    Amazing experience!!

    We got married here on 7/14/21 and couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out! Cassidy was amazing to work with and so timely with her responses (we’re from WI so it was a destination wedding for us). She provided amazing recommendations for our florist, photographer and DJ. And the day of went so smoothly down to every detail. Highly recommend!!

    Amazing wedding day

    First i want to THANK all the staff at Margaritaville Resort, Lake of the Ozarks for making our wedding the best day ever!! But an EXTRA special THANK YOU to Cassidy for making this seamless for us!!! The resort is AMAZING as you can see from the pictures but also a place to et your guest relax but also enjoy all the amenities they offer.     Rustic lake wedding

    Our wedding was beautiful and easy! Cassidy took care of everything and did an amazing job. All our guest raved about the food as well!

    Gorgeous view, accomodating staff, reasonable price!

    My husband and I could have not been happier with Margaritaville resort as our wedding venue.
    Our wedding was an elopement wedding that we planned the last minute and with help of Margaritaville staff it turned to be a dream wedding which every bride and groom would wish for!

    Amazing! The best night of our life!

    First off, Cassidy Z. did an outstanding job! Highly recommend working with her. The entire staff at Margaritaville provided superior service. Our wedding was during biker weekend and the crowd was so fun! Cassidy and her team were amazing to work with... We originally had our wedding planned for May 2020 but had to postpone due to the pandemic. She was extremely flexible in letting us reschedule and communicated the whole time. She responds to emails within 30 minutes!! If you are considering getting married at the Ozarks, then Margaritaville is your place. Your guests will have an amazing time because of all the accommodations. (Pool Bar, Landshark restaurant, cornhole on the “beach”) One of my husbands friends came a few days before, stayed at the resort, and even drove a few minutes to play a round of golf. Great time! We can’t wait to go there and spend the weekend on our 1 year anniversary.

    Wedding of our Dreams!

    Wow, I really cannot adequately express in words the fantastic job that Priscilla and the entire Tan-Tar-A staff did for our wedding weekend! Priscilla, the event coordinator, blew me away with her friendliness, experience, and ability to stay calm and collected while coordinating the events of our wedding weekend and dealing with uncooperative weather. Priscilla's help and expertise ensured we had a stress-free weekend. I can't thank her enough for everything she did for us. I was confident that she and her team would do a fantastic job, and they more than delivered!

    Everyone at Tan-Tar-A contributed to making our wedding weekend exceed our wildest dreams, from the staff working tirelessly to finish the new Landshark Bar for our welcome party, to guest services making sure everything we and our guests needed were taken care of all weekend, to the Food and Beverage team delivering fantastic food, drinks, and service for our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, wedding reception, and farewell brunch. We have received endless compliments from our guests on everything, including the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the design and decor of the events, and the taste of the food.

    We are so thrilled with our choice to hold our wedding at Tan-Tar-A, and we would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone! In addition to a number of different event spaces, a wedding at Tan-Tar-A offers many different activities for guests, including boating and golfing. Everyone loved having access to these amenities, and it was an awesome weekend getaway for both us and our guests. Thank you again for making our wedding weekend perfect!

    Dreams came true

    Our wedding was a success because of the staff. They were so kind and helpful. Everything was absolutely perfect and the coordinator took extra care to remind us that the day was ours. Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue. Truly wonderful!

    We stayed at this resort for our honeymoon. Along with some family and friends, we had a wonderful time hanging out on the back deck that overlooked the beautiful waterway. Very relaxing and stunning views. It was a bit pricey for our budget, but definitely worth it for a once in a life time family get away to celebrate our union.

    This is a great place to have your ceremony and reception. You have many options for the location on their property. There is indoors, outdoors or water front. They went above and beyond my expectations and my wedding and reception were beautiful. The staff is very friendly and curtious. The food was excellent and more than I expected. The price is a little over the top but for the quality of service it was worth it!!!

    Great Time!

    Margaritaville is an awesome place to have a wedding if you're looking for a beautiful site with minimal planning to be done by you. Everything from hair and makeup to hotels rooms are all on site so it makes for an easy, super fun day. If you're hoping to really customize decorations or have other particularities you want for your wedding weekend, you'll have to stay really on top of things and make sure everyone is on board with getting stuff done that you want. See my detailed pro/con list below if you're interested!

    Pros:
    -If you book an outdoor location, Margaritaville automatically reserves a back-up indoor location for you without extra cost in case it rains. -Prices are relatively reasonable for the lake and they are pretty flexible about working with a budget.
    -You get an on-site wedding planner.
    -Everyone was very helpful, understanding, and communicative about changes with COVID-19. I was able to have my wedding on September 12, 2020 which was pretty much exactly how I imagined it. Everything was outside so those who wanted to wear masks could, but there was no mandate about mask wearing.
    -Driftwood Spa and Salon on site- oh my gosh the best spa experience EVER.
    -This is in all inclusive place. You can have your ceremony, reception, hotel rooms, spa, and picture sites all within 2 minute walking distance, which is very convenient, decreases stress, and saves you money on transportation.

    Cons:
    -Likely due to Corona Virus staffing changes, but I was passed off to 3 different wedding planners within the 8 months of me booking the venue until the wedding date. All 3 planners were very sweet and helpful, but naturally we had some miscommunication and some details fall through the cracks when switching from planner to planner. For example, my first wedding planner told me my bridal bouquet would be payed for by the resort, but later the next wedding planner told me that wasn’t true which affected my tight budget. We had some miscommunication with room bookings and reservations which caused me quite a bit of stress to iron out, but it did work out eventually. Switching planners put a large responsibility on me to make sure everyone was on the same page with all of our specific plans.
    -A few empty promises were given. Not anything major, but enough for me to notice. Our ceremony and reception decorations got a little jacked up- I sent pictures and a detailed list of how the decorations should go and the planners said they would take care of it, but our tables scarves weren't even used, the chair ties that were supposed to go on the chairs were used on the tables, the banister wasn't wrapped as I had asked. I also asked for the parents’ table to be close to the bride and groom at the head table and that didn’t happen. I wanted to make a change to the ceremony music last minute and was told it'd be taken care of but it wasn't. I asked for our best man (a 10 year old) to have chicken fingers instead of our grown-up entrée and that didn’t happen- he had to ask the waitress to get him some chicken fingers which the waitress graciously did. These are relatively small things and we still had a blast at the wedding, but my point is that I spent a lot of time thinking through every detail so things would be perfect, and I was a tiny bit disappointed in the execution of the day for our specific accommodations.

    Overall it was great and I think things would have gone perfectly with 1 planner the whole time.
