  We couldn’t be happier with our decision!  Even after all the beautiful portfolio pics, amazing references, and complete personal comfort level there are always questions, but Michael and Andy knocked it out of the park like we never imagined! I’m not sure if they’re part ninja or ghost, but I’m amazed by their ability to be everywhere all the time while never imposing.
  
  
  Even his direction for the “posed” shots was subtle. I’m pretty camera shy, but Michael made me feel completely comfortable throwing my head back and laughing out loud by myself. And the pictures look natural and better than any photos I’ve ever had! He’s so lighthearted and fun that it’s almost impossible to feel self-conscious!
  
  We had so many guests comment on how friendly and attentive our photographer was and how he didn’t miss anything, but it was so very evident when we saw our photographs (which was surprisingly quick, BTW). Each detail that we put our thought and hearts into was captured, and more importantly we now have an unbelievable representation of our entire day with everyone we love and cherish depicted in a beautiful photographic story that we can enjoy forever.

  I am very particular with my photos, especially when it's "candid" shots. So, I was very nervous picking out the right photographer for the most important day of my life! We found Michael and our intial meeting, you could tell how much passion, hardwork and dedication Micahel puts into each of his photos. I was blown away by his work and knew immediately I couldn't miss the opportunity for him to take pictures at my wedding. His warm personality and professionalism also sealed the deal. On our wedding day, he knew how to handle everyone and how to capture those special moments. He took more than a thousand photos and there wasn't one I was disappointed with. They were all beautiful and I've received so many compliments on my wedding photos. I look at them at least once a week because he captured our wedding perfectly. You will NOT be disappointed if you hire Michael. He is the best in Orange County, hands down.

  I can't say enough great things about Michael. He is amazingly professional, takes beautiful shots, and got our images to us incredibly fast. His prices are extremely competitive and a great value for what you get. If you hire him for your occasion you will be very glad you did!

  There are some things that are priceless....experience, genuineness, etc. MJS is a rare find in the overly saturated market of wedding photography. Can you find cheaper? Yes. But you will be hard pressed to find a better eye to capture your once in a lifetime moments. Don't settle. I will never trust another with my photos (baby, family, corporate).   We were very happy with Michael Jonathan Studios. I had more than one friend use Michael as their wedding photographer, one of which I was a bridesmaid for, and when I saw their images I knew that I wanted to have Michael do my wedding as well. I especially like his ability to work with nature-y backgrounds (we did our engagement pictures at a park and pre-ceremony pictures at a park as well, and the pictures of the parks look better than the parks were in real life).
  
  Michael was very easy to work with, both leading up to the wedding day and on the day of. Very upfront and honest, always available when we contacted him, and very quick to respond to us. We had to change the location of our wedding halfway through the planning process and he did not charge us for change of location (we were doing our pre-ceremony + ceremony + reception at one location and it changed to three different locations), which one of my other vendors did, sadly. Because he was so experienced, he gave us good advice and feedback on the times and locations that would be best for our pictures.
  
  Michael stayed longer and later than we had paid him for on the day of, for no extra charge. He also had our pictures ready for us by Thanksgiving (less than two weeks after our wedding) so that we can share with friends and family, without us even asking him to do it.

As a client, I felt he really listened and understood what was important to us. He also provided such a wealth of knowledge and suggestions, well beyond anything we could have ever thought of.   I used Michael Jonathan Studios for my wedding at Rancho Las Lomas. I couldn't be happier with Michael's unique artistic eye, beautiful photographic skill, thoughtful communication, and follow through . Michael never waited for me to contact him, but always took initive. He was very professional and made sure I got all the wish list shots that I had been imagining. He was very familair with Rancho Las Lomas and able to use the venue and it's lighting to the best vantage. Michael continuously went above and beyond from holding doors to verifing that I'd recieved my photographs. I am so thankful that he was there to immortalize the memories of a day that went so quickly.

  Michael Jonathan Studios was probably the best choice I ever made for our wedding. Michael was so fast with taking pictures during our wedding that I don't even remember him taking the pictures. And they came out great! From the 1st day of contacting him to the last day of receiving the album and picture files, he was always prompt in getting back to us and made sure everything was taken cared of. What I liked most was the fact that he was up to date with today's trend of photo taking and also kept it traditional for my family. I highly recommend using Michael Jonathan Studios.

  Five stars, indispensable, best decision I made about the wedding (aside from marrying my husband, of course). He:
  - Made me feel even more beautiful than I did on my wedding day
  (I liked my hair, makeup and veil BETTER after seeing the photos)
  - Helped PLAN my ceremony & reception (I would ask him, "How long should I schedule for photos with the grandparents", and even "What time do you think I should start getting ready"). He reviewed our entire schedule
  - Made me promise to spend at least 1 hour for "one-on-one photos" with my husband after the ceremony/before the reception, making possible my favorite photos from the entire day
  - Corralled our large family (he calls it "herding cats") and kept the pace, yet somehow still remained "invisible"
  - Helped us take the sweetest most personal photos by encouraging us to laugh, hold hands, lean into each other, close your eyes, etc…the photos from these poses are drop-dead-gorgeous, and the direction he gave us never felt intrusive
  - Took photos when I didn't know he was there (capturing moments I deeply treasure)
  - Wowed my entire family ("Wow, that photographer really knows his stuff", "Wow, that pose you guys did by the fountain looked like you were in a magazine shoot", "Wow, he has the best energy")
  - Throughout the year leading up to the wedding, sent me photos from other weddings asking for my opinion, so that he could get a feel for my favorite poses/styles/lighting
  - Has the most amazing eye for "good light" -- trust him when he takes you to an area with "good light," they will be your favorite photos!
  - Referred me to our DJ
  - Spent 1 hour on the phone the night before the wedding, going over details, telling me what to expect. This was indispensable information for a nervous bride.
  I will forever be grateful to this talented, dedicated, and kind dude who loves his job so much, it's inspiring!!

Your memories and photos. He is extremely creative, professional, and articulate. He is definitely a perfectionist! The wedding day went smoothly and he kept everyone very organized. Another thing I loved about him was he didn't just take shots he wanted, he repeatedly asked myself and family members if there were any specific shots we really wanted him to shoot. We were able to view our photos in his studio about a week later and our album was then created. Out of about 850 shots, there was not a photo I didn't love, they were all amazing! Michael was always in contact with me and was very prompt about responding to emails/phone calls. These are only a few reasons he is so awesome! I highly recommend Michael Jonathan Studios!

  Michael was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He knows how to give images great color saturation and creates beautiful lighting in all sorts of situations. We were very happy with his work :)

  Michael was my sister's wedding photographer back in 2003. When my husband and I got married last year, I knew that I had wanted to work with him since he did such an amazing job on my sister's wedding. Michael did not disappoint. We hired him to shoot our engagement photos, Chinese ceremony and wedding day photos and the photos turned out just as amazing as my sister's wedding photos. Michael likes to shoot a lot of candids from long lenses so he is able to capture the purest moments of people laughing, talking, smiling, crying etc. For our wedding, he was able to capture everyone's emotions that I am able to re-live our wedding day over and over again just by looking at his photos.
  
  Michael is very organized, responsive and professional. He was one of the easiest vendors to work with and my husband and I enjoyed getting to know him from a personal level. He was also able to complete our photo album two weeks after the wedding, which is unheard of. He work is priced very reasonably compared to the other photographers we interviewed.
  
  If you are looking for a photographer who takes genuine non-cheesy wedding photos, Michael is your guy!

  I am SO happy that we had Michael as our photographer on our wedding day. He has so much experience and we were in amazing hands. From beginning to end he was professional and upbeat throughout the chaos of the day. He was able to get all of our family portraits done efficiently without being pushy or demanding. And the final product, the photos, are all that I could have hoped for. My friends and family won’t stop raving about how beautiful the photos came out. I would recommend Michael to anyone without hesitation.

  Michael is amazing to work with. As a bride we always have lots of questions and he answered everyone. Very prompt returning emails and phone calls. So thankful for such a amazing photographer to capture the best day of my life! Highly reccomed him!!

  Michael Jonathan Studios were great! I had heard of him previously as my best friend had also hired him for her engagement/wedding photos. Michael was professional, timely, and gave us great memories to look back on. I used him for our engagement photos, our wedding photos, and then again just last year for our 5th anniversary photos.

From the day that I booked him for my engagement photos to my wedding day, Michael was always quick to reply to emails with any concerns a bride may have. On the day of my wedding, he arrived promptly and professionally. Even though there was a language barrier with my parents, they loved how patient and friendly he was and felt comfortable right away. Now that I am ordering my album, I truly can't wait to have my wonderful memories in hand and thanks to Michael, he captured all the best moments!

  We just received my daughter's wedding album and we are so pleased. It is more perfect than I had hoped for. Michael does a great job creating unique poses and has an artistic eye for color and light. He was patient, yet kept us on schedule, while l capturing each important moment. You feel all the fun and excitement of the special day as though you are experiencing it all over again. My only regret is that I wish I had ordered more shots for our parent's album.
