Matthew DJ was awesome!

Matthew Dj performed at our wedding in July. It was a pleasure working with him. He is highly experienced and very professional. Two months before the wedding, we connected over the phone and discussed the type of vibe we wanted to have during the wedding and then he asked us to provide a playlist with our favorite songs. He totally nailed what we had in mind and couldn’t be happier to have chosen him to play at our wedding! All the guests had such a great time that they ended up requesting one more song after I played his last song.

Professional, organised and a great DJ!

Matthew was our DJ for our wedding this summer and from start to finish delivered a highly professional service. Super on top of the paperwork, playlists in advance, etc. And of course he was seamless on the day - setting up the ceremony, string quartet and the after party. Everything was perfect - thank you Matthew DJ!

We wanted to thank you for the most fantastic DJ service you provided for our wedding day. You exceeded our expectations in reading the atmosphere and choosing the perfect tempo of music at just the right moment! Your set during dinner was perfect, and later on you got everyone on the dance floor, and together with the saxophonist Matteo (who we also recommend together with Matthew!) you made it such a special party will never forget! You made everything effortless, your professionalism and reliability really stood out for us which is so important when planning a wedding aboard. We would highly recommend you and only wish we could do it all over again!! :-)

Matteo knows how to soundtrack a great party!

Matteo came by a recommendation from our wedding planner, and we hired him without too much additional thought. I am glad we did!! His DJ set for our dance party was incredible - plenty of guests have asked me to hunt down the playlist from him! Working with him was easy and straightforward - I sent him a Spotify playlist of "inspiration" songs for the vibe we were going for (a mix of current hip hop, old school r&b, pop, 70s disco, and 80s hits), a 'must play' list and a 'do not play' list, and he somehow made it all work and kept everyone dancing for ~4 hours. He comes highly recommended, and I would hire him again!

Best Night of our Lives

When planning a destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy, we wanted to be sure that our friends and family had an amazing time. We are from New York City, with some of the best nightlife and DJs the world. This meant that having the perfect DJ as part of our wedding celebration was a priority.

We didn’t want want typical “wedding music”, so we needed a talented and experienced DJ that also plays in regular clubs throughout Italy. Our wedding planner recommended DJ Matthew as the best! So, we chose him and he helped create an incredible experience.

Planning was very easy. DJ Matthew took the time to get to know our likes and dislikes, so that the party was very personal to us. We emailed a few times with our list of favorites and special requests, like a drummer, cool first dance mix, and last songs of the night. Knowing that DJ Matthew is a talented DJ in various clubs, we also asked him to play some of his own mixes during the party, which he did and it was a huge hit! A few months before the wedding, we visited the venue and met with him (he arrived riding a cool motorcycle!) to get to know each other a bit. His excitement for our wedding made us that much more excited for it!

The lighting, the drummer, the music and DJ Matthew’s awesome personality created an amazing night we will never ever forget!

It was the perfect finale to an amazing celebration!

We HIGHLY recommend him for any special event - you will have the time of your lives!

Fantastic!

Matteo is absolutely brilliant. He made the whole process so easy and was always conscious of getting us the very best options within a budget we could afford. He took care of everything from the music, to music tax to lighting, as well as specialised instrument and microphone hire for our live sung first dance - he also recommended us other live musicians for the ceremony. He was always super responsive and happy to text/call for any questions we had.
Most important of all - he is a fantastic DJ and the playlist was brilliant - all our guests had a great time dancing the night away. He took elements of our own play lists we provided - mixed with his own, took requests on the spot on the night and got the tone for the day spot on.
Couldn't recommend Matteo highly enough! Thank you for making our wedding night so memorable!

Great DJ, English speaking, filled your dance floor

Mattel was the best supplier I hired throughout the whole wedding. He is a great guy, fluent English. I had no wedding planner so I asked him for a lot of extra things and he delivered on everything. Provided DJ, live musicians, lighting for any rooms we wanted & microphones for wedding speeches. He arranged to music licenses for us which is needed for music in Italy. Not all vendors will do this for you! He even helped me find fire dancers. And all at a very fair price. I could not ask for more! The DJ set was fantastic, something for everyone, everybody was on the dance floor until 3am... even my 70year old father! That’s how good the music was! Thank you Matteo, you made our day so special!

Devaki and Krishan's Indian Wedding September 2018

We had the pleasure of DJ Matteo providing amazing music for our pre wedding event (Indian Henna Party) and Western Wedding Reception from 5th - 7th September 2018 for our Destination Wedding in Tuscany.

We were so happy with his professionalism and hard work. We initially met him when we were over in Tuscany for some wedding planning and he was so professional from the get go, we were very confident in choosing him. He listened to our wishes and prepared well for our events so that he had every song we would want. He went above and beyond our expectations and our guests had so many compliments for him. The dance floor was always packed thanks to him! Thank you DJ Matteo for an amazing party!

We are from Montreal, Canada and was planning a wedding overseas in Florence, Italy which was stressful enough given that everything was done over email and we couldn't meet any of our wedding vendors in advance. The DJ was very important to us as we really wanted to create an amazing atmosphere for our guests and have a really good time dancing. Matthew honestly made it the easiest experience for us. The timing of the music played during our ceremony was perfect, he knew exactly when to start and stop the music. He even helped to organize the vendors for our lighting and live music, giving us great recommendations and helping organize the set up.

For the party afterwards, the music he played was perfect. We had provided him with a wide variety of songs in a playlist that we loved to give him an idea of our music style and he really incorporated it all together so smoothly. He was absolutely amazing and I would recommend him to anyone to use at an event! Thank you so much Matthew for everything you did on our wedding day!! You really made it very special for us!

Great Party !

Matthew DJ was instrumental in get our wedding party to the level we would have hoped. he proposed a very comprehensive list of tunes and was also very flexible in adapting the play list to our requests. he also showed versatility when playing at our "day-after party" in a more relaxed atmosphere. we would definitely work with him again or recommend him to our friends !

Matthew is great, he brought our party to life!

We met Matthew through our wedding planner- he came highly recommended and now we know why! He’s great at what he does. We had two wedding events, one was a more traditional Indian wedding, where he played all the Bollywood songs, some we provided and some he found on his own. Once Matthew knows your taste, he’s great at compiling the music for the event. The second event was a formal dinner and dancing. Our wedding party had an amazing time and the dance floor was never quiet!

Matthew was fantastic during the whole planning of our wedding. Very responsive, informative, polite and helpful.

Would highly recommend Matthew to anyone who wants an amazing Dj at their wedding. Music is very important to both my now husband and I, Matthew was very accommodating and informative and played some amazing songs and read the room well in terms of what the audience liked. Saxophonist was an amazing touch, if you want something unique and for your guests to be wowed and talk about for weeks after your special event then Matthew should be your one and only DJ choice!

Wedding Day!

Let me start by saying that my wedding was the best day of my life.
Matteo was recommended to me by my wedding planner as one of the best Djs in Florence. After carefully reviewing his Instagram page, and youtube, both me, and my husband decided he seemed like a good fit.
Communication: Most challenging area of working with Matteo.
We all know the challenges of a destination wedding, not being able to meet with your vendors, in person, being the worst one.
I spent a year and a half planning my wedding and not once, I was able to have a conversation with Matteo. He did answered my emails in a timely manner, however emails are not enough to share a wedding vision.
Organization:
When we started reviewing all vendor invoices for final payments, we noted that the dj invoice had lots duplicated services. ( I want to think this was not on purpose, but just lack of attention to detail)
We reached out to Matteo so he could revise. We also had to update the dinner lighting, because he failed to communicate lamps at the venue could not be removed. I believe we sent back the invoice because of mistakes at least three times, he added and removed services without asking us. It seems, he knew what the budget was for music & lighting and wanted to charge us that, one way or the other. After lots back and forth we were down to the final invoice.At that point we were trying to cut cost, but without affecting our vision. We decided to add standard lighting that as per invoice included LED effect, LED stand and hazer machine (this last item being super important to us) At no point during my wedding I saw any smoke.
Music: We are Cubans living in Miami, having a wedding in Tuscany, you can imagine the big challenge when it comes to wedding playlist. Wanting to give Matteo a clear idea , we put together a playlist in Spotify, we included all Musical genres from Reggaetón, salsa, to house ect. During the party, it seems like Matteo started playing straight from the playlist without mixing genres.At some point I came up to him and told him to stop playing regetton and play other things.
Goods: I believe give credit where credit is due! . Matteo was very flexible at accepting requests from the guests. I have a friend that is a dj and Matteo even let him mix some music. He was punctual and was there until the agreed upon time. Audio was perfect through the night and he kept people dancing until the end.

Final thoughts: I feel bad about leaving a negative review after such an amazing day. However feedbacks are important not only to future brides, but for the company itself. I believe instagram is affecting the way people run businesses. If you are not an influencer, a celebrity or have 20k budget to through in music and lighting, the attention and the quality changes. If I had the chance for a due over, I’ll probably look for another DJ.

Dear Melanie,
Thank you for your review, but before writing it you could have asked your Wedding planner for an explanation because part of what you wrote is not correct.

Communication: Your wedding took place on September 27th, the first quote I gave you was in February, your request to make a video call was sent to me just before the event. As you will have seen on your wedding day, when I work my attention and focused on that client, I cannot distract myself to make calls with others, we could have organized it sooner if I had known about your need. For the call I apologize and I'm sorry, but the emails have always been answered.

Organization:
I double-checked the invoices and I don't see any duplicate services, maybe it was stressful to find a solution for the lighting? We indulged you in everything, finding you chandeliers of different types, fairy lights, without ever telling you that it was not possible to find what you were interested in. But the cost of hire, setup, and manpower was out of your budget. In the end we created a dinner and party lighting project for you with the budget that was given to us of € 1160.00 (as you can see from the invoice), adding the perimeter lighting of the party room for free, to do a job more beautiful, did you notice this?
Regarding the Hazer, as you can also check on wikipedia it is a machine that creates a fine fog to increase the effect of the lights, it is NOT a smoke machine, in none of our emails / quotes we talk about a smoke machine. Why didn't you tell me or the wedding planner on the day of the event?
Do you know that for the SIAE permit of the welcome party, which was requested of us a few days before, we did not charge you for the service?
Do you remember that the party went on, beyond the contracted time, until the staff of the location forced us to close, and none of us came to ask you for any extras (which was stipulated in the contract)?

Final remarks:
Dear Melanie, thank your relative who tipped me and my staff at the end of the evening to thank us for the excellent work and our professionalism. I don't consider it a bad review, the set-up was beautiful, everything worked perfectly and your guests danced all night, frankly I think my future brides understand that they can't get € 20,000 set-ups by spending a tenth.

Dear Melanie, personally I am a Ferrari fan, but I can't afford it and I drive a Mercedes, but I don't complain that my car doesn't run 330km / h. DC
