Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club Reviews

Heritage Country Club near McKinney Texas was the best choice of our entire wedding plans and experience. The club offered a large ballroom for our dancing needs and extended even further for all the tables we needed for our guests, dinner and bar. We used the stage for flower displays and their large screen was perfect for our slide show and videos. The food was provided by their on-site restaurant services and we continue to hear from our friends about the delicious meal selections for the appetizers and dinner. The building was beautiful inside and out, with many flowers and a huge Pecan tree to take additional photo of us and our wedding party.
Most of all, our plans and execution for this venue were addresses meticulously by Patty Wake. She was the perfect hostess, planner and helped us understand the best layouts for tables, cake displays, DJ, etc. She even helped us with our schedule at the venue to plan each activity down to the minute. She is absolutely perfect for this complexity of wedding venue planning and services. Thank you so much for making our wedding absolutely perfect in every way. Patty and the Heritage Ranch team was very helpful and responsive. We had to push our event date back a few months, which also was a last minute change. They were able to accommodate this easily and without any additional fees.

The food was excellent, the space fit all the guests comfortably and still left plenty of room to dance! We had such a great time and would recommend considering having your wedding or event here.

This venue was fantastic! From the beginning, Patty-the event coordinator, was on top of communication, had answers to all my questions and it made for a perfectly smooth evening. We had booked here for an original date during 2020, and had to reschedule twice. Every step Patty was kind and they offered us a new date without penalty or even a refund, something several of our friends did not experience with their venues. When it came time to throw our party, Party was there and responsive as ever. We chose this venue because I would actually hear back from Patty, and I never regretted it!

The day of Patty and her team were ready and I and my bridesmaids barely had to lift a finger to set up. Everything went smoothly, and our room had snacks and drinks!

The rest of the timeline went great, the food was delicious (my friends are still talking about it) and they have a great dance floor.

If you want a venue that knows what they are doing and is gorgeous and well kept, this is your place.

My daughter married on April 2, 2022. Patty was an absolute gem to work with. She patiently answered all questions in a timely way, and she stayed by our side throughout the wedding day preparations and ultimately the fantastic reception. The food was outstanding and the service incomparable. Patty obviously knows knows her business! We searched throughout the North Dallas Area for an elegant yet reasonable venue, and we could not have made a better choice. Our guests remarked over and over how perfect it was! Liz F.

Patty is the reason why we picked this venue. I went to every club in the DFW area and she is by far the best. She was accommodating even during covid. We are so happy we went with this venue and you wont regret it!

We absolutely loved our experience with Patty and Heritage Ranch. When we priced them with other nearby vendors, they less by far, but also a higher quality than the others. The food was amazing, the venue is beautiful, and the service was perfect. Definitely book your event/wedding here. You will not be disappointed.

Okay this review is going to be lengthy! We are married at Heritage Ranch on 7/6/19 and it was perfect.

First off, the drive up to the venue is very pretty. It's in a private residential area and you check in at a gate with a guard so it feels very fancy. Then you drive down a long path with water features, ponds, pretty houses, and well-maintained grass. Since it is a golf course the grass is very lush and manicured.

The parking lot is huge and there's a covered drop off area at the front doors which is very convenient for guests. Speaking of the front doors, they have gorgeous ornamental iron rods and are very tall and grand. Oh, and the drop off area has a big star on the pavement so it is not just concrete it is decorated. There are so many details like this that make the venue next level in my opinion.


The layout of the venue itself is very functional. We opted to rent out the whole thing (cafe and bar area for cocktail hour, outside ceremony space underneath 100 year old pecan tree, and the balloon). Each space flows in and out to the next space very well. The get ready rooms were very big although I would critique there were not enough mirrors so we brought our own. However, one of the get ready spaces has 2 pool tables, access to a bar, and an additional cafe area. The ballroom itself is very spacious and the dance floor is huge!! I visited many venues and this place had the largest dance floor. There's a stage in the ballroom where we seated the wedding party. It was nice that we were elevated so that way all the guests could get a good view of us at the party. It was like no one had a bad seat in the house!

So I am also a theatre person and this ballroom had a cool lighting set up! They even have an elegant gobo to sign on the back wall of the stage so it doesn't even need much decoration.

The food is made in house by the country club chefs and IT WAS AMAZING. We chose the braised beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, veggies, and the chicken penne. It was came with salad, fruit display, and cheese and cracker display for cocktail hour. We decided to add some meatballs and bruschetta a la carte for cocktail hour too. (We added those hot apps the week before the wedding and the venue was super accommodating with this last-minute add on). So many people said they loved the food.

We were able to drop off our decorations 2 days before the event in boxes which made the day of the wedding less stressful. The venue has a supply of their own decorations which we were able to use too! This included: votive candle holders, high top tables for cocktail hour area, square 12'x12' mirrors for ballroom table centerpieces, easels for signage (seating chart, welcome to our wedding, etc), and a giant floral centerpiece at the entrance/foyer table. Renting or buying high top tables and easel would've been very expense so the fact the venue provided them made it more all inclusive! And they have linens too for all the tables! The outdoor ceremony chairs are very nice and white too.

Additionally, they set up everything ahead of schedule. We were supposed to arrive to the venue at 2pm on wedding day to decorate but I received an email the day before letting me everything was ready! This meant I could get there even earlier! The day went by so smoothly with no bumps. Time management was excellent there which was soooo important to me.

Okay now let me tell you about Patty the venue coordinator. She is the nicest and very professional. I emailed her far too many times and she was always quick with a well-informed reponse. She never made me feel bad for all my many questions and to do lists. Patty was very organized and knowledgable. She was present the day of the wedding and made sure everything was on track all with a positive attitude.


Please go see this place in person and grab lunch there. It was amazing and we are so happy with our decision in this venue.

I was able to have the wedding of my dreams here. Everything exceeded my expectations. The beautiful ballroom was perfect for 150 people. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and we were able to lots of beautiful pictures, especially at sunset. All our guests loved the venue and for the price I don't think you can find anything comparable in the DFW area. I looked around for a while and was very disappointed with the choices. The moment we stepped into Heritage Ranch and talked to the coordinator, Patty, we knew it was the place for us. Patty did an amazing job at coordinating everything and would respond almost immediately to all my emails and questions. I'm very thankful we found this venue. We had a great time at our wedding and a lot of it was because we didn't have to worry about the logistics, the staff at heritage ranch took care of all the little details. The food and beverage minimums are very reasonable and so is the rental fee. Awesome find!

For us, Heritage Ranch was the perfect spot for our wedding! We looked at several different venues, but found that this seemed to be the best value and offered the most convenience for a couple like us. You are able to check so many things off your list at one time, and their events coordinator, Patty, was exceptional! She was incredibly organized and knowledgable. On our actual wedding night, she stayed with us well into the event to ensure that everything was just how we wanted it. She coordinated with our other vendors and helped to give us a beautiful evening. I would highly recommend!!

Very pleased with Heritage Ranch as a venue for our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was attentive. We were especially pleased with our event coordinator, Patty, who worked closely with us before and during the event to make sure everything went well.

Patty and her team are the definition of professional. She does everything to ensure you have not forgotten details and helped us accommodate ideas that made our wedding day a true dream come true. Patty was there to greet guests and stayed to help coordinate the reception timeline. The food and drinks were fantastic! The amount of guests we had made for a beautiful and intimate atmosphere. From the moment we walked in the reception we were greeted by Patty and was amazed that all our ideas unfolded as planned thanks to her and the Heritage Ranch team!

Patty Wake and her staff at Heritage Ranch did an amazing job for my daughter's December wedding reception. The food, the ballroom, and her attentive staff were wonderful. Patty helped us every step of the way - so much so, we were glad we did not hire a wedding planner. She gave us ideas for decorating, helped us with food choices, and returned our calls and emails almost immediately. The day of the reception, she greeted guests and made everyone feel welcome. Our guests were so complimentary of all the staff, and the food was delicious. At the end of the evening, her staff organized and gathered all of our decorations, so picking everything up the next day was easy and quick. It was a beautiful evening thanks to her, and we would highly recommend this venue for your wedding reception.

This venue is absolutely beautiful! We could not have asked for a better coordinator! Patty was so responsive. She had great suggestions because we had no idea what we were doing. Heritage made our day so amazing!

This place is a perfect place for your reception if your style is a combination of country and elegance. They have a stage that made our head tables stand out and the guests did not bother us at all when we're enjoying our delicious food :D Their oversize dance floor helped the guests feel more comfortable to get on there and not feel crowded. They also have a beautiful hall for guests to sit while waiting, and a nice patio for guests to sit and take pictures. The coordinator, Patty Wake, was really easy and helpful to work with. Whenever we contacted her, she would be there or call us back at her earliest convenience. She took care of everything and sent us all the information we needed within minutes. We were really happy to have her. We had a wonderful experience with this venue!

Heritage Ranch and all of the staff there was AMAZING! Patty went way above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and running smooth day of, even finding phone chargers for some of my guests! The food was incredible, the staff made sure my husband and I ate first before getting swept up in the night, everything was so taken care of without me having to worry or stress about anything at all! I have nothing negative thing to say and no regrets about picking Heritage Ranch for my wedding, it was the absolute best!

The Heritage Ranch was a fantastic wedding venue with a rustic but elegant vibe. We had an outdoor ceremony under the stunning pecan tree which overlooks the green. Many of our guests commented on the spectacular view. Also, the tree provided enough shade so our guests didn’t melt in the unforgiving Texas heat. :) We held our reception in the sizable ballroom which was equip with a functional stage and incredible dancefloor. Catering is provided by the onsite restaurant (we chose the beef tenderloin and the chicken picatta) and the food was delicious! All of the staff were very helpful/professional and the onsite coordinator, Patty, was truly a blessing. She anticipated our questions, responded to any inquiries in a timely manner, and provided helpful suggestions based on her knowledge of the venue. She also provided useful diagrams, floorplans, and photos which were incredibly useful when trying to solidify my vision. Even when I inquired about something not readily available, she would promptly respond and provide useful tips based on experiences from other weddings. I greatly appreciated her help and guidance during the planning process as well as on our wedding day. I highly recommend this venue!

We used Heritage Ranch for our wedding and reception, and it could not have been more perfect! Patty Wake was incredible to work with - she was kind, helpful, responsive, and diligent! She ensured our event went flawlessly and looked beautiful. The venue itself is stunning (and can be decorated pretty much however you would like), and the food at the reception was delicious - our guests complimented it all evening long. My husband and I had a wonderful experience having our wedding and reception at the Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club! Patty made planning our day so easy! Our guests had nothing but compliments on the venue, food, staff, etc!

Heritage Ranch was wonderful every step of the way! With only months to plan my coordinator Patty was so accomodating and flexible regardless of my request. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my daughters big day. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue and amazing catering staff for my daughters Quinceñera then Heritage Ranch! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!....You all made her day completely magical!

Patty, the event coordinator, was so wonderful to work with! She was very responsive and took care of everything the day of! The venue and staff were also amazing and our guests continue to compliment us on how good the food was and how beautiful the venue itself was. We are so incredibly happy we had our wedding here. You won't regret it!

Unbelievable customer service is the icing on the cake for this venue. It was the perfect place for our elaborate Afghan engagement party which was as nice, maybe nicer than some weddings. The room and buffet hall are so gorgeous, but the details and ease of use at this facility is what made it perfect. The AV equipment which was included was super easy to use, we were easily able to control all the lighting and dimmers. If we needed anything, the staff was right there to help. The food was over the top delicious - and we received so many compliments on it. I just can't say enough good things. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
