    Having had many photo shoots in the past, I can give a pretty informed opinion on my experience with Louis Lucas photography. Its the photographers job to make you feel comfortable and beautiful in order to capture stunning pictures, and he did just that. You knew what pose, position, and movement would compliment us, our event, and our family. So easy to work with and you could tell he enjoyed being in the moment and was working hard on taking quality photos without distracting us from enjoying our event. I highly recommend Louis Lucas to anyone. This video slide he put together for us brought everyone to tears, including our five year old, that should say a lot!

    Louis was wonderful to work with. He had several creative ideas for photo shoots. Louis made us feel so comfortable we often forgot someone was photographing us as we laughed and played together. Louis is very professional and the photos we received are AMAZING. We were surprised and delighted at how he captured the feelings of love and joy we experienced that day. We feel so blessed to have found Louis! We consider him a friend.

    So much FUN! The photos we have seen are so incredibly beautiful and truly captured our special day. What impressed me the most was Louis' ability to easily make us relax and have fun. He made our wedding even more memorable and then captured every giggle, grin and smooch. I'm going to spend a fortune on frames for all of these amazing photos!

    I contacted Louis of Louis Lucas Photography prior to our trip to St. John to schedule a family photo session while we were there on vacation. He promptly called me back, explained everything in detail, understood what I was looking for and made it so easy for me. On the day of the photo session, Louis was waiting for us when our family of 9 arrived at the scheduled time at Hawk's Nest beach. Louis made the hour-long session fun and relaxed, and he was very receptive to our requests. Getting 9 people including 3 children ages 1, 3 and 9 all focused to get good photos was no small task, but the results are absolutely beautiful!! We couldn't be more pleased with our family photos! If you are looking for an outstanding, professional photographer, Louis Lucas is your man. I can only hope he is still available when we take our next family trip to St. John!

    Louis Lucas was amazing!! He was prompt, friendly, professional, and created amazing photos for us! Very importantly, he sent us two electronic sets of photos within only a couple of weeks after the wedding. The photos are all beautiful, and he helped us pose during the shoot to get some of the classic photos that every bride wants. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend him to any future brides and grooms!!

    Louis Lucas is a wonderful human being. I sent him an email and he called almost immediately to chat about my destination wedding. He offered suggestions and was extremely flexible. He was so sweet with me as I called often to inquire about different things before we flew to St. John. And the day of the event, he was so wonderful - he practically fit in with my family - he let us be funny and was patient with us as we took time for various things. We spent a lot of time going to different places on the island (many at his suggestion) and captured some amazing pics (posed and unposed moments). We loved our portfolio of pictures. I highly recommend this wonderful man - he is a gem and you will not be disappointed.

    Louis Lucas was an amazing videographer! He captured all the important moments, and created an AMAZING video. He is very friendly and professional. I've been to weddings before where all you could focus on what the photographer/videographer who was right in the middle of all the action. Louis Lucas did a great job "blending in" so that no one even noticed he was there. I highly recommend him!

    Louis Lucas Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. They are extremely professional and work extremely hard to capture every moment. They have an eye for detail and a vision that they bring to life in the final product.     My family recently spent a week at the Westin on St. John's USVI. To remember this wonderful experience we contacted Mr. Lucas to photograph our entire family. The photos were beautiful!!! The weather, the beach and the best part was the friendliness and professionalism Mr. Lucas showed us. He was wonderful with my three children and had the patience to wait to capture my babies at their best. I would recommend Louis Lucas Photography to any family looking for photographic memories of their vacation or to any bride for a gorgeous keepsake for her most memorable day. Thank you again Mr. Lucas for the lasting memory of our family and trip!

    Robert did both our wedding and engagement photos. He is great at putting you at ease during photoshoots and suggesting small adjustments to make the perfect memories.

    We love our photos and are so happy to have worked with Robert on our special day. We have so many amazing shots to choose from now!

    ...And Lucas's photo slideshow was a huge hit with our guests and friends/family that missed our wedding. He picked out the same song we'd walked down the aisle to, and included that as a background on our slideshow. It was such a thoughtful, special touch.

    Mr. Lucas was very flexible with us and hIs photography was top notch. He saved us from disaster the morning of the wedding, taking duties from our sick videographer. We couldn't have asked for someone better.

    Thank you so much for an amazing family photo session!! After looking at the photos, I couldn't find one I didn't love. I've encountered a lot of different photographers over the years when I was a wedding coordinator and by far Louis Lucas is the BEST! Lucas directed us to the best location for a sun set photo session, he had the timing of the sunset perfectly timed with our shots and was amazing with keeping my son interested in making the each photo great. We are looking forward to doing this again next year!!

    The event was actually a family vacation, but that was not an available choice. Robert Lucas did a wonderful job. He was professional, punctual, dependable, and seemed to take a personal interest in meeting our expectation. We highly recommend him.

    I was saddened to have read a review that warrants a positive rebuttal. It is very easy to hurt one\\\'s hard work and service with harsh statements that have no detail or specifics. As such, I would not hesitate to articulate for the fear of deviating from the correct path of rectitude in response to my experience. A previous review (January Archive - Louis Lucas Photography) was already shared with Mr. Lucas, and I would hope that sharing it here will allow the readers who are wanting their search for the perfect experience to see that there are by far more positive reviews on Mr. Lucas, versus the one review that doesn\\\'\\\'t seem to fit his professionalism. TRUSTing Mr. Lucas is what was done. As a result, the outcome was immeasurable!!

    We received the most wonderful honeymoon/trash the dress pictures and couldn't be happier. He was a joy to work with and knew exactly where we should go for our pictures. He was super fast to get us our pictures, we were able to meet up with him later in the week to receive the disk of all our images. The next time we vacation in St. John we will definitely get pictures taken with him again!

    I contacted Louis Lucas Photography after hearing that my husband's work had chosen the Westin St. John for the annual COE trip. The first and only recommendation was Louis Lucas Photography, so I knew that he must be good!!!


    I got married four years ago, but my photographs left me so disappointing. As a photographer myself, pictures are REALLY important to me. I was so tired of going about my daily business and not having really memorable photographs of my own husband and I to display. The COE trip was the best opportunity I had to retake my wedding photographs of my husband and I. The day we chose was January 18th, but do to inclement weather, he so kindly postponed it until January 18th at 4:45 PM, which happened to be about 2 hours and 15 minutes before he was due back at the Westin as well to take pictures for my husbands' company reception. We not only had daylight and sunset for our photographs, but we did them in such a great span of time that we all took a taxi back just in time for him to set up at the Westin for the company event. He is so organized and set up so nicely for all the 80 couples he was to take photographs of that night.
    I received my photographs 6 days later and could not be happier. I hope to one day have him take family portraits of my family there again on Trunk Bay!!

    Louis Lucas captured the true essence of our destination wedding. Our pictures came out amazing! Even better than we anticipated, and we're very particular! Plus, he's so easy to work with leading up to the wedding and on the big day as well. Highly recommend using his for your special occasion!

    Lucas was absolutely FABULOUS. He bent over backwards to give my husband and I what we wanted and produced stunning photos at an incredible value. Do yourself a favor - stop wasting your time looking around for a photographer and book him RIGHT NOW. He's an all-around amazing photographer and human being. You definitely won't be sorry you did.
