    We booked a group of rooms here for our guests and we (bride & groom) also stayed here on our wedding night and the night before. It was the perfect location for any couple with lots of out of town guests - very close to John Wayne Airport and it's across the street from Fashion Island which means you don't have to drive anywhere!! Our guests loved it here. A big thank you to Sam Curvin for helping us organize the weekend, along with welcome drinks for our guests in the hotel bar's patio on the rehearsal day. It would also make for a stunning wedding venue most definitely!

    I checked out various hotels in South Orange County. With a short amount of time that I had for wedding planning, Amber Palmer made my life easy. Out of all the hotels I went to, I got the best service from Marriott in Newport Beach. Amber, the Senior Sales Executive, worked with me very closely with patient to find out all my needs and budget limitation. She met all my requests and made it easy, so I didn’t have to get stressed throughout the process. I highly recommend her and you will enjoy working with such a sweet person.

    In addition to Amber, I worked with Flora Nguyen. She helped me with all the details of wedding planning and she made my wedding day very relaxing and enjoyable. She is very kind and she played an important role on the day of wedding. She made our day special and relaxing.

    Overall the team in Marriott Newport Beach are super nice and I enjoyed working with every one of them. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to get married.

    Tammi and her staff did a fantastic job. If you want a hassle free turn key wedding this is the place.
    We searched many hotels before choosing this venue. None of the others offered as good a package. None of the others treated us as well each time we arrived on their property.
    They have it down to a science.

    Wow! All I can say is WOW! The Marriott and their staff really created a dream come true wedding for me. I was able to trust everything in their hands and they went above and beyond anything I had asked for. Though in the higher price range....WELL WORTH THE MONEY! The venue alone is stunning. We got married in the Sea View Terrace which was amazing. Candice and Julie and the Marrriott staff were on their headset radios all night making sure everything happened on time and smoothly. I have never seen a smoother wedding. Our guest have commented on the same thing. Candice and Julie made our day everything it was. We could not have had this wedding without them! The venue is amazing, the food is fantastic (filet), the ballroom was stunning, they are VERY accomidating, and the staff is beyond what I would have ever expected. No need for an outside coordinator if you book at this venue. They give you more than enough staff! :)

    Beautiful location. Great staff. Easy access for everyone. Great accomidations...and WONDERFUL WEDDING MENUS. My guests still talk about the food and they said it was the best wedding food they have ever had!!!

    My husband and I got married here in June 2009, and we couldn't be happier with our entire experience, from the moment we discovered the hotel to the day we left for our honeymoon. Everyone was so professional and friendly, and we especially enjoyed working with Candice, our wedding day coordinator who was provided by the hotel. She helped us out so much and made things run so smoothly on the day of that not one thing went wrong all day! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and gave the feeling of a destination wedding even though we live in LA. Our ceremony was at the Sea View Terrace which is in a hidden outdoor part of the hotel. It felt very private which is what we were looking for, and we loved that the cocktail hour was right at our ceremony site. This hotel offered the best package in town, and we felt that we got a lot for our money. We couldn't have picked a better place for our wedding.

    The Newport Beach Marriott is not only a beautiful location, but also number one in customer service. They made the wedding planning process so easy, and the wedding day was perfect. The staff made sure my guests were always taken care of. The food was delicious as well. They are so professional and friendly. I highly recommend the Marriott for any reception!

    We worked with Marriott of Newport Beach and were very pleased with all the services provided. They exceeded our wants and needs. The food was outstanding and the venue was perfection. The professionalism in their staff is wonderful as well. The rooms were very comfortable. Amber and Alisa were great to work with and easy to contact. In regards to the bar service in the lounge, they really need to work on professionalism and customer service. The bar was absolutely TERRIBLE and not up to Marriott standards. Very slow, and not very accommodating, or friendly.

    We absolutely LOVED this place as our venue for our wedding. From incredible customer service to great responsiveness and pleasantly surprising flexibility (when a few things changed from our original discussions, they were very accommodating!). They really, really paid attention to us and made us feel valued as customers every time we contacted them or showed up onsite. The venue itself was perfectly romantic for a wedding (Sea View terrace)--our guests loved staying at the property. The Marriott team was all in all just so wonderful to work with and we recommend the location as a wedding venue without hesitation!

    excellent would contact them again

    Erika sent me several proposals since we were unsure of number of guests. Unlike many other vendors she sent me customized proposals versus pages and pages of boiler plate menus . I appreciated her personal touch and customer service . Many venues do not follow up nor do they take the time to customize their services.

    So happy we chose this venue!

    We celebrated our wedding at the Newport Beach Marriott on October 13, 2018, and are filled with gratitude and a million happy memories from our weekend at our beautiful venue. We are very happy that we chose this property for our wedding. From the time we were initially considering the venue, April Chu treated us like guests in her own home. She thoroughly and patiently answered all of our questions about the venue. More importantly, she had an excitement and passion for our wedding that we had never seen at any other venue we visited in the process of wedding planning. We booked with the Marriott Newport Beach, and specifically with April, because of the feeling we had that April and her team would perfectly execute our wedding day...and they did! Kaley Houdyshell was our assigned event planner, and her and April made a great team! Here are just a few examples of how they went above and beyond for us: (1) April spent nearly four hours with us during our initial site visit to answer all of our questions and help us really see why this was the venue for us. She has her sales pitch down, but more importantly, was so willing to customize things to make the venue, the perks, and the pricing work for us. (2) We experienced rain on our wedding day, and they were so quick to think of ways to make our guests comfortable and the day still seamless. From providing towels and umbrellas to guests during the ceremony to making a quick switch from doing the cocktail hour in Rose Garden to an inside location, they worked behind the scenes to make sure the rain didn’t negatively affect our day. (3) They took the time to schedule a second walk through with us since Nikhil’s family is from out of time and was coming to see the venue for the first time the day before the wedding. (4) They offered us special touches and treatment that made us feel wonderful from upgraded beautiful rooms to finding time to say hi and congratulations to us on our wedding day. We could go on and on about how happy we are with our wedding venue choice and how grateful we are for April Chu and Kaley Houdyshell. Any bride or groom would be lucky to work with them.

    They were great. We had our morning after the wedding breakfast there and it was wonderful. We had about 40 pepole attend and it was so much fun. They were so nice and brought us champagne and a platter to our room for after the weeding...with extra bottled water and strawberries...

    Wedding Venue

    I had so many issues with the professionalism of the staff which included battle of the wedding coordinators, hidden fees, etc that my wedding day was almost ruined, however I need like the fact that upper management tried their best to accommodate me and my husband as fast as possible and resolve the issues we had. The venue is a beautiful place and the food was great once it was corrected. The price is steep but if you budget right you can have an amazing wedding!

    My husband and I chose the Marriott because we always heard such great things about this Marriott, and wanted as many things as possible included so we didn't have to use a million vendors. Leading up to our wedding, it was the absolute BEST customer service. They were always so caring and attentive. Even if you read all the other reviews, you hear about how helpful and awesome the staff was, head sets and all.
    None of the amazing things I heard in the past, or was promised, happened on our wedding day. Sadly for us, they over-promised and under-delivered. The day of our wedding, not one employee said anything to me or my husband. Every time I asked an employee something, no one knew what I was talking about. When I made it to the bridal retreat, which looks over the ceremony (which we had to go find and let ourselves in because no one was around to help us) nothing was set up according to the diagram my Marriott coordinator had discussed with me earlier. The one employee that was setting up the bar did not know what I was talking about. I lost a good part of the hour before my ceremony because I was trying to get a hold of my Marriott coordinator, or anyone who cared for that matter, to make sure things were going to be fixed and done correctly in the reception.
    I hired an outside coordinator, plus three additional people to help decorate. Without my three hired helpers, nothing would have gotten done. When the wedding party headed over to the reception to see it before they let people in, no bars were even set up! Our guests waited outside of the reception venue for 20-30 minutes while they set them up. Why shuffle them from cocktail hour if you aren't ready? I don't have enough room to discuss everything, but do your research. My wedding was beautiful (that I sadly had to stress and work hard for day of), food was great, and we are just going to try and forget that our wedding got lost in the shuffle of a busy "Newport Beach Marriott" day.
