got married right behind the building by the water under some birch trees. Our guests loved the venue, particularly with its unique, modern-take-on-a-tobacco-barn look. Only trouble came with the weather, which spiked from 60 degrees a few days earlier to 85, which made for some hot guests (we had about 150). Open all the windows rather than trying to rely on the AC. Also, given the boathouse is not a wedding factory (which is what we wanted... plus our event fees went to their adaptive and inner-city rowing programs), just know that it might take a few days to get everything squared away and that a day-of-coordinator could be a good investment.

  The folks at CRI were incredibly easy and pleasant to deal with and the venue was just fabulous for the clambake rehearsal dinner we had. The only difficulty was that many guests had difficulty locating it, since there is not a prominent sign visible from the road, and its address does not work with many GPS units. However, everyone eventually got there and had an incredible time.
