Charming Venue Near Downtown Monroe At An Incredible Price
I didn't think finding a wedding venue was going to be so frustrating. Most places wanted us to pay a small fortune to rent out the facility for a few hours. So we thought we could cut costs by doing a potluck reception where my mom can bring her famous Chinese chicken, or an aunt could make her delicious meatballs. We were wrong. Turns out most places wouldn't allow potluck and required us to use their caterer. The price? Same as the venue.
So then we went looking for churches to rent. Not only would we be helping the local community, but it wouldn't cost a fortune and time was running out. It would've been fine, except we wanted to use our own officiant. Turns out churches can be a bit picky about that.
That's when we found Madison Hill Chapel, a charming little venue near downtown Monroe. Emanuel (the owner) was more than accommodating, and even went out of his way to fulfill some of our suggestions.
The chapel itself was charming and reminiscent of the old style churches from the 1940's with a large open cathedral ceiling, balcony, and church pews. Not only was the chapel itself comfortable for the 100+ people that attended our wedding, the reception hall was next door and was equally accommodating with an industrial sized kitchen.
I would definitely recommend Madison Hill Chapel to anyone wanting to get married or eloped.
