    The perfect wedding!

The Inn at Pinnacle Mountain was absolutely stunning, and I tend to use the word perfect loosely, but it was absolutely perfect. We had an out-of-state wedding since we are from Ohio and all of my family/friends kept saying how much they loved and enjoyed the views and backdrop, in which were priceless. The inn itself is very nice and neat and kept up well, very big space to accommodate a large event. Plus the newlywed suite is so adorable and was a nice place to have and such in literal close proximity to the tent for the reception and the lawn area by it for the ceremony. Everyone had something positive to say, and it gave people a chance to wander off on their own, sitting in some cool places on the property overlooking the beautiful mountain range, and you could even see Mount Washington off into the distance, and the sunset is some thing that you have to see. Jim and Julie, the owners, and their assistant staff were so accommodating and on standby 24/7 in helping with any last-minute details or changes that would need to be made. We had assistance in the procession of the ceremony, and everything went off so smoothly. I highly recommend!!

    Fantastic Experience

The view from the Inn is incredible especially during the fall season. Being able to host the wedding party at the venue helped make the event extra special as well. Both John and Mary are super supportive. John makes sure there are lot of safeties in place and Mary is easy to work with and is in constant communication.

Mary was soooo helpful especially since our wedding day had tornados predicted and we had about 4 inches of rain. It could have been a terrible day but Mary and her husband were willing to go above and beyond to help make it the most beautiful day ever. Everyone had a blast at the wedding and it is a gorgeous venue. All the guests loved it and so did we!

The view from the Inn at Pinnacle Mountain is spectacular, especially the sunsets. The view was definitely one of the top reasons why I chose the Inn, but most importantly I chose it because of John and Mary LemMon, the owners and innkeepers of this beautiful location.
Planning a wedding in Maine while living in Alabama is no easy task, but John and Mary made it so much easier. Mary had great suggestions for local vendors, such as florists, beauty salons, photographers, and bakeries. She understood my vision, even though I wasn’t always able to articulate it well. Mary was also our caterer and prepared our rehearsal dinner and the reception dinner menu - both of which were absolutely delicious! John was not only our officiant but he was also our DJ and he did a fantastic job at both! He did a wonderful ceremony, incorporating everything we wanted. Not having to look for a caterer, a DJ, and someone to marry us was a blessing.
We arrived a few days before the wedding with my parents and my Maid of Honor. When we entered there was classical music playing in different rooms and it was really relaxing. We relaxed in rocking chairs on the front porch and soaked in the hot tub every evening. All of the rooms were cozy and welcoming and the beds were equally comfortable. Our guests kept saying how beautiful everything was and what a good time they had. I did not feel stressed and it was an amazing weekend. I am so glad (and so are my husband and parents) that we chose the Inn at Pinnacle Mountain for our wedding.

This place is amazing! My hubby and I got married here in July of 2015. It was our dream wedding! The Inn and the views that surround it are so romantic. We had such a wonderful experience working with John and Mary. They were so welcoming and accommodating. Our bridal party had so much fun staying there for the weekend and all our guests were wowed. I can't even begin to explain how beautiful the views are which made pictures breathtaking! We are so lucky that we have these memories to look back at and I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a beautiful venue in the near future! I wouldn't have changed a thing.

My fiance and I rented this house for our small wedding and it was magnificent! Though we had visited the location in April to discuss our wedding with the Innkeepers (Mary & John), when we finally arrived for our actual stay in June the views were even better than they were previously. Everyone that came up and stayed with us for the weekend loved the house, the view and the relaxing atmosphere. I think every person took at least 20 pictures of the gorgeous view, but really no pictures could capture how fantastic it was in person!

The wedding itself was exactly what we wanted, a small affair with our closest family members in a gorgeous setting. Mary & John helped us in every way we needed and provided catering for our lobster bake reception. The food was absolutely delicious (our families are still craving the bacon wrapped scallops with maple dipping sauce)!

As for the house, the two of us, and both of our immediate families stayed over and fit in the house comfortably (total of 14 people). The two kids that were with us had so much fun in the pool, it was difficult to keep them out of it!

I absolutely think that we will be renting this house again, just to try to re-live such a special time in such a special place!

The Inn at Pinnacle Mountain is an incredible place to hold a wedding! We took over the entire Inn for a long weekend and had a good time with our party. Everyone was absolutely in love with the gorgeous view and mountain top majesty! I envisioned getting married in a place that screamed of Maine's natural beauty and I more than achieved my vision, even despite the freak mountain storm during my 30 minute ceremony when the rest of the day was stunning.. :/ When it comes to that moment I learned how absolutely amazing my friends/family/party are and that very little about what was going on around me mattered aside from me standing in front of my hubby to be :) I now find rain romantic at the very least! We got married on the deck, but they have the space to accommodate a lot of people in multiple areas on the property. Mary and John love what they do and are very good at it! Mary catered a post-wedding brunch for us that had people raving! They both go above and beyond to make the bride and groom happy on their special day!

Comfortable feel and laid back service

The view is breath taking and the feeling that your in the middle of nowhere leaves the weekend feeling very relaxed and remote. The area is fun to explore and the ability to have the location for an extended weekend is outstanding. The provided MC (Philip - Primo Productions) was outstanding he had equipment we rented we used the entire weekend and was perfect on the deck the night before and the "after reception" party. The venue always had someone on hand to offer assistance if needed and John and Mary were very helpful and pleasant.

We loved John and Mary and the Inn is beyond gorgeous but after dealing with the issues we wish we had chosen somewhere else to get married. a vendor working our wedding said she had planned to book her wedding there and wouldn't do it after seeing how horribly our ceremony was officiated and how bad the DJ service was. First the music for us to walk down the aisle was completely screwed up and that was a carefully chosen part of our ceremony and had deep meaning for us so before I even walked down the aisle I was crying and almost just left (I knew my husband was more important and sucked it up). John was also our DJ and had clearly not read the huge packet of info they made us fill out so he had no idea of the order of the night so that all got messed up. We were asked to choose the genres of music we like and make lists of songs to play during certain times. He played not even a quarter of the list and instead filled the night with golden oldies so everyone that had planned to stay ended up leaving. They also charge if you want them to use DJ lights which is insane and no one does that. They took it upon themselves to take the huge contractor bags full of returnable bottles that we had promised to donate to a charity (and they were all purchased by us so they had no right or reason to touch them) and they are now going on 5 weeks late returning our deposit because they have been "busy". Save yourself the hassle. I never imagined we would have to deal with this. our guests and other vendors still haven't stopped talking about how awful they did officiating and DJ'ing. If they had returned our deposit I would've let it go but after confirming we are due our entire deposit and lying to me about taking the bottles when we have 9 witnesses and pictures as well as ignoring all of our emails and calls I've had enough and want to warn other unsuspecting couples.

    Inn At Pinnacle Mountain's reply:

This is a good piece of fiction. We have thought about it carefully, and in the interest of clarity and the truth we must respond.
We have done this for over 7 years and many, many weddings, and we have never had a single complaint. Not One! Rather, we have numerous postings thanking us and complimenting us for helping to create their dream weddings. We take our reputation very seriously, so we will address these comments and let the reader decide what the truth is.
    1. "We loved John and Mary and the Inn is Gorgeous"; why would you say that if everything else you complained about is true?
    2. The vendor you are thinking about has already booked her wedding for 2019, so this is a lie.
3.We Officiated your wedding, and it was performed as you directed, however there were problems with your repeating of vows, and we had to repeat them a few times to get you to repeat them correctly.
    4. The music for the ceremony was chosen by you. We have an 8-page questionnaire that the wedding couples fill out that specifically asks for the processional music during the ceremony (name of song, and artist), and for the recessional. The questionnaire asks you to choose all the music for the event. We review this with the couples and play it during the rehearsal. This music was your choice, not ours, as you state this, so this is a lie.
    5. To almost leave your wedding because you didn’t like the music you chose for the Processional after hearing it played for the rehearsal the night before, which was practiced twice, saying it was great, makes no sense at all.
    6. We were the DJ for your wedding and played exactly the songs and music you wrote down on the 8- page questionnaire. You were the one who specified the music being played, and nothing was messed up by us.
    7. The genre of music that you chose was all country music, and what you chose could not be danced to. That is why your guests left. We did play one Golden Oldie as requested by one of your guests, “Now I’ve had the time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing. Your guest did dance to that, but we played music you wanted, and your guests chose to leave.
    8. We can provide professional DJ Services, but you had the choice to chose anyone you wanted. We can also provide a full lighting package with Lasers, Lights, strobes, fog, and special effects for dancing at an additional charge. Some couples want it, some couples don’t, it is their choice. You did not choose this package because of cost and budget. A lighting special effects is not provided for free by any DJ. This is a lie.
    9. There was a trash bag with cans and bottles, it was put out with the trash, you never told us that you wanted them. You state that you have pictures of the cans and bottles in the bag?? (Who would do this??). 1 trash bag was taken to the dump with trash. This is a lie.
    10. We require a $1,000.00 refundable damage deposit which is refunded 14 – 21 days after the event. You damage deposit was refunded, and we have the cancelled check. This is a lie.
    11. She is right about the vendors talking, but it was about her, and her behavior! You had a meltdown about your flowers and hid inside the Inn for 90 minutes typing out an email about the flowers, while you could have been with your guests in the tent. There was nothing wrong with the flowers. The dinner had to be held up until you came into the tent, which held up the caterer, and you said the food did not taste right. There was nothing wrong with dinner, and the comments from your vendors was “drama queen” and “bridezilla”, with a lot of eye rolling from your guests and vendors. We believe you were inebriated from all the alcohol you consumed in the bridal suite. Nothing would have satisfied you.
In closing, you forgot to mention a few things, because of your budget, you were not charged for Officiating, we did it for free. We also gave you a $400.00 discount on 7-hours of DJ service, because of your budget. We performed wedding coordination for free, bent over backwards to make you happy and never even got so much as a thank you to the coordinator who worked hard all day for you. There were more guests than we allow staying in the Inn, and you only paid for 16 total.
So, the question is, who do you believe? We will let the reader decide who is telling the truth. You are a very sad and unhappy person, and we feel sorry for you, but we can’t let these lies go unanswered. If we had given you the wedding for free, gave you a trip to Europe for free for your honeymoon, you probably would complain about the flight.
