  Calm, communicative, excellent service!

  Can't say enough about how highly I recommend Maine Audio Visual. My dear friend got married this past weekend after postponing her wedding due to the pandemic, and after many months of careful planning for a largely-outdoor event, the weather was not cooperating. I reached out to Jimmy on Saturday morning at 8:30am and he got back in touch with me immediately, en route to set up an AV system for another event, and we worked out the details for a karaoke rental. He brought it to our venue the next day, got it all set up, walked us through instructions, and then had it all cleared out by 9am the next morning in time for our wedding yoga. What?! Jimmy was super-communicative (over text and phone), calm, and a real lifesaver. The karaoke was a HUGE hit - the setup felt like being at a legit karaoke bar, including a slight voice autotune that helped those of us who are less musically-included. Many thanks for one of our highlights of the whole weekend!

  Maine Audio Visual - JT

  My wife Stephanie found JT's DJ services and we could not be more thrilled. JT was extremely responsive and easy to work with. He was flexible in helping us. It ended up raining on our wedding day and he was able to work well with us to move locations and ensure everything was set up.

  Too dependent on WiFi

  We told Jimmy in advance of our wedding, as well as day of, that internet was spotty at best at our location. And yet he still didn't download our song choices ahead of time. There was at least a 2 minute gap from my maid of honor entering to me where there was no music at all - I can only assume he was working on getting the internet connected. He did not have our first dance song which we found out about just before walking down the aisle - luckily my groom had it in his room and was able to get it. I'm told there was also issues with the karaoke - which we paid extra for - presumably internet related as well.
  
  He did not stick to our preferred music of '80s New Wave/Pop, but the dance floor was always full so I will let that slide. The ultimate goal is for everyone to have fun and leave wanting more and that mission was accomplished.
  
  No DJ should ever be WiFi dependent.

  Thanks for the review and my apologies for relying too much on technology. Unfortunately, I could not find the music requested to download prior to your wedding, which I usually do ahead of time. In the future I will make sure to bring a mobile hotspot to all weddings and other events. Relying on others poor internet connection was extremely frustrating for me as it was for you. Despite the technical difficulties, it was evident your guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. In fact, several of them gave favorable comments after the reception on the music selection and stated how much fun they had. Again, my sincere apologies and I wish you both all the best!
