  Something Ginger was fantastic to work with throughout the wedding process (engagement photos, wedding trial, and wedding itself), and I was so happy with my hair and makeup at the wedding! I can be very particular about hair and makeup, and Diana and Kimberly were so kind and patient with the small tweaks we made. They also did an amazing job with my mom and sister’s hair/makeup for the wedding itself.
  
  In addition to the services, the team is very professional and prompt with scheduling, answering questions, prep guidance, etc.

  No Better Hair and Makeup Team in NM!

  I would highly recommend the team at Something Ginger! They are extremely talented and more than exceeded my expectations plus the nicest people who were such a lovely addition to our group getting ready the day of the wedding. We had a group of 10 girls getting hair and makeup done in Santa Fe in April 2022. They had great communication and prompt replys as we prepared for our wedding and kept us on time and organized the day of! As the bride I could not have been happier with my hair and makeup and know all of the bridesmaids and mother of the bride and groom felt the same! If you're looking for an amazing hair / makeup team look no further :)

  Kata and Diana are incredible!

  I have used Something Ginger on several occasions. I wish I would have used them for my wedding because - HOLY MOLY, they always surpass my expectations! As a person of color, it is so difficult to find a reputable makeup artist. Even with my acne blemishes, Kata leaves my skin glowing, and picture-perfect! Diana is so incredibly versatile with hair. She has done braids, up-dos, long waves, short curls, she never disappoints! The two of them make an incredible team and have trained their other artists impeccably. I would highly recommend Something Ginger for your wedding, or any other occasion. You'll fall in love and use them for every event!

  I looked so amazing on my wedding day thanks to this team!

  Diana blew my expectations away for my hair and makeup! I looked like a model, and for someone who never likes being in front of the camera, I couldn't stop looking at myself. She made me look like "me"....but a fancier and best version of me! She listened to exactly what I wanted- natural, undone. I went far out there with my hair, asking for something she hadn't seen before, and we went with it during my trial and both loved the result! She trusted my vision and took it ten steps further. We chatted the whole time and now consider her a good friend! Would highly recommend Diana and her team any day :)

  Beautiful Wedding Makeup

  Kata was amazing for my two-day wedding celebration in Santa Fe. My makeup was honestly flawless both days. She also did an amazing job on all 5 of my bridesmaids and my mom. They couldn't stop talking about how much they loved their makeup and how long it lasted. I would highly recommend her!!

  Having Kata as a MUA for my wedding was the best decision and money spent for the day I will always remember. I found the natural makeup look I wanted so badly, and much more.
  Her professionalism and knowledge was incredible, and she was always willing to share tips, and answer questions as the wedding approached. The makeup trial was fun, and she prepared for it by asking days before the trial for a picture of me and looks I was interested in, this made me feel like she really cared for me as a client and she was really trying to maximize the experience and provide the service I wanted. During the trial, she encouraged me to request changes if I wasn't happy. But truly, I was blown away. The day of my wedding she worked so hard and made all of us look so beautiful, she remembered exactly what I wanted! It was perfect.

  KATA IS AMAZING! I went through three other trials for my wedding and thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown - no offense but everyone else had some vision of what they think is typical bridal and couldn't think outside the box. I was so relieved when I saw Kata's portfolio and I was psyched that she was available for my dates. She did two different looks for me on two different days (courthouse ceremony, then glamorous reception) and I got so many compliments. She also did makeup for my bridal party (completely at the last minute but she was so cool about it), and they look incredible in our photos!

I came across an Instagram account by name of The Pretty Committee, and right then and there I began stalking Kata Baron online. Not in a crazy way… I was just beyond impressed with her work and the way she expressed herself. You could see that she was a true artist deep down. I then scheduled my first appointment with her. I was blown away by her work, she made me feel pretty. Sometimes when I get my make-up done, I’m like I guess I look okay… Not with her. I felt so comfortable with her and knew she would be the right choice for our special day. I then went on to use her services for almost every occasion possible. I just love getting my makeup done by her. Kata not only did my wedding makeup, she also did Dia Del Los Muertos face painting during our reception. She did an outstanding job the whole night.
