Beautiful venue with an amazing staff!
We had an excellent experience hosting our wedding at Kuiper's Family Farm! The venue is gorgeous and perfect for a fall wedding. The staff was friendly, professional, and able to accommodate our various requests to create our picture perfect day! Would definitely recommend Kuiper's Family Farm for your wedding! -

The starting of forever memories
My husband and I got married at Kuipers on 7/17/2021, so that being said I took a long time to write this review because I really wanted to sit and reflect to be able to write something so perfect.
My husband and I are very low key people or least we like to think we are. We booked with Kuipers on 03/2019 and then covid happened. Nick Meyers kept us sane. Half of this post alone could be about how wonderful he is. When we found out that Illinois was implementing phases, we knew that the wedding we wanted wouldn't happen the way that we wanted it to. Nick immediately answer any questions and helped us pick a new date, one year from our first date. We were kept in the loop and got to enjoy the benefit that came from covid such as an outside bar.
One of reasons we picked this venue is it fits the mold of a barn wedding, yet has the safety and security of a wedding that would have been held in a reception hall i.e., air conditioning in the middle of a midwest summer. The Main reason we picked Kuipers is because you can continue to make memories at your venue well after your wedding. When we choose to have kids we can take them back year after year to the place we got married and started our lives as husband and wife. How often do you get to go back to your venue and do this?
When it comes down to the details it is simple and timeless and honestly doesn't even need much decorations, because the venue speaks for itself. It is also all inclusive, which means that we didn't have to figure out tables, chairs, linens, food (and wedding cake), center pieces, etc. They provided signs that they already had as well and have a million and one places for photos to be taken.
The staff was amazing. Everyone was incredibly friendly (we even got some to dance with us by the end of the night)! We were able to make some last minute chances (2 weeks before the wedding).
Honestly I could go on and on about how perfect this venue was to us. It made our dreams come true and is a venue that will have your guest talking about for awhile! -

I can't recommend Kuiper's Family Farm for your wedding venue enough. I found them through The Knot, immediately reached out because it looked so cute, and once I talked to Nick and toured the venue I couldn't say no. This place was better than I could've dreamed. Nick in particular went above and beyond, doing more than I would've expected to make our wedding day perfect. I didn't have a care in the world on the wedding day because Nick and his team took care of everything, down to our tiniest details and requests. He met with us multiple times leading up to the day, allowed us to set up and hold our rehearsal dinner at the venue the day before, provided us with tons of free decorations, tore everything down completely on the wedding night, and always responded to my emails quickly and by answering every one of my million questions! He was just so great to work with and such a joy. Not to mention the venue is absolutely GORGEOUS. If you have any doubts at all about booking with this venue, erase them immediately and go with it! I don't think I have enough room to write how much I loved this venue. Nick is truly one of the best people in the business. He made everything so easy and stress-free. Here were just a few of the highlight:
-He worked within our budget (HUGE!!)
- Whenever I had a question or concern, he would respond almost immediately with an answer or solution.
-He never made me feel crazy when presented with some of my out there ideas
-HE WAS AN ANGEL TO MY FAMILY--who was quite difficult at times
-He was present the whole day-whenever anyone needed him-he was there
-He allowed me to bring stuff throughout the week so we were less stressed the morning of with bringing stuff over.
-I was so nervous about not hiring a wedding coordinator, but with Nick we truly did not need one.
-He has an amazing staff that helps set up and break things down at the end of the night.
The food was PHENOMENAL-people were absolutely in love with it (get the pot roast). There was 2 fully stocked bars-one inside, one outside. The donut bar was such a huge hit. The venue was so gorgeous it brought so many tears to my eyes-truly exceeded my expectations. There was SO much to do in addition to dancing and eating-a bon fire, so many scenic places to go on walks, bags, and SO MANY AREAS to hang out. We had back up plans and backup plans to the backup plans. Truly I have not one bad thing to say!!!!! The best part about this venue is that we do apple picking here every fall, so we still have so many more memories to make in our life ahead at Kuipers. :)Kuipers Orchard Weddings by Fishermen's Inn's reply:

If you are looking for a beautiful indoor/outdoor venue with the most flexible, kind and helpful staff ever.. then Kuipers is your venue!! Due to COVID-19, my husband and I split our wedding up. In November 2020 Kuipers let us host a 10-person ceremony and dinner with our parents and siblings so that we could still get married on our original wedding date. They also worked with us to plan a reception the following year as our Anniversary Celebration!! Both events turned out absolutely wonderful and we are forever grateful for Kuipers patience, guidance and cooperation. The aesthetic at Kuipers is simple, elegant, rustic and cozy. My husband and I, as well as our guest, had a wonderful time and enjoyed talking with the staff members throughout the night. For dinner we had pot roast, chicken, roasted carrots and Mac-n-cheese.. *chef's kiss* ... AMAZING! The donuts are always delicious and the donut sundae bar was a huge hit! Kuipers was the most amazing wedding venue. I searched the Chicagoland area for a venue that would not only hold 250 people or more but be on a tighter budget. I was amazing with the venue at Kuipers. We were disappointed that they only had Friday dates available for us but it was so worth it. The venue from day 1 was so focused on what we wanted for our day and making the process as easy as possible. They were always understanding and flexible for EVERYTHING!!!! The food here was amazing as well. For someone who has attended an obscene amount of weddings with a very large family on both my side and my husbands we were sick of the typical reception. This venue was so much fun for everyone. There are so many different options to choose from and places for people to be. Each area is so unique. The day of planner Kathy, was the most amazing person to work with. I have never met a person who tried so incredibly hard to make sure every moment ran smoothly and went well. She thought of everything and took care of every single little detail I missed. The staff was truly amazing. We received so many compliments on the venue after our wedding on how amazing it looked and what a cool place it was. Tim Sent on 07/16/2018My heart bursts when I think about our wedding day at Kuipers Family Farm on June 30, 2018. I was planning my wedding from Los Angeles and so I needed a venue that was going to be very responsive, flexible and reasonably priced. Kuipers was all that and more. They allowed us to have the property for the whole day which was very rare when looking at venues. We were the only wedding taking place at the property and the venue has everything you could need - didn't need any extra rentals. The venue is HUGE and our guests were able to play corn-hole, take a train ride around the property, sit by the fire pit, or dance in the barn. There was so much to do and see and the property is beyond beautiful so your pictures will be stunning (attached a few of mine but haven't gotten them all back yet). I really think our wedding is going to stick out in all of our guests' minds as one of the best weddings they have ever been to. The staff at Kuipers was super helpful and friendly - it was all so easy with them, which took a huge load off my shoulders. You will remember this day for the rest of your lives and Kuipers will make it perfect!

Carolyn Sent on 09/22/2019From initial meeting to the end of the day of the wedding we had 100% satisfaction and amazing customer service!
We had looked at several places with our Daughter and Son in law before coming to Kuipers. While in the car after the initial meeting my Daughter said this it it! We agreed it was far more appealing then others we visited for the total ease at the meeting with no hard sell to the beautiful grounds. Up to the day of the wedding we were able to make certain changes without feeling we were annoying them. They made it clear it was our Daughters wedding and they truly wanted the best experience for their day. Kathy and the entire team were amazing keeping everything on schedule and keeping everyone happy. So many guests commented on what a wonderful place and event it was. Athena Sent on 01/10/2015So far so amazing! I have been working with Al since the engagement and Kuipers has been an absolute dream to work with, not to mention is a gorgeous venue. We are getting married in Virgil and will be having our reception at Kuipers. I am planning my wedding from Virginia and they have been so accommodating and helpful with the process and working with our budget. We did a tasting with Upper Crust Catering, who is their caterer at this venue and the food was phenomenal! Working with them has been a breeze and has made planning stress free from afar! I will follow up after the big day! -

I really enjoyed that they basically took care of everything for us. We didn't worry about the cake, food, plates, table, etc. We had so many compliments on our venue & location. Our guests loved that we had the farm to ourselves and that it wasn't just another banquet hall.
If you're thinking about booking your wedding there - just do it! You will not regret it! The team is amazing & I would work with them again in a heartbeat!

We worked with Al prior to the day of the wedding where Cathy helped with the day of wedding details. They were so friendly, extremely accommodating, and very professional!! We loved everything about the day/night and highly recommend checking it out. The pictures are going to be stunning with the apple orchard in the background. We received so many compliments on the venue and can't wait until we can attend a wedding there as a guest.

L Sent on 08/29/2016We wish we could celebrate our daughter's wedding again! And we would definitely return to Kuiper's Family Farm.
So many friends and family said it was the most fun and unique wedding they had attended.
The location and facilities were truly perfect-you get the feel of a rustic working farm but with the amenities of a more traditional setting ie. ac, bathrooms, sound system... that you have to truck in for other barn venues.
The silo bar was a big hit and the bartenders do a great job of having cocktails ready to go on the terrace immediately after the ceremony.
Our only reason for less than a perfect score was there were a few problems with the food. However, Al Shelton, the manager, did his very best to rectify the situation. Al and Kathy are two of the hardest working people we've ever met and went above and beyond with their dedication to please us. You really don't have to worry about anything with them at the helm.
