I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful service and beautiful venue provided by MVCC! What set it apart from other venues were the upfront costs - we did not feel like we were being nickeled and dimed. For example, there was no surcharge for bringing in your own dessert vendor. You are required to use MVCC catering, but the food taste and presentation was excellent. It is, after all, a private country club that runs its own restaurant year-round. We were pleasantly surprised to see our final bill, which did NOT include cancelled dinner entrees or unopened wine bottles. Patricia (event coordinator) responded to all of my emails, no matter how trivial, in 24 hours or less. On our wedding day, she not only made sure every detail was taken care of, but also personally attended to us so that we could also enjoy the events rather than feel like hosts the entire time. The venue served as a great all-in-one site for our small wedding of 75 with a ceremony room, reception ballroom with dance floor, cocktail area and patio, and of course beautiful green grounds for our pictures. Our wedding was in late May, so the flower garden was not in full bloom. However, the bridge, fountain, grass, and trees provided suitable backdrops. During our ceremony, golfers must have been temporarily stopped from walking past the window, because our pictures did not include random people teeing off in the background! I would recommend MVCC to any couple looking for a seamless and budget-friendly experience.

What a dream day it was to have our wedding reception ta Minnesota Valley Country Club. Patricia and her team were outstanding in providing their services and going out of their way to make our day special. We looked at so many reception venues but upon meeting Patricia and having her walk us through the ballroom, we knew this woudl be the one. They were able to accommodate all the things we wanted to do that day and made it go without any issues. When we had any questions, Patricia was always quick to answer our questions. And the value that they have is amazing (big bang for the buck!). The ballroom and the view of the club are beautiful. All the guests complimented us on the quality of the food and said it tasted fantastic. We received excellent service throughout the night. Having our reception there was everything we hoped for and we would change nothing about it. We would highly recommend having your wedding reception at MVCC!

My mother got married in this venue 20 years ago and I am so excited to get married there this coming spring. So far, they have been excellent to work with.

The staff is extremely professional and timely and has done everything to make my wedding day exactly how I have always imagined it to be. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue.

MVCC was an incredible venue for my wedding. I planned from out of town, and Patricia (the coordinator) and her assistant were amazingly helpful and so fast to respond to my emails. The service was excellent, and the staff were so kind to my guests. The chef made incredible dishes, and everyone raved about the food. He even allowed my dad to bring in homegrown vegetables. There was a small hiccup with one table during our plated dinner service, and the club comped a portion of our bill because of it. I was most impressed that while there were some things that didn't go exactly as planned, the club worked them out on their own or asked my designated person - I didn't know about anything the day of. They were extremely professional and allowed me to just enjoy my day. In addition, they bill afterwards, so while they will stick exactly to the budget, you don't have to worry about payment that day.

MVCC ended up being a great venue for our wedding reception. Patricia was very helpful in planning the details. In the beginning there was some confusion with dates, but the date we ended up with worked out very well. The staff at the reception was all very quick and efficient, getting the food out to the guests quickly. The food was also very good, we offered chicken and shrimp scampi. We have gotten a lot of complements on the food! During our engagement they redid their catering menu which means that everything got more expensive then we had originally planned which was a little frustrating, but the quality was all very good. They also allowed us to be flexible with the number of kegs, and other things. Since they do all of the catering in house, it allowed for more flexibility.

MVCC was the site of our wedding reception. Overall we were happy with how it turned out. The ballroom is beautiful and spacious and has great views of the golf course. We liked that the dance floor was more walled in than at other venues - it allowed for better conversations on the other side of the room for those not dancing. The food was good and our guests seemed happy. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, MVCC was flexible with the number of kegs we needed and also let us order a keg of root beer. The food & beverage minimums were quite reasonable.

Early on I sometimes had trouble getting a timely response from Patricia and it caused a few problems when I needed answers quickly while dealing with other vendors. We ended up losing out on some of the linen rentals we wanted because of delays in communication on both ends, but it all worked out fine in the end. As we got closer to the event date, she was very responsive and helpful.

One other area of caution is that I was really hoping to get more suggestions from her regarding details for the event, and instead I often felt like she was expecting us to know exactly how this wedding stuff works and exactly what we wanted. Since we did not hire a planner, I was really hoping that she would help guide us a little more than she did and give ideas.

MVCC only allows the bride, groom, and one photographer out on the golf course for photos. Any other photos have to be taken around the clubhouse. We ended up going elsewhere for outdoor photos with our bridal party so we would have more options and room to spread out.

All in all we were happy with MVCC and the service we received. The staff were very courteous and accommodating and the venue is conveniently located.
