My husband and I found Lauren online after weeks of considering photography options in the greater-Edinburgh area. We had stumbled upon a blog of a former client of Lauren McGlynn that linked to her website. As soon as we looked through her recent work, we knew that we had found a photographer whose original images we'd love for a lifetime.
Lauren did a terrific job keeping up with me after our initial contact, and coming from abroad, this was the smoothest part of our arrangements for Scotland. She made all the necessary reservations for our travel to Seacliff in North Berwick and was an invaluable source of information for places we hoped to visit in Edinburgh and Glasgow the remainder of our stay.
The photography shoot itself was extremely fun and relaxed. Seacliff, Lauren's recommendation, was breath-taking, and Lauren knew the space well so as to get the most incredible images. Before the shoot, I was a little nervous about posing and worried that this nervousness would show in the final presentation, but Lauren took care to demonstrate how we could position ourselves, while giving us the space to show our natural personalities. Lauren is so friendly and funny that we spent most of the time laughing and enjoying ourselves. It felt like working with someone we had both known for a long time.
Looking at our final product, my husband and I--as well as our families--are delighted. The lighting, composition, and mood are exactly what we had in mind. Lauren spent a lot of time communicating with me to understand what I was hoping for, and her investment in me shows in her work. We haven't seen anything like our photographs, and I couldn't be prouder of them!
