    Libby, the sales manager at the Hilton Garden Inn in Blacksburg, VA is a terrific gal and knows her business. We only needed to meet with her once to get all the details laid out, but we liked her so much we met with her a second time just to enjoy her company! I know that sounds silly, but her professionalism and experience made our planning go so easily. She also assisted us with not only the location of our ceremony, the back patio of the hotel, but the personalized menu for our rehearsal dinner, reception menu, and our beautiful suite for our 2 night stay at the hotel. Whether you have your actual ceremony at this lovely hotel or plan on having your rehearsal dinner, reception and family and friends lodge there for the festivities, You will not be disappointed!     The staff service in the day of our event was fabulous. We were able to get a very reasonable prices meal that fit our small budget. The staff was attentive to our needs the space was nice and it can fit around 80-100 people. Nancy Creed is the catering director.

    The venue itself was very nice, and was a good value for what we received. The management staff was very nice and willing to work with us, but their other staff verged on rude most of the weekend. When we took our centerpieces to the front desk, like our contact instructed us to do, the staff on duty were less than receptive to what we were told to do. There were also other issues that arose with the staff that would have been a disaster had we not had a wonderful wedding planner.

    They also provided the food for our reception. The food was very good, but some dishes ran out very quickly and we were not asked if we would like to purchase more. Luckily, most of our guests had been through the line for food by that point.
